Mathematics is considered to the beginning of designing thinking because of the sense of logical order system. In this study, it was regarded the mathematics as the logic and the measurement of design system. as is often the case in history, mathematics, it is regard as conceptual model of architectural though, as aesthetic proportional measure and the mirror of thought. The direction of this study is rather multi-sided approaching to the spatial concept than one-sided plane. It is multi-acceptable way to apply mathematical principle to the pace and to be a flexible one. And boundary of interpretation of the flexibility means potential use-ability, and the strictly meaning of flexibility means that the acception of the various Secession and the Change of space. And the various interpretation of the flexibility only can expressed in the relation of opposite concept: the assembly and the disassembly, the expand and the decease, the open and the close and the construct and the de-construct. Mathematics provide the resonable way in architectural thinking and endow the order as logical organizatiov. Regarding these facts, this research is for making it possible to consider the expression property of interior space combination as the way of understanding the accepting of the changes of the times with the mathematical induction, using the rational method like the mathematical arrangement organizatiov.
This research is implemented to shed new light on the essence of Korean sentiments, aesthetic sense and restructure it in modern ways. In particular, applying the current images of traditional Korean village in Jeonju to neckties is focused on the purpose of globalizing the industrialization of Korean traditional sceneries and Korean image products. Adobe Photoshop CS program was used to develop necktie designs containing the images of the traditional Korean village. To make artworks, the Digital Textile Printing System that is an environment-friendly printing method was used. Moreover, Hanji yarn fabric was adopted for them so as to use Korean materials. The total number of developed designs is eight and neckties for men were made by altering images of the traditional Korean village in modern ways. According to the research results, required are more investment and self-development for proper understandings on our traditional cultural images and their development from now on. Moreover, in my view, customers' desires must be met by comprehending public consciousness, trends and environments to meet customer's desires. Furthermore, higher value-added products must be created by using Hanji yarn and images of traditional Korean villages by distributing high quality designs that will satisfy customers' desires and psychology, producing small quantities of products with various designs and colors.
This paper presents computer graphics applying the traditional Korean house(Hanok) style interior to unit-care space of Welfare Facility and proposes the possibility as interior design and construction materials. In this paper, the proposed computer graphic-based model is a single-story building that provides convenient traffic between rooms. Computer graphic-based model is presented by Auto CAD, 3D program (Sketch-UP v.8), rendering program (Podium v.2) based on the traditional Korean house and related work of unit-care welfare facility. Computer graphic-based model that combined unit-care and the traditional Korean house has the following characteristics. In each room of living space, wallpaper and flooring Korean paper(Hnaji) is considered and windows, door, furniture of traditional pattern were placed. The living room(Daechung) that is representative of the traditional Korean house and the corridor (toenmaru) are the elements to save the image of the traditional Korean house as much as possible. Especially, the corridor (toenmaru) is placed to conveniently use in nursing-care facility and home-care support facility. A public space is placed around the inside court (An-madang), while the living space (unit-care) has a sense of independence by separation. Bathroom and kitchen have a modern design for functionality than aesthetic elements.
The researcher has tried to develop the aesthetic value of the art and the function of metalwork in conjunction with our daily life. especially has been eager to develop the new possibility of metal urns through the investigation of ordinary metalwork. Funeral urns are vessels to fill the ashes of bodies. As the social issues, including problems of restricted land territory and environmental pollution are awakening, many people are much concerned about the use of urns in recent days. Although social concerns about cremation and urns are getting high, most urns in Korea have been made of ceramic and stone. The shape of old urns are pot style with lids, and their color is simple white or jade green. Moreover, old urns are expensive, unpractical, simple, and furthermore, the feature of urns has not preserved the sense of beauty. In this context, we have narrow choices to select urns, and it has been difficult for us to be familiar with the old-style urns. Therefore, the need for developing metal urns are necessary as the increase of public concerns towards cremation is widely spreading. As it is well known, metal is not only regarded as hard, antibacterial, pro-environmental material , but also regarded as good substance for urns. Metal is also suitable for making urns because of metal's characteristics of easy processing, mass production, and cheap price. The researcher has been tried to find the possibility of art of metalwork through the dissemination of metal urns to the public. The researcher has also attempted to represent the characteristics and symbolic implications of contemporary metal urns for ordinary people to adopt metal urns as their 'Rite Haven'.
As the traditional style is treated as one of the important themes in fashion recently, how to apply the formative character in Korean and Japanese traditional dress to modern fashion is searched through actual analysis of photograph material, Both design formative elements were confirmed by clothing and fashion department majors through visual data so that 20 pieces of them were selected as final analysis object. Korean traditional dress form in modern fashion emphasizes curvaceousness as plane division. On the other hand, that of Japanese shows straight line, layered, belt, big look through up & down connection style. Color in Korean traditional dress prefers white and original color and modern fashion displays the natural beauty through harmony of similar colors ; that of Japanese based on natural color such as persimmon color cherishes natural beauty and implicit moderation showing harmony of various original color with brilliance and neutral color. While texture in Korean traditional dress was fine and exquisite, that of Japanese preferred coarse and tactile ones. In motif, Korea was natural and geometric but Japanese variously used complex and geometric ones. Likewise, the result suggests that the formative character in Korean and Japanese modern fashion affects the modern dress format as new aesthetic sense and takes on more complicated and subtle aspect in basic form, not just use so far.
This study is an attempt to establish an aesthetic and fashion sense of the heroine's image and fashion according to the social environment which is related to fashion transformation. Also, this study modem society's need for specific social occupational roles through fashion and clothing in cinema. first, individual people are estimating their social position and ability by his/her fashion style. Modem fashion styles are changing into various, complicated, gorgeous and attractive styles; however, the needs of professional women's clothing styles are fairly conservative. Second, classical, closed, and unobtrusive fashion styles are appearing in modem cinema's clothing depending on professional women's expertise in fashion styles. Third, changes of styles are varied by their colors and clothing design. Colors had not changed very much during the last 30 years; however, in the 1980's, white and grey colors, in the 1990's black and achromatic colors, and in the beginning of this century dark green and brown and also diverse colors have been used. But the brightness is so light and expressed by a quiet and cold style. Furthermore, the inner images are judged by their forms which is determined by how people choose their clothing styles. Consequently, women's clothing styles easily appear as a result of their preconceived ideas formed by their professional knowledge and ability.
The orchid has a very elegant color and various forms in the nature or the ground for human life and the mother of life, The purpose of this study is to express some creative formative art by using the orchid as motive, and thereby, suggest the possibility of an artistic modern costume design by reviewing the texture of the materials. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, it was confirmed through this study that the orchid with diverse forms and colors can be used as design motive in almost infinitely diverse ways, and that all the artificial forms or structures contain the elements of natural beauty. Second, the luxurious and rich sense of orchid‘s color can be maximized by using the complementary contrast effect of the dyeing technique and the color gradation effect through harmony among similar colors. Third, a high value-added costume can be created to meet modern men’s aesthetic desire by using such embroidery techniques as crochet, weaving, dyeing, beads embroidery and art flower. Fourth, different effects of texture can be rendered by using different materials of various textures and characteristics. In addition, the possibility of creative expression for costume as formative art can be enhanced by expanding the expressions of the materials.
Korean traditional wedding ceremony was conducted with some regular procedure and there were used special Gyubang crafts for wedding ceremony. Nowadays there is common the western style wedding ceremony and then the use of wedding Gyubang crafts have being decreased. Purposes of this study are to investigate characteristics of and to propose some idea of preservation and application them in the life of today. The results are as follows; Wedding Gyubang crafts can be classified Bojagj(wrapping clothes), Jumeony(cloth bags), ornaments, items related to sewing and others. They were apt to be traditionality, symbolism and shamanism, and were superior in aesthetic sense, the effect of decoration and technical skill. So there was needed preservation them. Some way of preservation and applications them were suggested ; alternation in keeping with modern needs, use of ornament, alteration in present-day life, application their image to Korean cultural products, textile design and so on. Several works were developed by ways suggested and exhibited in order to arouse new understanding Wedding Gyubang Crafts to public.
The purposes of this study are to examine the relation between twenties women consumer's fashion-color reception and clothing purchase behaviors, and to propose the most effective plans of color-marketing. A questionnaire survey examined 384 persons' opinions in total. First, consumers are classified into 3 groups. according to their preferring colors and the degrees of their concerning : 'type of leading fashion-color', 'type of following fashion-color', and 'type of being indifferent to fashion-color'. Second, this study analyzed the factors of consumers' clothes-purchasing motives. : all consumer groups showed their purchasing motives in the order of 'aesthetic sense'-pursuit factor. 'sensitivity'-pursuit factor, and 'actual profit and sociality'-pursuit factor. Third, the types of consumers' purchasing clothes were divided into 2 groups: type of planned buying. And type of unplanned buying. And the relations between the above 2 groups and purchasing motives were investigated, as a result. it was proved that the consumers who have the purchasing motives of 'sensitivity'-pursuit and 'actual profit and sociality'-pursuit conducted 'planned buying'. Fourth. the relations between motive of clothing purchase and the type of purchase behavior were examined by consumer group : in the consumer group of leading fashion-color, the more did they have the purchasing motives of 'sensitivity'-pursuit or 'actual profit and sociality'-pursuit, the more did they conduct' planned buying'. In the fashion-color following group, the more did they have the purchasing motives of 'sensitivity'-pursuit or 'actual profit and sociality'-pursuit, the more did they conduct 'unplanned buying'.
The purpose of this research is to examine the relation between the cyber environment and the contemporary fashion design by studying the formative feature characteristics of cyber character's fashion in the on-line game from the point of the contemporary fashion design. The research method is to understand the general concept of the cyber-space and characters and then is to contemplate characteristics and formative features of game character's fashion of the cyber-space mainly with cyber characters that were closely linked with features of the contemporary fashion design. As a result, the formative feature of game character's fashion of the cyber-space was to be classified into four categories; reactionism, mechanism, futurism, sensualism. First, reactionism takes traditional elements with symbolical and compromising form. Second, mechanism has a tendency of deconstruction due to its vitality and sense of velocity for objects through employing geometrical forms and new materials. Third, futurism deviates from the established framework. It makes use of high-tech materials and has surrealistic and futuristic features. Fourth, sensualism does emphasize sensual parts of the body and intends to convey aesthetic atmosphere through association of ideas.
