수직갱이 설치된 터널내 화재시 연기거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Smoke Movement in Tunnel Fires with a Vertical Shaft)

  • The present paper concerns a smoke movement in a tunnel fire with a vertical shaft. The model tunnel measured 13.4m long, 0.4m wide and 0.4m high. The cross section is 1: 20 of a full scale tunnel. Ethanol was used as a fuel. The fire size in model tests varied from 1.35 kW to 13.37 kW, which corresponds to full scale fires of 2.41 to 23.91 MW. Smoke front velocity and temperatrue were decreased due to the vertical shaft install. Temperature was reduced maximum about 2$0^{\circ}C$ at ceiling and about 23$^{\circ}C$ at vertical position. CO concentration was reduced as the vent width widened. When vent width was more than 15 cm, CO concentration was not reached 100 ppm. Descent degree of the smoke layer was confirmed through the visualization.

  • In this study, reduced-scale experiments were conducted to analyze smoke movement in tunnel fires according to vepntilation method. The 1/20 scale experiments were carried out under the Froude scaling using gasoline pool fires ranging from 6.6 to 10 cm in diameter corresponding to total heat release rate from 0.714 to 2.5 kW. Temperatures near the ceiling were lowered by installing the vent, and much lowered by operating fan compared wiht tile case without vent. In case of forced ventilation, the exhaust fan was more effective than the intake fan. Vertical temperatures at the upper part of the tunnel were also lowered by installing the vent. But, when suction fan was operated, temperatures at the lower part of the tunnel were higher than that without vent.

김해지방의 지표경계층내의 열수지 및 안정도 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Variations of Stability and Heat Budget in the Planetary Boundary Layer at Kimhae)

  • The research described in this paper was conducted to estimate the stability and heat budget in planetary boundary layer (PBL) at Kimhae. The upper air observation was carried out during period from 3 Februsry 1993 to 5 February 1993 at Kimhae. The surface observation data used the one during period from 1 April 1994 to 31 March 1995. The maximum height of inversion layer observed at Kimhae was 310 m. Destruction of the inversion was simultaneously occurred at the surface and the mid-layer (200 $\sim$ 300 m), however the origin of destruction is different each other. The surface inversion is destructed by surface heating owing to growing radiation in surface but disappearance of the mid-layer inversion is related to the upper cold air movement.

비행기 꼬리날개 주위의 기류에 관한 시뮬레이션 해석 (Simulation Analysis on Air Stream Around the Tail Wing of Airplane)

  • This study analyzes about the variation of pressure and stream velocity according to the movement of tail wing. The pressure at the front part of airplane becomes lower than at the rear part and the stream velocity has decreased by being bumped against the wing of airplane. The pressure at the front part of rudder becomes higher than at its rear part according to the movement of rudder among the tail wings of airplane. The more stream velocity becomes decreased, the more rudder spreads out. As the tail wing of airplane folds, the pressure at its front part becomes higher. And the pressure at its rear part becomes lower than at its front part. The more tail wing of airplane folds, the more stream velocity becomes decreased.

  • Development of 3 cylinder turbo charger engine is increasing due to engine down-sizing, cost reduction and emission regulations. However, 3 cylinder engine makes higher Exhaust manifold gas pressure(P3) pulsation than 4 cylinder engine and it generate boosting air with high pulsation. The mechanical waste-gate turbocharger just controlled by the boosting air has higher movement because of this high pulsation boosting air. This causes high vibrations to wasted gate and accelerate wear of the linkage system. So we need to understand out of the exhaust gas pressure pulsation changed by turbocharger compressor pressure(P2) Pulsation. In this study, we discuss how to prevent to abnormal movement of the turbo actuator by stabilized P2 Pulsation.

Numerical Simulations of the Moisture Movement in Unsaturated Bentonite Under a Thermal Gradient

  • The one-dimensional finite element program was developed to analyze the coupled behavior of heat, moisture, and air transfer in unsaturated porous media. By using this program, the simulation results were compared with those from the laboratory infiltration tests under isothermal condition and temperature gradient condition, respectively. The discrepancy of water uptake was found in the upper region of a bentonite sample under isothermal condition between numerical simulation and laboratory experiment. This indicated that air pressure was built up in the bentonite sample which could retard the infiltration velocity of liquid. In order to consider the swelling phenomena of compacted bentonite which cause the discrepancy of the distribution of water content and temperature, swelling and shrinkage factors were incorporated into the finite element formulation. It was found that these factors could be effective to represent the moisture diffusivity and unsaturated hydraulic conductivity due to volume change of bentonite sample.

3차원 CFD 시뮬레이션을 이용한 돔형 저온저장고 개발 (Development of Dome-Type Cold Storage Facility Using 3-D CFD Simulation)

  • This study was conducted to develop proper model for cold storage facility that could of for uniform heat movement and air movement f3r green grocery and improve improper design of the existing container-type cold storage facility. For that reason, new model(dome-type) cold storage facility was developed using 3-D CFD(computational fluid dynamics) simulation. The size was 6m${\times}$6m${\times}$5m. Its size and configuration were same to simulation model. Unit cooler was designed to send cold air in 4 side ways. A dome-type cold storage facility showed uniform distributions of air temperature and velocity because cold air was forced to move down along the ceiling and the wall and then circulated to the unit cooler from the central part of the floor. Dome-type cold storage facility also showed by low wind velocity, below 1 m/s that could minimized cold damage and quality deterioration.

공항 지상이동 경로 탐색을 위한 실용 알고리즘 개발 (Development of a Practical Algorithm for Airport Ground Movement Routing)

  • 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 항공수요에 따라, 공항운영 측면에서 이동지역 내 항공기 이동에 대한 효율성을 증대할 수 있는 방안의 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문은 공항 이동지역을 운항하는 항공기에게 최단경로를 적시에 제공하여 공항운영의 효율성을 증대시키기 위한 경로 탐색 알고리즘을 제시하고자 한다. 기존 문헌들에서 여러 알고리즘이 개발되었는데, 대표적으로 Dijkstra 알고리즘 $A^*$ 알고리즘이 있다. Dijkstra 알고리즘은 상대적으로 느린 연산속도로 인해 공항구조가 복합해질 경우 최단경로를 적시에 제공하기 어려울 수 있다는 단점이 있으며, $A^*$ 알고리즘은 최적성을 보장하지 못한다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 두 알고리즘을 병합하여, 각 알고리즘의 단점을 보완한 새로운 Hybrid $A^*$ 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 성능분석 결과, Hybrid $A^*$ 알고리즘은 경로탐색에 있어 빠른 연산속도와 최적성이 개선됨을 확인하였다.

일반보행보조기(RGO)와 동력보행보조기(PGO)의 보행시 에너지 소모도 비교 평가 분석 (Comparison of Energy Consumption of Reciprocating Gait Orthosis(RGO) and Powered Gait Orthosis(PGO) during Gait)

  • The aim of this study ultimately is verifying that PGO gait is more efficient than RGO fur paraplegics because the air muscle assists hip flexion power in heel off movement. The gait characteristics of the paraplegic wearing the PGO or RGO are compared with that of a normal person. PGO with air muscles was used to analyze the walking of patients with lower-limb paralysis, and the results showed that the hip joint flexion and pelvic tilt angle decreased in PGO. In comparison to RGO gait, which is propelled by the movements of the back, PGO uses air muscles, which decreases the movement in the upper limb from a stance phase rate of 79$\pm$4%(RGO) to 68$\pm$8%. The energy consumption rate was 8.65$\pm$3.3 (ml/min/Kg) for RGO, while it decreased to 7.21t2.5(ml/min/Kg) for PGO. The results from this study show that PGO decreases energy consumption while providing support for patients with lower-limb paralysis, and it is helpful in walking for extended times.

  • Resident's agreeableness anger elevation request by improvement of life environment with economy development is increasing recently. However, research about air current estimation in dwelling environment that make use of air conditioner summer and cooling room is lacking going yet much. We are going to prefer most air current pattern(speed 3 steps of swing) that offer in PAC after figure processing because user's life hysteresis and present air current pattern that is supposed and offer more agreeable environment to room resident.
