Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of health promotion program on healthy aging preparation for late middle aged women. Methods: The research design was a non-equivalent control group quasi-experimental study. Participants were recruited from K and Y cities in Gyeong-nam Province from October, 2013 to January, 2014. They were 26 for the experimental group and 31 for the control group. The experimental group participated in a health promotion program for healthy aging preparation. The program consisted of education, exercise, and small group discussion over 8 weeks. Data were analyzed by Chi-square, t-test and ANCOVA, using the PASW 18.0 program. Results: There were significant improvements in aging anxiety and general self-efficacy, health promoting behaviors in the experimental group compared to those of the control group. However, there was no significant differences in attitude toward older adults between the two groups. The subjects were 256 middle-aged women in Korea. Data were collected from March 8 to April 11, 2019, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 18.0. This study found that the aging anxiety of the subjects differed significantly according to job and marriage satisfaction. Aging anxiety had a negative correlation with health perceived health (r=-.300, p<.001), resilience (r=-.537, p<.001), satisfaction of married life (r=-.316, p<.001), and self-esteem (r=-.424, p<.000). The factors affecting aging anxiety were as follows: resilience (β=-.47, p<.001), occupation (β=-.19, p=.003), and self-esteem (β=-.19, p=.014) with 36.9% explanatory power (F=14.34, p<.001). This study aims to understand public perceptions of aging Korean society and related factors in the context of population aging and generational difference. Data are from 1,498 individuals older than 20 who were recruited through the quota sampling technique. Results indicated that the respondents reported less then three as the number of positive aspects of aging Korean society. Among the factors related to population aging, such as knowledge about aging, perceptions about family care, anxiety about later life, and perspectives about generational conflict, anxiety about later life was shown to be negatively associated with perception of aging Korean society across age groups. Respondents 65 and older showed more positive perception about aging Korean society and this association was conditioned by perspectives about generational conflict. Perspectives about generational conflict revealed positive associations with perception of aging Korean society among respondents aged 20-44 and 45-64, while no association was found among those 65 and older. Discussions focused on ways to alter perceptions of aging Korean society and needs for future research on this topic.

The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS Window 25.0 program. As a result of the study, the influence factors on the depression were confirmed by the somatic symptoms(β=0.42, p<.001), aging anxiety(β=0.35, p<.001) and total explanatory power of the variables was found to be 48.0%. Therefore, based on the result of this study, it suggests that more research is needed a program that considers somatic symptoms and aging anxiety when developing interventions to reduce depression and to verify the effectiveness.
