This study was conducted to investigate the seasonal variation characteristics of phytoncide in trail of Ulsan Metropolitan. Air samples were collected from May to December 2011. They were collected using Tenax Ta tube and phytoncides were detected and quantified using a Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GC/MSD). This study are summarized as follows; The seasonal concentrations of phytoncide are Munsu Mt. 272.3 ${\mu}g/m^3$, Samho Mt. 192.4 ${\mu}g/m^3$, Shinbul Mt. 50.9 ${\mu}g/m^3$, Sibli Bamboo forest 22.4 ${\mu}g/m^3$ and Joongbu Fire Station 24.4 ${\mu}g/m^3$. In Munsu Mt., Samho Mt. and Shinbul Mt. major component ratio is ${\alpha}$-Pinene > ${\beta}$-Pinene+Myrcene >Limonene >Camphene > ${\gamma}$-Terpinene > ${\alpha}$-Terpinene. Bamboo forest and Joongbu fire station major component ratio is ${\alpha}$-Pinene >Limonene > ${\beta}$-Pinene+Myrcene >Camphene > ${\alpha}$-Terpinene. The variation of seasonal concentration is summer >spring >fall >winter. The phytoncide concentration of coniferous forest(Munsu Mt., Samho Mt.) is higher than broadleaf forest(Shinbul Mt.).

The purpose of this study is to investigate consumer needs, image sensibility and preference of bedding fabric according to size and spacing of dot pattern. 18 kinds of dot pattern fabrics were designed with different diameters(6, 8, 10cm) and distances(4, 7, 10cm) in regular arrangement of diamond figure. The subjects were 162 male and female university students. The data were analyzed by SPSS 24.0. Fabrics were assessed subjectively using a 5-point scale 17 consumer needs and 33 sensory descriptors. The most consumer's needs for bedding fabric was shown to be functionality of bedding including hygiene, touch, warmth, ease of washing and management, air permeability, and hygroscopicity. The other parameters of consumer's needs were shown to be physical property and design parameter. The results of analysis of the dimension of image sensibility for fabrics with different size and spacing of dots are derived from six factors including joyfulness, coziness, uniqueness, charm, femininity, and complexity. As a result of analysis of preference with fabric kinds, there was a significant difference in preference with fabrics. The preferred fabrics were characterized by the pattern and the base fabric being striking three-dimensionally with 1/3 twill and 3/1 twill fabric. Sensory descriptors related to joyful image and unique image were analyzed as evaluation terms that can distinguish the preferences of fabrics. Correlation analysis showed the fabrics are preferred as the difference in luminance and reflectance between the base and pattern of the fabric become larger and the spacing of patterns become closer.

A cyst is a pathologic lesion characterized by a cavity filled with fluid, celluar products, air, or a combination of these. Dentigerous cysts were formed around the crown of unerupted teeth. The reduced enamel epithelium persists around the crown after it has formed. Proliferation of the epithelium in a fluid-filled sac may be induced by osmotic pressure. In the first decade the most frequent location is the premolar site. In each subsequent decade the largest number of cysts are in the mandibular third molar site, with the second most frequent site being the maxillary canine. The treatment of odontogenic cyst can be mostly classified into three types of cyst enucleation, marsupialization and decompression. We should consider age of patient, anatomic structure, location and size for choosing a treatment method. Advantage of cyst enucleation is fast healing, but a injury of a surrounding structure is highly. Marsupialization is conservative treatment that can reduce the damage of a adjacent structure, but it is only limited at superficial lesion. Decompression also is conservative treatment, but it has the difficulty of the oral hygiene and the troublesome of the lavage. We present the possibility that reduces the defect of decompression and cures the lesion efficiently. We report a male patient with the dentigerous cyst developed at left mandibular third molar in this study. We used the decompression for a treatment and created special appliance to treat the lesion efficiently. We report a case of the cyst treatment that is association with efficiency of decompression appliance.
In this study, recognized building-related health symptoms of various workers in dental college hospitals are surveyed and analyzed in order to improve indoor environment at dental college hospitals. We conducted a questionnaire survey for 682 workers in three dental college hospitals located in Seoul from Sep. 20 to Oct. 8, 2004. Most workers at dental hospitals complained about noise, poor ventilation, dusty environment, and air dryness. SBS symptoms score for subjects was 1.43${\pm}$0.74 (often feel) and major symptoms was throat, CNS, eye, and nose symptoms. Recognized Building-related health symptoms are significantly related to tasks, working experience, job-satisfaction, indoor environment recognition index, medical history, used to special material, and number of dental unit chair. Also working places and ventilation are significantly related to the symptom. Based on the results, it can be said that special dental treatment causes undesirable environment such as noise, dust, and bad odor. It is also related to recognized building related health symptoms reported by workers at dental hospitals. So managemental efforts are needed to improve indoor environment which is related by dental treatment.

Acanthamoeba, a free-living amoeba, is widely distributed in the environment, water sources, soil, dust, and air. It can cause keratitis in contact lens wearers with poor hygiene and also fatal granulomatous amebic encephalitis (GAE) in immunocompromised hosts. The aim of this study was to gain some insights into the distribution and genotypes of the potentially pathogenic species of Acanthamoeba present in water sources in north of Iran. Total 43 Acanthamoeba species were isolated from 77 water samples taken from different water sources within the Mazandaran province in Northern Iran (Sari city and suburbs). Isolates were identified based on cyst and trophozoite morphological characteristics as well genetics. PCR fragments corresponding to the small-subunit 18S rRNA gene were sequenced for 20 of 43 positive isolates. The results revealed that 83.3% of sequenced isolates belonged to the T4 genotype and the rest belonged to the T2 genotype. Our results indicated that Acanthamoeba is widely distributed in Sari city. As the incidence in Iran of amoebic keratitis has increased in recent years, the exact estimation of the prevalence of this amoeba and its predominant genotype may play a crucial role in prevention of the disease. Sari city has several rivers, seashores, and natural recreational amenities, which attract visitors during the year. This is the first report of Acanthamoeba genotypes from water sources in Sari city, Mazandaran province of Iran, and the results suggest that more attention is needed to protect the visiting population and immunocompromised individuals.
Life-style factors often include social relationships as well as consumption, entertainment and dress patterns. They also typically reflect an individual's attitudes, values and worldview. Life-style types have become and an important factor for segmenting customer markets ever since significant relationships between life-style and customers' behavior was proven. This study examined the relationships between the life-styles of young customers' and the important attributes of foodservice encounters. Factors analysis with VARIMAX and K-means cluster analysis were conducted to group the subjects by life-style. According to the factors analysis, four underlying dimensions were identified and labeled: (1) 'actively fashioned', (2) 'luxury picky', (3) 'healthy toward', and (4) 'utilitarian leisure'. Based on the factor scores derived from the factors analysis, the K-means cluster analysis classified three groups as statistically significant using ANOVA(p<0.05). The overall mean score for the 3rd cluster 'trendy-active picky' was higher than the other two clusters, and represented very picky attitudes about foodservice attributes. The 3rd cluster also seemed to apply higher standards to all of the foodservice attributes. By order of importance, the most important attributes of the 2nd cluster 'pursue-utilitarian leisure' were food serving time, automation systems, server's hygienes, employee kindness, time in line, and menu variety. In spite of low concerns for the life-style attributes, the first cluster 'passively indifferent' recognized menu variety, food sanitation, food serving time, server's hygiene, menu price, air circulation, and room temperature as important. These results suggest that young diners in Korea could be classified by their diverse life-styles that are represented as trendy, utilitarian, and indifferent and will hopefully contribute to the foodservice industry's ability to segment customer characteristics by different life-styles in Korea.

Fishery and shipping industry are ones of the important industries for the Republic of Korea, and the education of competent technicians is a essential-important factor for the further development in these fields. To this end, curriculum for the fisheries and/or merchant marine high schools are rearranged to meet the industrial needs and social change. In this study, the existing goal of education is rearranged inclusively to meet the further development and the curriculum to realize the goal. The departments are reorganized into nine ones by establishing new two. They are Department of Refrigeration Mechanical Engineering and of Automated-ship Operation. Four departments of existing seven-Department of Fish Aquaculture, of Fish Processing, of Marine Engine and of Marine Communication-are renamed into Department of Aquaculture, of Food Processing, of Power Mechanical Engineering and of Electronic Communication respectively. The remaining three departments- Department of Fishing Technology, of Self-managing Fisheries and of Navigation-are unchanged. The specialized subjects are revised as follows; (1) The existing seven subjects especially prepared for the fisheries and/or merchant marine high schools are changed into the common subjects for all the vocational high schools. They are Food Science, Food Hygiene, Food Processing Machinery, Air-conditioning Facilities, Welding and Piping, Communication Law and Introduction to Computer. (2) Two subjects are newly established: Refrigeration Mechanical Engineering and Automated-ship Operation. (3) Four subjects are disused : Sea Training, Fisheries Law, Canned Food and Practice in Communication. (4) Introduction to ship, to Marine Engine and to Marine Communication are merged into Introduction to ship. (5) The compulsory major subject is fixed as Introduction to Fisheries for the fisheries high schools and Introduction to shipping Industry for the merchant marine high schools.
In this study the anaerobic degradation of nitrate by in GFM (gel and foam matrix) and bead gel immobilized Paracoccus denitrificans DSM 65 in continous culture was conducted. A novel GFM immobilization system was developed in order to improve conventional system (bead). With increasing nitrate concentration in water, the nitrate reduction rate was increased. The observed maximum denitrification rate by in GFM immobilized cells was 177 mg/L h in buffered water, while that was 33 mg/L h in tap water. In comparison with bead system the reduction activity by GFM system showed $1.2{\sim}2.1$ times better. The denitrification activity was not changed after 16 days storage at $5^{\circ}C$ and also showed better activity than that of free cells or even bead immobilized cells.
Background: The aims of this study were to determine hippuric acid levels in urine samples, airborne toluene levels, acute and chronic neurological symptoms, and to describe any correlation between urinary hippuric acid and airborne toluene. Methods: The hippuric acid concentration in the urine of 87 paint workers exposed to toluene at work (exposed group), and 87 nonexposed people (control group) was studied. Study participants were selected from similar factories in the same region. Urine samples were collected at the end of a shift and analyzed for hippuric acid by high performance liquid chromatography. Air samples for the estimation of toluene exposure were collected with diffusive personal samplers and the toluene quantified using gas-liquid chromatography. The two groups were also interviewed and observed about their work practices and health. Results: The median of the 87 airborne toluene levels was 55 ppm (range, 12-198 ppm). The median urinary hippuric acid level was 800 mg/g creatinine (range, 90-2547 mg/g creatinine). A statistically significant positive correlation was found between airborne toluene exposure and urine hippuric acid levels (r = 0.548, p < 0.01). Workers with acute symptoms had significantly higher hippuric acid levels than those who did not (p < 0.05). It was concluded that there was a significant correlation between toluene exposure, hippuric acid levels, and health (p < 0.001). Conclusion: There appears to be a significant correlation between workers exposure to toluene at work, their urine hippuric acid levels, and resulting symptoms of poor health. Improvements in working conditions and occupational health education are required at these workplaces. There was good correlation between urinary hippuric acid and airborne toluene levels.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to provide baseline data for the assessment of exposure to indium and to prevent adverse health effects among workers engaged in the electronics and related industries in Republic of Korea. Methods: Total (n = 369) and respirable (n = 384) indium concentrations were monitored using personal air sampling in workers at the following 19 workplaces: six sputtering target manufacturing companies, four manufacturing companies of panel displays, two companies engaged in cleaning of sputtering components, two companies dedicated to the cleaning of sputtering target, and five indium recycling companies. Results: The level of exposure to total indium ranged from 0.9 to 609.3 ㎍/m3 for the sputtering target companies; from 0.2 to 2,782.0 ㎍/m3 for the panel display companies and from 0.5 to 2,089.9 ㎍/m3 for the indium recycling companies. The level of exposure to respirable indium was in the range of 0.02 to 448.6 ㎍/m3 for the sputtering target companies; 0.01 to 419.5 ㎍/m3 for the panel display companies; and 0.5 to 436.3 ㎍/m3 for the indium recycling companies. The indium recycling companies had the most samples exceeding the exposure standard for indium, followed by sputtering target companies and panel display companies. Conclusions: The main finding from this exposure assessment is that many workers who handle indium compounds in the electronics industry are exposed to indium levels that exceed the exposure standards for indium. Hence, it is necessary to continuously monitor the indium exposure of this workforce and take measures to reduce its exposure levels.
