  • In this paper, we suggest the Agent System for management and service of science and technology information that performs the collection, analyzing, processing and managing the information. Generally, any system can process the collection and service the information as usual method, but that mean can't be clear because of the data process method on different systems of hardware and software. So, it's very important point that the design and development of S&T information flow framework that can accept the various data, and we expect that the agent system adapted in framework guarantee the reduction of man power and process time and the enlarged system. Agent System consists of five multi agents, Resource Format Register Agent, Data Collector Agent, Data Analyzer Agent, Data Processor Agent and MetaDB Creator Agent. We describe the main roles and elements of agent systems.

  • Conversational agent is a system that provides users with proper information and maintains the context of dialogue on the natural language. Analyzing and modeling process of user's query is essential to make it more realistic, for which Bayesian network is a promising technique. When experts design the network for a domain, the network is usually very complicated and is hard to be understood. The separation of variables in the domain reduces the size of networks and makes it easy to design the conversational agent. Composing Bayesian network as two stages, we aim to design conversational agent easily and analyze user's query in detail. Also, previous information of dialogue makes it possible to maintain the context of conversation. Actually implementing it for a guide of web pages, we can confirm the usefulness of the proposed architecture for conversational agent.

  • The Presence Agent Server receives user's presence information via PUBLISH request message and let subscribers to know that information. IMPP client has a functions for PUA(presence user agent) as a base operational entity. In some circumstance, the client has both pua and pa logical entities. However presence agent server has take part only of PA. In this paper, we describes the design and implementation that contains modules based configurations and approaches for presence agent server. Also, we describe how we handle each events and database API instruction set.

Design of a Coordinating Mechanism for Multi-Level Scheduling Systems in Supply Chain

  • The scheduling problem of large products like ships, airplanes, space shuttles, assembled constructions, and automobiles is very complex in nature. To reduce inherent computational complexity, we often design scheduling systems that the original problem is decomposed into small sub-problems, which are scheduled independently and integrated into the original one. Moreover, the steep growth of communication technology and logistics makes it possible to produce a lot of multi-nation corporation by which products are produced across more than one plant. Therefore vertical and lateral coordination among decomposed scheduling systems is necessary. In this research, we suggest an agent-based coordinating mechanism for multi-level scheduling systems in supply chain. For design of a general coordination mechanism, at first, we propose a grammar to define individual scheduling agents which are responsible to their own plants, and a meta-level coordination agent which is engaged to supervise individual scheduling agents. Second, we suggest scheduling agent communication protocols for each scheduling agent topology which is classified according to the system architecture, existence of coordinator, and direction of coordination. We also suggest a scheduling agent communication language which consists of three layers : Agent Communication Layer, Scheduling Coordination Layer, Industry-specific Layer. Finally, in order to improve the efficiency of communication among scheduling agents we suggest a rough capacity coordination model which supports to monitor participating agents and analyze the status of them. With this coordination mechanism, we can easily model coordination processes of multiple scheduling systems. In the future, we will apply this mechanism to shipbuilding domain and develop a prototype system which consists of a dock-scheduling agent, four assembly-plant-scheduling agents, and a meta-level coordination agent. A series of experiment using the real-world data will be performed to examine this mechanism.

  • A multi-agent technology has emerged as a new paradigm that can flexibly and promptly cope with various environmental changes and complex problems. Accordingly, many researches are being made to establish multi-agent systems in an effort to solve dynamic problems in many fields. However, most previous researches on the multi-agent frameworks aimed at, on behalf of a user, exchanging and sharing information between agents, reusing agents, and suggesting job cooperation in order to integrate and assimilate heterogeneous agents. That is to say, their frameworks mainly focused on the basic functions of general multi-agent. Therefore, they are not suitable to the development of the proper system for a specific field such ,.s a negotiation. In an effort to solve this problem, this research has tried to design a multi-agent framework-base negotiation system, so that for the sake of a user it can evaluate the negotiation messages, manage the negotiation messages, and quickly and exactly exchange messages between negotiation agents. First of all, we have made research on the basic functions hat are necessary in the development of a negotiation system, and then have analyzed the limitations of existing multi-agent frameworks when trying to apply them to a negotiation system. After these efforts, this study suggests a design of multi-agent framework to develop a negotiation system.

  • 인터넷 우편 시스템은 인터넷에서 고객이 작성한 우편을 메일 뿐만 아니라 이를 직접 인쇄하여 다수의 수신자에게 보통우편으로 제작하여 직접 배달하는 우편서비스로 인쇄부터 봉함가지 자동으로 처리하는 시스템이다. 따라서 직접적인 우편을 전달함으로서 기존의 디지털 문명의 의한 각박해진 현 사회에 보다 인간미가 넘치는 매개체로서의 역할과 획기적인 시간 단축과 비용절감의 효과를 누리고자 한다. 현 인터넷 우편 시스템은 크게 3가지로 Front Agent End Agent, Management Agent 나뉘어 지는데 본 논문에서는 Front Agent를 중심으로 서술하였다.

  • In the course of Internet proliferation. many network-related technologies are examined for possible growth and evolution. The use of Internet-based technologies in private networks has further fuelled the demand for network-based applications. The most Promising among the new paradigms is use of mobile agents. It also however, suffers from a major drawback, namely the potential for malicious attacks, abuse of resources pilfering of information, and other security issues. These issues are significantly hampering the acceptance of the mobile-agent paradigm. This paper proposed the design of strong and safe mobile agent gateway that split and merge the agent code with security policy database. This mechanism will promote the security in mobile agent systems and mobile agent itself.

  • AI products are used 'AI assistants' as embedded in smart phones, speakers, appliances as agents. Studies on anthropomorphism, such as personality, voice with a weak AI are being conducted. Role and function of AI agents will expand from development of AI technology. Various attributes related to the agent, such as user type, usage environment, appearance of the agent will need to be considered. This study intends to categorize interaction factors related to agents from the user's perspective through analysis of concept videos which agents with strong AI. Framework for analysis was built on the basis of theoretical considerations for agents. Concept videos were collected from YouTube. They are analyzed according to perspectives on environment, user, agent. It was categorized into 8 attributes: viewpoint, space, shape, agent behavior, interlocking device, agent interface, usage status, and user interface. It can be used as reference when developing, predicting agents to be commercialized in the future.

  • As the next significant software abstraction, software agents have generated lots of excitements in recent years because of its promise as a new paradigm for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing software systems. This promise is particularly attractive for creating software that operates in environments that are distributed, open, and complex, such as the Internet. The effort of developing agent systems have, however, suffered from lack of generalized agent architecture because of various properties of an agent and nonexistence of a standard agent architecture. An agent architecture is an important criterion in order to not only identify agents in their domain but also determine the software architecture of the system. The major contribution of the work described here is an object-oriented design of an agent architecture that addresses fundamental properties, which are autonomy and interaction. Object-oriented design method is used for identifying the internal modules of an agent architecture and organizing correlation between the modules are identified.

  • Big-bang growth of Internet and World Wide Web is supplying much information and resources to network. However, use of internet resources is receiving many limitations by bandwidth for most users. But, through Applet way, can solve degradation problem that follow on static side and bandwidth of CGI that HTML has. Mobile Agent starts in user's computer to accomplish user's specification purpose and achieves work rooving network. Because code that can perform so is transmitted, and is achieved in network through network, important problem happens to mobile code's security naturally. In computing environment that this research uses this Mobile Agent way that can protect host and agent groping report, describe problem that happen composing Mobile Agent relationship concept and Mobile Agent, and do so that may present method that is studying to solve these problem, and use method that application is possible actually among presented method and design transfer agent's security system.
