  • 최근 투명 산화물 전극 (TCO)은 LED, electronic display, solar cell, touch screen panel (TSP) 등 다양한 분야에 많이 사용되고 있다. TCO는 높은 광 투과도와 전도성으로 인해 여러 분야에 많이 사용되고 있으며, 특히 ITO (Sn-doped indium oxide)가 display 분야에 많이 적용되고 있다. 하지만, ITO는 투과도와 면저항의 반비례 관계를 가지므로 더 낮은 면저항이 요구되는 대면적 TSP 분야에 적용되기에는 많은 개선이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 metal mesh film의 연구를 통해 TSP 분야에 사용되는 ITO를 대체하고자 한다. 제작된 mesh film은 모두 면저항은 $15{\Omega}/{\square}$ 이하, 광 투과도 90% (@550nm) 이상을 나타내었다.

  • Laser-induced plasmonic sintering of metal nanoparticles (NPs) is a promising technology to fabricate flexible conducting electrodes, since it provides instantaneous, simple, and scalable manufacturing strategies without requiring costly facilities and complex processes. However, the metal NPs are quite expensive because complicated synthesis procedures are needed to achieve long-term reliability with regard to chemical deterioration and NP aggregation. Herein, we report laser-induced Ag NP self-generation and sequential sintering process based on low-cost Ag organometallic material for demonstrating high-quality microelectrodes. Upon the irradiation of laser with 532 nm wavelength, pre-baked Ag organometallic film coated on a transparent polyimide substrate was transformed into a high-performance Ag conductor (resistivity of 2.2 × 10-4 Ω·cm). To verify the practical usefulness of the technology, we successfully demonstrated a wearable transparent heater by using Ag-mesh transparent electrodes, which exhibited a high transmittance of 80% and low sheet resistance of 7 Ω/square.

Ag 집전체를 적용한 평판형 SOFC 단전지 (Single Cell Stacked Planar Type SOFC Assembled Using a Ag-Current Collector)

  • Current collectors of SOFC play a significant role on the performance of power generation. In this study a single cell stacked SOFC was assembled using Ag-mesh as a cathode current collector, and evaluated its performance. No gas leakages of the single cell stack occurred in the tests of gas detection and OCV measurement. The OCV and initial power of the stack were 1.09V and $0.45W/cm^2$, respectively, under the flow rates of air at 2,500 cc/min and $H_2$ at 1,000 cc/min at the test temperature of $750^{\circ}C$. A degradation rate of 44.0% was measured during the prolonged time of 307 h. The relatively low durability of the tested single cell stack was found to be the evaporation of Ag-mesh at the current corrector.

Cu/Ag 복합판재의 전기/기계적 성질 및 프레스 성형성에 관한 연구 (A study on electrical and mechanical properties and press formability of a Cu/Ag composite sheet)

  • In this study, a novel Cu composite sheet with embedded high electric conduction path was developed as another alternative for the interconnect materials possessing high electrical conductivity as well as high strength. The Cu composite sheet was fabricated by forming Ag conduction paths not within the interior but on the surface of a high strength Cu substrate by damascene electroplating process. As a result, the electrical conductivity increased by 40% thanks to mesh type Ag conduction paths, while the ultimate tensile strength decreased by 20%. The interfacial fracture resistance of Cu composite sheet prepared by damascene electroplating increased by above 50 times compared to Cu composite sheet by conventional electroplating. For feasibility test for practical application, a leadframe for LED module was manufactured by a progressive blanking and piercing processes, and the blanked surface profile was evaluated as a function of the volume fraction of Ag conduction paths. As Ag conduction path became finer, pressing formability improved.

LSM이 코팅된 고체산화물 연료전지용 Crofer Mesh 집전체 개발 (Development of LSM-Coated Crofer Mesh for Current Collectors in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells)

  • 본 연구에서는 고체산화물 연료전지의 공기극 집전체로 사용되고 있는 고가의 Ag 소재를 대체하고자 전도성 세라믹이 코팅된 mesh 형태의 Crofer 22 APU 집전체를 개발하였다. 고전자전도성의 $(La_{0.80}Sr_{0.20})_{0.98}MnO_3$ (LSM)을 습식 스프레이법으로 코팅하여 고온 산화 및 전기적 특성의 열화를 억제하고자 하였다. $800^{\circ}C$의 산화 실험 결과에 의하면 LSM이 코팅된 Crofer mesh의 면저항(area-specific resistance)은 mesh의 제작에 사용된 와이어 지름과 접촉 부위의 형상등 실제 접촉점의 수 및 면적을 좌우하는 mesh의 특성에 의해 좌우되었다. 또한 LSM 코팅 후 $H_2/N_2$ 분위기에서의 열처리를 통해 Crofer mesh와 LSM 코팅층 계면에서의 Cr 함유 산화물의 형성을 효과적으로 억제하여 전기적 특성의 열화를 억제할 수 있다.

실버 나노분말을 이용한 메탈메쉬용 페이스트의 충전 및 와이핑 특성 (Filling and Wiping Properties of Silver Nano Paste in Trench Layer of Metal Mesh Type Transparent Conducting Electrode Films for Touch Screen Panel Application)

  • A metal mesh TCE film is fabricated using a series of processes such as UV imprinting of a transparent trench pattern (with a width of $2-5{\mu}m$) onto a PET film, filling it with silver paste, wiping of the surface, and heat-curing the silver paste. In this work nanosized (40-50 nm) silver particles are synthesized and mixed with submicron (250-300 nm)-sized silver particles to prepare silver paste for the fabrication of metal mesh-type TCE films. The filling of these silver pastes into the patterned trench layer is examined using a specially designed filling machine and the rheological testing of the silver pastes. The wiping of the trench layer surface to remove any residual silver paste or particles is tested with various mixture solvents, and ethyl cellosolve acetate (ECA):DI water = 90:10 wt% is found to give the best result. The silver paste with 40-50 nm Ag:250-300 nm Ag in a 10:90 wt% mixture gives the highest electrical conductance. The metal mesh TCE film obtained with this silver paste in an optimized process exhibits a light transmittance of 90.4% and haze at 1.2%, which is suitable for TSP application.

유비쿼터스 헬스 케어 적용을 위한 의자 부착형 무선 심전도 측정 시스템 구현 (Implementation of Wireless ECG Measurement System Attaching in Chair for Ubiquitous Health Care Environment)

  • In this study, ubiquitous health care system attaching in chair to monitor ECG for health care was developed at the unconsciousness state. The system conveniently and simple measured ECG at non-consciousness. We measured the contact impedance to skin-electrode of metal mesh electrodes of the system. Contact impedance enable the electrode to use for ECG measurement. The results are that the impedance of the metal mesh electrodes according to sizes is low when the size is 4$cm^2$. As the result, when the size of the metal mesh electrode is 4$cm^2$, the electrode is fit for ECG measurement. We can acquired by positing the arm on the metal mesh electrode. The ECG signal was detected using a high-input-impedance bio-amplifier, and then passed filter circuitry. The measured signal transmitted to a PC through the bluetooth wireless communication and monitored. Data of the non-constrained ECG system attaching in chair is noise-data when comparing metal mesh electrode with the Ag/Agcl electrode but the data is significant to monitor ECG for check the body state.

열형-롤 각인으로 형성한 Ag 격자 패턴과 전도성 고분자 코팅을 이용한 투명전극 필름 제작에 관한 연구 (Study and Fabrication of Transparent Electrode Film by using Thermal-Roll Imprinted Ag Mesh Pattern and Coated Conductive Polymer)

  • In this study, to fabricate a low-resistance and high optical transparency electrode film, the following steps were performed: the design and manufacture of electroforming stamp, the fabrication of a thermal roll-imprinted polycarbonate (PC) patterned films, the filled low-resistance Ag paste using doctor blade process on patterned PC films and spin coating by conductive polymers. As a result of PC films imprinted line width of $26.69{\pm}2\;{\mu}m$, channel length of $247.57{\pm}2\;{\mu}m$, and pattern depth of $7.54{\pm}0.2\;{\mu}m$. Ag paste to fill part of the patterned film with conductive polymer coating and then the following parameters were obtained: a sheet resistance of $11.1\;{\Omega}/sq$ optical transparency values at a wavelength of 550 nm was 80.31 %.

CIGS 박막태양전지를 위한 반사방지특성을 가진 용액공정 투명전극 (Solution-Processed Anti Reflective Transparent Conducting Electrode for Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Thin Film Solar Cells)

  • Silver nanowire (AgNW) networks have been adopted as a front electrode in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) thin film solar cells due to their low cost and compatibility with the solution process. When an AgNW network is applied to a CIGS thin film solar cell, reflection loss can increase because the CdS layer, with a relatively high refractive index (n ~ 2.5 at 550 nm), is exposed to air. To resolve the issue, we apply solution-processed ZnO nanorods to the AgNW network as an anti-reflective coating. To obtain high performance of the optical and electrical properties of the ZnO nanorod and AgNW network composite, we optimize the process parameters - the spin coating of AgNWs and the concentration of zinc nitrate and hexamethylene tetramine (HMT - to fabricate ZnO nanorods. We verify that 10 mM of zinc nitrate and HMT show the lowest reflectance and 10% cell efficiency increase when applied to CIGS thin film solar cells.

a-Si 박막형 태양전지의 잔류응력 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Residual Stress Analysis of a-Si Thin Film Solar Cell)

  • The size and distribution of residual stresses and the effect of the minimum mesh size were investigated by the a-Si thin film solar cell. Attributed to the difference in coefficient of thermal expansion of the a-Si and Ag concentrated residual stresses at the joint interface of dissimilar materials. The ${\sigma}y$ and ${\tau}xy$ didn't appear in the central part, but ${\sigma}x$ existed. However, ${\sigma}x$, ${\sigma}y$ and ${\tau}xy$ appeared in the edge part and concentrated residual stresses at the interface between a-Si and Ag. Minimum mesh size gets smaller, the concentration of ${\sigma}y$ was significantly and existence area was reduced. As a result, the failure of thin film solar cells during the cutting process can be explained by the residual stresses.
