예혼합 압축 착화 엔진용 고압 인젝터의 분무특성과 분사조건 최적화에 관한 기초 연구 (The basic study of spray characteristics and optimal fuel injection for high pressure injector in homogeneous charge compression ignition engine)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the fuel spray characteristics that made most important at an homogeneous air fuel mixture, in a common rail direct injection type HCCI engine. As a study conducted relation which a back pressure and injection pressure are influenced to air fuel mixture characteristics, we tried to offer date even through we select suitable to a HCCI engine running condition of the fuel injection condition. To accomplish the study, to measure a injection rate of common rail type injector and to visualize and simulate a fuel spray was conducted. From the result of injection rate, a common rail injector was confirmed to appear a initial delay of 0.3msec and a latter period delay of 0.7msec. Therefore, real injection duration was determined by about 0.5msec increasing. From the result of fuel spray, the spray penetration was proportional to 1/4 exponent of atmosphere pressure. An experimental equation was deduced from the spray penetration of spray visualization experiment and the relation of injection duration and penetration was estimated in HCCI engine using an experimental equation.

가스인젝션을 적용한 이산화탄소 열펌프의 난방성능 향상에 관한 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study on the Heating Performance Improvement of a CO2 Heat Pump Using Vapor Injection)

  • In this study, a simulation model for a $CO_2$ heat pump using vapor injection was developed and validated. It was used to predict the improvement of the heating performance of the $CO_2$ heat pump at various operating conditions. The simulation results showed consistent results with the measured data. The heating performances of the vapor injection and non-injection heat pumps were compared by varying the outdoor temperature and compressor frequency. The heating capacity of the vapor injection heat pump was 40% higher than that of the non-injection heat pump at the outdoor temperature of $-8^{\circ}C$. The performance of the vapor injection heat pump was consistently higher than that of the non-injection heat pump even when the compressor frequency was reduced to 35 Hz at the outdoor temperature of $-3^{\circ}C$.

자주식 심토환경 개선기 개발(2) - 본체 제작 및 성능 평가 - (Development of Self-propelled Explosive Subsoiler (2) - Construction of Prototype and Performance Evaluation -)

  • This study was carried out to develop a self-propelled type explosive subsoiler for improving the root zone soil conditions in orchard and other forest fields. Prototype was designed to be able to inject air and other soil improving material such as lime into soil at the same time, and thus improve the air permeability and drainage of orchard soils to promote the root growth of tree for high quality fruit production. Soil penetration device of explosive subsoiler is composed of air hammer, penetration rob and air injection nozzle. To support the soil penetration device of explosive subsoiler to penetrate vertically, modified Scott-Russel mechanism was used. Timing control device for simultaneous injection of soil improving material with air was attached to the out side wall of air cylinder and as the cylinder move, the soil improving material was injected into soil at the same time. Turning radius of prototype was 2.2-2.3 m with good mobility in sloped land. It took approximately 1 minute for lime injection system to reach the optimum pressure of 9.9 kg/$cm^2$, average 10-20 seconds were required to rupture soil with the depth of 50 cm and 2-3 seconds were required for explosion, so all in all about 1 minute and 20 seconds were required for one cycle of explosion. Maximum soil rupture depth and diameter were 50 cm and 3-4 m respectively depending on the soil type and soil moisture content. For final design of explosive subsoiler inclination angle of lime hopper was increased from 60 degree to 70 degree and the shape of hopper was changed from rectangular cone to circular cone to solve the clogging problem of lime at out let. Agitating system operated by compressed air was attached to the metering device of the prototype, thus more than 90 cc of lime was discharged per cycle from metering device without clogging problems.

Cosolvent와 공기 동시 주입 공정에 의한 토양 내 벤젠-NAPL 세정 증대 연구 (Enhanced Removal of Benzene-NAPL in Soil using Concurrent Injection of Cosolvent and Air)

  • 유류 및 유기용매와 같은 비수용상액체(non-aqueous phase liquids; NAPL)는 환경에 유출되어 토양 및 지하수를 지속적으로 오염시키는 오염원이 된다. 최근 새로운 NAPL 오염 정화기술로서 보고된 알코올 세정액 및 공기 동시 주입에 의한 NAPL 제거 기술을 중규모 토양칼럼시스템에서 Light NAPL(벤젠)을 대상으로 효과를 확인하는 것이 첫 번째 연구목적이며 두 번째 연구목적은 NAPL과 접촉할 경우 알코올의 분배 형태가 각기 다른 에탄올과 Tert-butanol (TBA)의 세정 효과 차이점을 평가하는 것이다. 에탄올-세정액과 공기 동시 주입 공정의 경우 중규모 칼럼 실험에서도 기존의 미세공극채널모델 실험 결과와 동일한 결과를 얻었다. 즉 에탄올 세정액과 동시 주입된 공기는 우선흐름경로에 위치하여 에탄올 세정액을 지속적으로 우선흐름경로 밖으로 밀어내었고, 이로 인하여 세정액과 NAPL의 접촉이 증대되면서 NAPL 용해를 향상시켰다. 반면 TBA에 의한 NAPL의 주요 메카니즘은 NAPL 용해보다 자유상 이동에 의해 이루어졌고 공기 동시 주입 시 NAPL 제거효과가 오히려 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 TBA의 점성력이 토양 공극 모세관 힘보다 상대적으로 커서 NAPL 및 공기를 밀어내는 정도가 큰 것으로 해석되었다. TBA는 자체의 점성력만으로 NAPL을 제거할 수 있으므로 공기에 의한 영향이 적으며 오히려 이동하는 NAPL의 진로를 공기가 방해하여 NAPL 제거효과가 적게 나타났다. 즉 알코올 세정액과 공기 동시 주입 공정의 경우 알코올의 특성에 따라 효과가 매우 다르게 나타났다.

Effect of Swirling Flow by Normal Injection of Secondary Air on the Gas Residence Time and Mixing Characteristics in a Lab-Scale Cold Model Combustor

  • The present study investigates gas residence time and mixing characteristics for various swirl numbers generated by injection of secondary air into a lab-scale cylindrical combustor. Fine dust particles and butane gas were injected into the test chamber to study the gas residence time and mixing characteristics, respectively. The mixing characteristics were evaluated by standard deviation value of trace gas concentration at different measurement points. The measurement points were located 25 mm above the secondary air injection position. The trace gas concentration was detected by a gas analyzer. The gas residence time was estimated by measuring the temporal pressure difference across a filter media where the particles were captured. The swirl number of 20 for secondary air injection angle of 5$^{\circ}$ gave the best condition: long gas residence time and good mixing performance. Numerical calculations were also carried out to study the physical meanings of the experimental results, which showed good agreement with numerical results.

호기성 Bioreactor 매립지에 있어서 공기주입량이 선별토사의 안정화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Air Injection Quantity on Stabilization of Screened Soil in Aerobic Bioreactor Landfill)

  • 본 연구는 공기주입에 의한 고형 폐기물의 빠른 안정화를 달성할 수 있는 매립지의 호기성 공정을 평가하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 실험은 매립지에서 최적의 공기주입방법을 평가하기 위해 선별토사를 충전한 4개의 모의 매립조(혐기성, 1PV(pore volume/day)공기주입, 5PV 공기주입, 10PV 공기주입)를 운영하였다. 선별토사를 충전한 bioreactor를 호기성으로 운전한 경우에 공기를 주입하지 않은 bioreactor에 비해 유기물 분해가 뛰어난 것으로 나타났다. 매립가스의 발생량 및 조성변화와 soil respiration test 결과로부터 5 PV/day으로 공기를 주입한 bioreactor가 유기물 분해율이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • The spray characteristics of air-assisted fuel injection and its effects on the engine combustion was investigated in this study. The atomization characteristics of a Bosch fuel injector inserted into the air-assist adapter were measured using particle motion analysis system. Droplet size decreased with air supplied and fine spray with below $60\mu\textrm{m}$ of SMD was acquired under the conditions of air-assist pressure over 0.5bar. The lean combustion performance of a 1.8L DOHC engine equipped with air-assist adapters was tested on the dynamometer. When the assistant air pressure is 1.0bar, lean limit recorded the highest value, and CO, HC emissions were decreased at the pressure over 1.0bar.

  • Recently, there has been an interest in premixed diesel engines as it has the potential of achieving a more homogeneous and leaner mixture close to TDC compared to conventional diesel engines. Because this concept reduced NOx and smoke emissions simultaneously. Early studies are shown that in a HCCI(Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) engine, the fuel injection timing and intake air temperature affect the mixture formation. The purpose of this study is to investigate characteristics of combustion and mixture formation according to injection timing and intake air temperature in a common rail direct injection type HCCI engine using an early injection method called the PCCI(Premixed Charge Compression Ignition). From this study, we found that the fuel injection timing and intake air temperature affect the mixture formation and in turn affects combustion in the PCCI engine.

  • Plastic material has been applied to many automobile parts with the automotive lightweighting trend. In this study, a passenger air bag(PAB) housing which is produced by steel material in the present were molded using a plastics material. Before design and making of a mold for the PAB housing molding, it was carried out injection molding analysis. By analyzing the deformation results, the correction dimension for mold designing was determined. The design and manufacturing the mold applied the correction dimension were conducted. It was performed actual injection molding. The warpage value of the PAB housing was similar to the warpage of the injection molding analysis.

분위기 조건 변화에 따른 저압 직접분사식 LPG의 점화성 및 연소특성 연구 (A Study on Ignition Probability and Combustion Characteristics of Low Pressure Direct Injection LPG according to a Function of Ambient Condition)

  • Under part load condition of spark-ignition engine, pumping loss had great effect on engine efficiency. To reduce pumping loss, the study designed spark-ignited engines to make direct spray of gasoline to combustion chamber. In spark-ignited direct-injection engines, ignition probability is important for successful combustion and flame propagation characteristics are also different from pre-mixed combustion. This study designed a visualization testing device to study ignition probability of spark-ignited direct-injection LPG fuel and combustion flame characteristics. This visualization device consists of combustion chamber, fuel supply system, air supply system, electronic control system and data acquisition system. Ambient pressure, ambient temperature and ambient air flow velocity are important parameters on ignition probability of LPG-air mixture and flame propagation characteristics, and the study also found that sprayed LPG fuel can be directly ignited by spark-plug under proper ambient conditions. To all successful cases of ignition, the study recorded flame propagation image in digital method through ICCD camera and its flame propagation characteristics were analyzed.
