NON-CONTACT SENSORS FOR DETECTING DISTANCE FROM THE FIELD SURFACE

  • A non-contact sensor for detecting distance from field surface to a predetermined location of a tractor will be useful to control precise height of implements such as tillage machinery, mowers etc.. An optical and an ultrasonic sensors were designed and fabricated . The indoor and outdoor experiments were conducted to obtain the static and dynamic characteristics of the two sensors at several moisture levels of four soils and on the soil surface with a designed shape. The results revealed that the optical sensor is unsuitable for soils with high moisture content but showed better detecting accuracy on the irregularity of soil surface.

  • 본 연구에서는 PC 기반으로 시설하우스의 생장환경을 자동으로 제어하는 기존 농업 IT시스템을 스마트폰 기반의 모바일 앱으로 제어할 수 있는 시스템으로 설계하고 구현하였다. 모바일 앱은 모바일 디바이스의 특징인 높은 이동성, 자원의 제약성, 모바일 무선네트워크지원, 엔터프라이즈 모바일 컴퓨팅 지원 등의 특징을 가지고 있기 때문에 하이브리드 앱의 채택이 필연적이라고 할 수 있다. 하이브리드 앱을 통해서 업무를 수행하는데 자원 소비를 최소화 할 수 있었고, 모바일 디바이스의 한계에도 불구하고 높은 성능을 이끌어 낼 수 있었으며, 서비스 기반 아키텍쳐의 신뢰성을 확보하였고 복잡도가 높은 기능을 구현할 수 있었다. 본 시스템의 개발을 통해서 최신 IT농업을 발전시켜 농민의 소득증대와 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 것으로 보고 있다.

The Development of Walking Tractors for Asian Agriculture

  • This paper describes the research and development of Walking Tractors and Tillage Implements for Phase I (1991-1992) . The project consists of : (1) the study and need for the development of the walking tractors for Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries ; (2) the comparison in the use of the walking tractors and their transmission systems that are made in Thailand and aborad : and (3) the design of future walking tractors for Asian farmers in developing countries. The design of the walking tractors is concentrated to provide the ease to farmers, especially the elderly and female which will play an important role in the future agriculture of Thailand due to the lack of manpower. In addition , the design of the walking tractors is also aiming for small-scale farmers, the majority that have limited land capital. The walking tractors consist of several components but the most important one is the " Transmission System" . Thus, the research is concentrated in the devel pment an design of the a new transmission system. The new machine , currently developed, is named after the Chulalongkron University as " Chular Walking Tractor " , model SPJS -60. The tractor uses a 6-7 horsepower diesel engine with three forward gears and one reverse gear. The tractor also uses the latest gearing technology so called planetary gearing system with steering clutches system that never been used in any earlier model. The advantages of the planetary gearing system are : (1) the final drive gear can be small, and can be designed to provide higher strength with less wearing resistance, (2) the system eliminates a shaft which is used in other systems, thus reduces the weight and the manufacturing cost . Furthermore, the Chular Walking Tractor has an additional power take off shaft that can be used or linked with other standard agricultural implements.

농업용 면세유의 경제적 파급영향 계측 (A Measurement on the Economic Impact of Tax-free Oil for Agriculture)

  • 본 논문은 농업부문 에너지 기본정책으로 시행되고 있는 정부의 면세유 공급정책의 경제적 파급효과를 측정한 내용을 담고 있다. 1986년부터 농가의 영농활동 지원을 위해 시행되어온 면세유 공급정책은 최근 국제유가가 급등함에 따라 확대 공급에 대한 농가의 요구가 높아지고 있는 상황이다. 그러나 면세유의 공급량이 최근 지속해서 감소하고 있고, 더욱이 산업통상자원부는 면세유 일몰정책의 추진을 지속해서 요구하고 있는 실정이다. 이와 같이, 정부의 농업부문 면세유 공급정책에 대한 확대 및 축소의 상반된 요구가 고조되고 있는 상황에서, 면세유 공급의 경제적 효과를 파악하여, 농업용 면세유의 경제적 기여도와 역할을 규명할 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 계량경제학적 방법을 이용하여 면세유 공급의 경제적 효과를 계측한 과정과 결과를 소개하고 있다. 분석결과, 농업용 면세유가 5년에 걸쳐 단계적으로 철폐되는 경우, 5년차 되는 해에 농업부문 GDP는 3조 1,950억원 감소하고, 농산물 가격은 26.6 포인트 상승하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 우리나라 농업은 고령화로 인해 인력이 부족해 생산성이 감소하고 있다. 이를 극복하기 위해 농업용 로봇 시장이 빠르게 성장하고 있으며 농업용 로봇의 원격제어와 자율주행에 관한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 농업용 로봇의 외형 및 구조를 설계하고 구동을 위한 장치 및 제어시스템을 구현하였다. LiDAR 센서를 활용, 최적화해 자율주행을 위한 필수 기능인 객체 인식기술을 적용하였다. 이를 통해 농업에서 노동력이 가장 많이 필요한 운송작업의 인건비 절감과 더불어 생산성을 향상 시킬 수 있다.

밭 농업용 무한궤도 기반 주행 플랫폼 개발 및 성능 분석 (Development and performance analysis of a crawler-based driving platform for upland farming)

  • We developed a crawler-based driving platform that can perform harvesting, transportation, pest control, and rotary operation by equipping it with various implements, and analyzed its performance. This single platform was developed to perform as pepper harvester, peanut harvester, and transporter with a 46-kW engine. A simulation model was developed to study the specifications of the platform, and the accuracy was also analyzed. The absolute percentage error ranged from 0.2 to 5.9%, which made it possible to predict the platform performance using simulation model. In T-test, both torque and speed on field and asphalt showed a significant difference (1%). Driving torque required differed depending on the nature of the field, and the speeds also changed based on soil load. The developed platform has the advantage of being equipped with a variety of working tools, expected to be used to harvest root crops in the future.

  • The main purpose of this study is to examine agricultural technologies through plowing and hoeing. One of the purposes on which this study is to analysis process of development and divergence of plough and hoe. The following facts are significant findings ; 1. In early Yi - dynasty, tilling implements used by ard plough and mould board plough did use in three south province, most region mainly used ard plough. Therefore, farming in early Yi - dynasty is extensive. 2. The mould board plough diffused in many fann house, spring farming and autumnfarming formed complet system in early 17th Century. But works of hoeing was continuing to save labor by long hand hoe. 3. Finally in 17th century, Small - scale independent farming ceaselessly tried to make his basis with transtortation intensive farming method. But Small - scale independent farming had not stafely base because extensive farming method continued in this peorid.

  • This study intends to consider about the food culture during the latterly Chosun Dynasty through the genre paintings which are depicted realistically about the total food life figures for example not only the foods, but also that people who eat and drink the food and eating implements, eating methods. There are 9 pieces of works Kim hong-do's which are the best appraisal on the incorporated Korean emotion and on the real life of general public. Those are selected for this study's characteristics through the literature consideration. The characteristics of the tableware pottery and food culture are following things. The first is a white porcelain's development and popularization. In the latterly Chosun Dynasty period, the development of the agriculture and commerce made been connected to the affluent food cultures, these made increase the porcelain's use of upper classes and these made been connected to the development of the porcelain's cultures. The second is the development of various pottery with a dark brown glaze manufactures. The development of agriculture and economy power made bring the development of the kinds of sauces and Kimchi culture with an inflow of foreign crops and these made making the large an earthenware pot or jar which could store something during the long time. The third is the development of the small dining table on the eating the bread of idleness. In the Chosun dynasty period, the food style was been unified to he eating the bread of idleness and been lowered. These made developed of various small dining table through the underfloor heating system's generalization. The fourth is the development of the spoon with the soup culture. It is the East Asia called that the spoon culture boundary, this show the characteristic that we use the spoon mainly compare with another countries. Finally, it is universal use of the fixed quantitative implements. They could live quantitative life with the scales which are jar of soy sauce, liquor jug, jar, scoop leading a set of tableware.

농작업 부하 계측을 위한 80kW급 계측 트랙터 개발 및 검증 (Development of the 80-kW Test Tractor for Load Measurement of Agricultural Operations)

  • RIn this study, a test tractor that could measure various types of agricultural operational loads was developed, and its performance was verified. This tractor could be used to measure the load generated during agricultural work and convert the related data into a database. A test tractor was developed using an 80-kW-rated load tractor, and it could measure various types of field test data, such as engine torque and rpm, wheel torque, PTO(power take-off) torque, hexometer, IMU/INS sensor, steering angle sensor, hydraulic pressure, and flow sensor data. To verify the developed test tractor, a verification test using an agriculture rotavator was performed. The test conditions were L1, L2, and L3 based on the tractor's main and sub-transmission stages, and stages 1 and 2 were selected as the PTO. In a comparison of the analyzed test data, similar tendencies in the test results of this research and other research (Kim's research) were seen. Through this, the developed test tractor was verified. In the future, we plan to conduct research on the tractor developed in this study using various attached working machines.

  • Livelihood capitals have a clear influence on livelihood development. As for the livelihood results, it has been pointed out in the analysis of the poor households that the ability of people to escape poverty depends especially on the access to livelihood capitals. This study aims to analyze the impacts of livelihood capital on poverty among mountain people who depend on forests through human capital, social capital, natural capital, physical capital and financial capital. This research employs the model of binary regression function. Independent variables x1, x2, …, xn are targets of livelihood strategy, vulnerability context, and livelihood capitals. These variables were selected to be included in the original model with dependent variable Y as poor and non-poor households. This study surveys households living in upland areas, near forests, and households of ethnic minorities. The results show that,out of the poor household rate, nearly 4% are newly-poor households or those falling back into poverty. Therefore, the government needs to pay more attention to this disadvantaged group and implements policies such as education and training policies, credit support policies, policies to support forest development, and payment for forest environmental services in the context of emerging countries like Vietnam.
