토양정보별 포장내 공간변이 예측에 관한 연구 (The Prediction of Spacial Variability for Soil Information in Paddy Field)

  • This study was carried out to verify and predict the soil informations such as the contents of organic matter(OM) and Mg and pH of the soil. The predictability of spacial variation in the paddy field was examined by analyzing the various soil information. The prediction models for the OM pH, and Mg, were developed using inverse distance weighted (IDW), triangulated irregular network(TIN) and Kriging model. The determination of coefficients of linear and spherical Kriging models were 0.756 and 0.578, respectively, and were very low in comparison with other soil information. For IDW and TIN model, the determination of coefficients were 1.000 and hence the performance of the models was found to be excellent. The developed models were validated using unknown soil sample obtained In 2000 and 2001. From the analysis of relationship between the measured pH and predicted 0.9353. For prediction of Mg, the determination of coefficient is more than 0.8. Since the determination of coefficients of developed models for OM were relatively low, it may be difficult to predict the content of OM using the developed models. For further study, the additional works to enhance the performance of the prediction models for soil information are required.

소규모 작업장 작업자들의 인간공학적 평가 및 정량적 부하 평가 -한과작업장을 중심으로- (Assessment of Working Posture Using RULA and REBA in Small Plants with Agricultural Products)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 소규모 농산물 가공공장 중 하나인 한과작업장의 작업자들을 대상으로 인간공학적 평가를 실시하고, 이를 바탕으로 정량적 평가를 위해 실내 근전도 실험을 하여 어떤 작업에서 어떤 근육에 근골격계질환 가능성이 있는지 평가하는데 있다. 연구방법은 인간공학적 평가도구인 RULA 및 REBA를 이용하여 근골격계질환 위험 작업을 추출하고, 신체건강한 성인 남성 6명을 대상으로 근전도 실험을 하였다. 인간공학적 평가 결과 건조작업이 근골격계질환 위험도가 가장 높았으며, 건조 작업자세, 수세 작업자세, 고물 묻히는 작업자세 중 수세 작업자세가 근활성도가 가장 높았다. 특히, 건조작업에서 하지근육인 대퇴이두근과 비복근이 다른 근육들에 비해 상대적으로 근활성도가 높았다. 따라서 추후에 한과작업장 설계시 허리를 깊게 숙인 채 장시간 작업하는 자세가 없도록 해야 한다.

부슨돌 콘크리트의 기초적 성질에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Fundamental Character of Crushed Stone Concrete)

  • In concrete, the mater over aggregate is ever demanding each year in paralled with rapid development of Construction works from a couple of years ago. Want of most of them which is river gravel among aggregate has made us uneasy to get good gravel in quality. So far, we have counted on gravel, however, the time to turn the use of normal concrete into that of crushed concrete is closing at hand, I think. According to the results of study by Kaplan, Zeitman, Murdock, Hanada, Yamamodo, the shape of aggregate particle have a great effect on workability of concrete, as we know, is well known to the world. Crushed stone, particularly, is inconvenient to handle on account of jagged, angled particle form and rugged surface structure, give rise to inpediments in works, its unit water stands at about $15-20kg/m^3$, and w/c shows the increasing rate of approximately 5-10%, but it is unsuitable to use in terms of regidity. In order to research all of these, I have experimentalized and reviewed the physical character of aggregate and the regidity of concrete, in addition, its relative ratio of the elastic disposition as to gravel and crushed stone.

지속가능한 지역사회개발의 개념과 접근과제 (Issues in the Concepts and Approaches of Sustainable Community Development)

  • Although the philosophy of sustainable community development does not give the cure-all solutions for the major problems faced in the communities, it is theoretically and practically recognized as a newly emerging paradigm toward community development theoretically and practically. However, more specific tasks and issues of sustainable community development remain unchallenged and descriptive statements. The main objective of this study was to find out the extensive community development practices through the review of current works in the area of sustainable community development indicator, local agenda 21 and the relative issues. The recommendations of this study were the following; 1) The sustainable community development indicators available in the community level should be selected. Also, how to integrate the objective condition and subjective perception in community development practices, and how to weigh the indicator item should be solved in order to compare and measure the implementation of community development works. 2) In relation to local agenda 21, how to secure the implementation mechanism is more important than the developing the local agenda 21. 3) The policies aimed to raise the resident's awareness, formation of community field, create community social capitals, and define strategies to the selective community development programs should be considered to make the philosophy of sustainable community development active in the field level.

멜론 재배작업용 하이브리드 매니플레이터 개발 (Development of Hybrid Manipulator for Melon Harvesting Works)

  • Various robots were developed for harvesting fruits and vegetables. However, each robot was designed for a specific task such as harvesting apples or vegetables. This has been a big hurdle in application of robots to agriculture. A new type of hybrid manipulator with both parallel and serial joints was developed and designed to apply to various kinds of field operations. The hybrid manipulator had 2 extra degree of freedom in serial joints which made it flexible in switching one to the other type of hybrid manipulator, for example, PUMA to SCARA. And it was designed to harvest heavy fruits such as musky melons or water melons even behind leaves or branches of tree. This hybrid manipulator showed less than $\pm1mm$ position error. It was concluded that the hybrid manipulator was an effective and feasible tool to perform various works and to increase working performance.

재현기간별 확률 향우강도식 산정에 관한 수문통계학적 고찰-청주 지방을 중심으로- (A Review for Caluculation of the Formula for Probable Rainfall Intensities Following Return Periods in the Hydrological Statistics. -On Cheong-Ju district-)

  • The author attempted to find most suitable formulas for probable rainfall intensities with analysis and consideration for characteristics of rainfall intensities according to the short and long period return periods at Cheong-Joo district. Above mentioned formulas induced by this study can be contributed to the credibility of runoff estimation for urban sewerage system, drainage works in small catchment area and embankment works in the rivers. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1 Calculation values by Gumbel-Chow method were selected as a mean values for the calculation of probable rainfall intensities according to return periods in the short period. 2. Calculations for probable rainfall intensities for long period are based upon to the result by Iwai's method. Talbot type, {{{{I= {a} over {t+b} }}}} is confirmed as a most suitable formula for probable rainfall intensities among calculation methods in the short periods at Cheong-Joo district. 4. Specific coefficient method, I24=RN24${\beta}$N was selected as a means of calculation for suitable formulas of probable rainfall intensities according to return periods in case of long period. 5. Runoff estimation with high credibility by rational formula can be anticipated by establishment for the most suitable probable rainfall intensities at Cheong-Joo district.

농촌개발사업의 의사결정기구 -간척지 취락계획을 위한 평가체계의 수립- (Decision-Making Process in Rural Reconstruction Project - An Evaluation Technique for Village Planning in Newly Reclaimed Land -)

  • In this study, a tentative decision-making matrix for village planning in reclaimed land was proposed. The evaluating conditions in the matrix are reclaimed farming acreage and distance. And the indexes for evaluation works are farming acreage required for increasing present farm size to target size in the base of, allowable commuting distance for farming from and effective controlling distance of each village. The village planning strategies are considered into four categories ; upkeep of present village scale, transfer of its superfluous farming acreage to a neighbouring village, enlargement of present village scale and new village construction in reclaimed land. As a case study, the proposed decision-making matrix was applied to 69 villages, which are contiguous to the potential farming area from reclamation works of Yongsan River Basin Comprehensive Development Project Phase Ill and so considered in this study as future farming villages there. From the application results, the following tactics for village planning may be proposed ; principally, upkeep or enlargement of present village scale, but, in an exceptional few cases of standard farming size being 3~5ha, new village construction of normal or satellite scale.

축사 환기팬 후류의 풍에너지 평가 및 기류 형상의 전산유체역학 모델링 (Evaluation and CFD Modelling of Flow behind Livestock Ventilation Fan for Small-Scale Wind Power Generation)

  • The objectives of this paper were to evaluate the wind flow behind the livestock ventilation fan for small-scale wind power generation and to make flow profiles of imaginary ventilation fan for future simulation works. The field experiments using typical 50-inch fan indicated that the wind flow behind the ventilation fan had a good possibility of power generation with its high and steady wind speeds up to a distance of 2 m. The expected electricity yield was almost 101~369 W with a small (0.8 m radius) wind turbine. The decline of ventilation fan performance caused by the obstacle was also not significant with about 4 % from a distance of 2 m. The flow profiles for the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation was created by combining the direction vectors analyzed from tuft visualization test and the flow predicted by the rotating fan modeling. The flow profiles are expected to provide an efficient saving of computational time and cost to design a better wind turbine system in future works.

  • Assessment of nitrogen and chlorophyll content from crop leaves can help growers adjust N fertilizer rates to meet the demands of the crop. Numerous researchers have presented their studies about spectral signature of plant leaves to characterize the plant features. However, interrelational review and summary were limited and a communication gap exists between the plant science and optical engineering. Understanding the mechanism of leaf interaction to electromagnetic radiation and factors affecting spectrophotometric measurements can enhance the foundation of optical remote sensing technologies. This paper provides extensive review of previous works in optical sensing and explains the basics of plant optics, spectral measurements for plant stress, factors that affect sensitivity to spectral analysis, and applications that deploy optical remote sensing technologies.

Bacillus vallismortis EXTN-1-Mediated Growth Promotion and Disease Suppression in Rice

  • Bacillus vallismortis EXTN-1, a biocontrol agent in cucumber, tomato and potato was tested in rice pathosystem against rice fungal pathogens viz. Magnaporthe grisea, Rhizoctonia solani and Cochliobolus miyabeanus. Apart from increasing the yield in the bacterized plants (11.6-12.6% over control), the study showed that EXTN1 is effective in bringing about disease suppression against all the tested fungal pathogens. EXTN-l treatment resulted in 52.11% reduction in rice blast, 83.02% reduction in sheath blight and 11.54% decrease in brown spot symptoms. As the strain is proven as an inducer for systemic resistance based on PR gene expression in Arabidopsis and tobacco models, it is supposed that a similar mechanism works in rice, bringing about disease suppression. The strain could be used as a potent biocontrol and growth-promoting agent in rice cropping system.
