정수장 내 축열조 설치 원수열원 히트펌프의 성능분석 (Studies on Raw-Water Source Heat Pump Equipped with Thermal Storage Tank in Water Treatment Facility)

  • 정수장 내 축열조 설치 원수열원 히트펌프시스템의 동적 특성을 TRNSYS 프로그램을 이용하여 모델링 하였다. 원수열원 히트펌프의 실증평가를 위해 성남정수장 내 축열조가 설치된 히트펌프 실험결과를 이용하여 검증하였고, 본 설비는 2010년 11월부터 운전되고 있다. 모델링 결과 원수열원 히트펌프의 평균 COP는 냉 난방 시 각각 4.97과 3.17을 나타냈다. 축열조 용량은 $5m^3$에서 $20m^3$로 변화시킬 때, 축열조 용량 $10m^3$ 에서 가장 높은 COP와 소비전력이 나타났다. 설치지역으로 서울, 인천, 강릉, 그리고 광주를 고려하였고, 지역에 따른 COP와 소비전력은 큰 변화가 없었으나 소비전력량에 있어서 난방 시에 위도가 높은 서울의 소비전력량이 가장 높으며, 냉방 시에 가장 낮게 나타났다. 본 시스템을 동일한 용량의 물-공기방식의 히트펌프와 비교할 때 평균 25%정도 낮은 소비전력량을 나타냈다.

고효율 공기열원 히트펌프시스템 실용화 연구 (Study for High Efficiency Heat Pump System Commercialization with Air Heat Source)

  • 공기열원 히트펌프시스템의 문제점, 즉 열효율, 안정성, 착상에 대한 현황을 파악하고 이를 해결하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 열효율과 안정성을 위해 기존 시스템을 보완한 8행정 냉매사이클시스템 개발과 제어시스템의 개발을 통해 히트펌프 시스템의 효율을 2배 정도 증가시키고, 안정성을 높이며, 착상 문제를 최소화할 수 있도록 하였다. 개발된 공기열원 히트펌프시스템의 COP는 평균 5정도이고, 안정적으로 운용되는 외부 온도는 $-10^{\circ}C$에서 $55^{\circ}C$까지이다. 토출되는 온수의 온도는 $50{\sim}60^{\circ}C$정도이다. 평균 제상시간은 1분 이내이다. 앞으로 개발해야 할 문제는 외부 온도 $-10^{\circ}C$ 이하지역에서 보조열원 없이 난방을 할 수 있고 친환경 냉매를 사용하며 COP가 7이상인 고효율 히트펌프시스템를 실용화하는 것이다.

수주지열정 지열원 열펌프 시스템의 집단주거시설 적용을 위한 기반 기술 분석 (A Study on the SCW Ground Source Heat Pump System Technologies for Residential Cluster Homes)

  • In this study, the technologies and regulations for distributing standing column well(SCW) ground source heat pump systems to the residential cluster homes were investigated. They have only been installed in the public or commercial building having different load pattern and site structure compared with the residential cluster homes. Some of SCWs for the residential cluster homes should be installed under the basement due to a lack of site area. There are pressure differences between the SCWs installed under ground surface and basement. It is needed to develop the technology or devices to prevent overflow caused by pressure difference among the SCWs. In addition, heat balance algorithm between SCWs should be adopted to maximize the system efficiency. A heat pump having heating, cooling, hot water, heating-hot water, and cooling-hot water modes should be developed for adopting an individual air-conditioning system to the residential cluster homes.

공기열원 히트펌프의 에너지원으로서 지하철 배열 이용에 관한 연구 (A study on the utilization of exhausted heat from subway for energy source of heat pump)

  • 지구환경 보존 및 화석연료의 고갈에 대한 대책으로 미활용 에너지원에 대한 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 관점에서 지하철에서 배기되는 공기를 공기열원 히트펌프의 열원으로 이용할 수 있는가를 알아보기 위해 서울 지하철 5호선 Y역을 대상역으로 선정하여 터널내의 공기온도, 배열량을 시뮬레이션하였다. 이 배열량을 난방용 열원으로 히트펌프에 이용했을 경우 전력소비량과 대기를 직접 이용하는 히트펌프의 전력소비량을 계산하여 에너지 절약량을 검토하였으며, 여름철 냉방 유무 및 환기시간에 따른 터널내 온열환경을 파악하였다.

  • This study presents heat pump system characteristics using hydrocarbon refrigerants as alternative refrigerant for R-22 with respect to the variation of indoor load. Pure R-22 and R-290. R-600a, R-1270 were considered as working fluids The experimental apparatus was constructed to investigate the performance of heat pump using the air as a heat source. The performance were calculated based on compression shaft work. refrigeration capacity. pressure ratio, discharge temperature and COP. The experimental results show that the COP and refrigeration capacity of hydrocarbon refrigerants were higher than that of R-22. Through the above. hydrocarbon refrigerants are good alternatives in the heat pump system for R-22.

  • Rising in important of alternative energy due to the recenfly high oil price and environment problem. Application of alternative energy has become higher than before. In this study, facility test of Geothermal energy to bankfiltration was examined appliying changwon pumping well. Initial installation cost was efficiently saved by connecting a heat pump system to pumping well in changwon bankfiltration site. A falling-off in efficiency of heat pump was free due to the bankfiltration that is rare for the temperature fluctuation. Therefore, Heat soure as bankfiltration system solve the existing facilities problems of geothermal heat pump system.

Advances on heat pump applications for electric vehicles

  • A detailed literature review is presented for the applications of the heat pump technologies on the electric vehicles Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system. Due to legal regulations, automotive manufacturers have to produce more efficient and low carbon emission vehicles. Electric vehicles can be provided these requirements but the battery technologies and energy managements systems are still developing considering battery life and vehicle range. On the other hand, energy consumption for HVAC units has an important role on the energy management of these vehicles. Moreover, the energy requirement of HVAC processes for different environmental conditions are significantly affect the total energy consumption of these vehicles. For the heating process, the coolant of internal combustion (IC) engine can be utilized but in electric vehicles, we have not got any adequate waste heat source for this process. The heat pump technology is one of the alternative choices for the industry due to having high coefficient of performance (COP), but these systems have some disadvantages which can be improved with the other technologies. In this study, a literature review is performed considering alternative refrigerants, performance characteristics of different heat pump systems for electric vehicles and thermal management systems of electric vehicles.

  • The integration of FC (Fuel Cell) and GSHP (Ground Source Heat Pump) hybrid system could produce a synergistic advantage in thermal and electric way. This study intends to analyse the economical aspect of a FC integrated GSHP hybrid system compared to the conventional system which is consisted with a boiler and a chiller. Based on the hourly simulation, the study indicated that GSHP system and FC+GSHP hybrid system could reduce the energy consumption on a building. The method of the economic assessment has been based on IEA ECBCS Annex 54 Subtask C SPB(Simple Payback) method. The SPB was calculated using the economic balanced year of the alternative system over the conventional (reference) system. The SPB of the alternative systems (GSHP and FC+GSHP) with 50% initial incentive was 4.06 and 26.73 year respectively while the SPB without initial incentive of systems was 10.71 and 57.76 year.

복수정을 이용한 개방형 지열 시스템의 초기투자비 회수기간 분석 (Analysis of the Initial Cost Payback Period on the Open-loop Geothermal System Using Two Wells)

  • Recently, ground source heat pump systems are being used in buildings for cooling and heating to reduce greenhouse gas and save energy. However, ground source heat pump systems mainly use the vertical closed-loop geothermal system design rather than the open-loop geothermal system design. This is due to a lack of knowledge and few research feasibility studies. In this research, a dynamic thermal analysis numerical simulation based on a standard house model was conducted for an open-loop geothermal system. Based on heating load analysis results, the life cycle costs of a standard house using an open two-well geothermal system were analyzed and compared with a vertical closed-loop geothermal system, and a diesel boiler. As a result, it was found that using an open two-well geothermal system shows economic return on investment after three years.

에너지슬래브 적용 지열원 열펌프 시스템의 성능 특성에 관한 실증 연구 (Heating and Cooling Performance of a Ground Coupled Heat Pump System with Energy-Slab)

  • Energy foundations and other thermo-active ground structure, energy wells, energy-slab, and pavement heating and cooling represent an innovative technology that contributes to environmental protection and provides substantial long-term cost savings and minimized maintenance. This paper focuses on earth-contact concrete elements that are already required for structural reasons, but which simultaneously work as heat exchangers. Pipes, energy slabs, filled with a heat carrier fluid are installed under conventional structural elements, forming the primary circuit of a geothermal energy system. The natural ground temperature is used as a heat source in winter and a heat sink in summer. The geothermal heat pump system with energy-slab represented very high heating and cooling performance due to the stability of EWT from energy slab. However, the performance of it seemed to be affected by the atmospheric air temperature.
