  • 한국춤의 표상을 색채라는 의미에서 조명한다. 한국춤의 고유한 색과 빛은 한국예술의 정수이자 한국인의 의식을 투영한다. 그러므로 한국예술, 색과 의미를 분석한다는 것은 한국의 색을 재조명할 수 있는 미학적 해석의 원리를 제공할 수 있다. 이는 한국예술의 근원을 묻고 인문학적 기반으로서 독창적 콘텐츠의 개발 가능성에 주목해야 함을 뜻한다. 색과 삶, 그것이 문화가 되는 한국적 사상과 철학은 한국 예술의 또 다른 재창조적 시야를 위한 뿌리로 남는다. 따라서 한국춤을 인식하는 여러 가지 미적 태도는 다양한 해석의 확대와 함께 예술로서 한국적 정체성의 체계를 확립하는 것이 필요한 때이다.

  • 이성중심의 서향철학사 속에서 '감각'은 '이성'의 하위개념으로 폄하되어왔다. 그러나 21세기 현대의 시각 환경은 '이성' 중심의 인식론을 밀어내고, 그 자리에 '감성' '감각'으로 재구성되고 있다. 특히 대중영상물들은 이러한 변화를 가장 빠르게 반영하고 또 선도하는 분야라 할 수 있다. 그러나 불행하게도 대중영상물들에서 '감각'에 대한 예술적, 미학적 의미를 고민한 흔적을 찾아내기는 쉽지 않다. 이는 오랜 역사를 거쳐 '감각'을 '이성'의 하위개념으로 인식하여 '감각'은 표피적인 것, 진짜가 아닌 것으로만 치부되어 온 탓 때문일 것이다. 때문에 '감각'의 새로운 가치를 부여한 현대 철학가 질 들뢰즈의 감각론을 검토해 보고, 그 개념을 영상화하고 있는 크리스 커닝햄(Chris Cunningham)의 작품세계를 분석하는 것은 유의미한 일이다. 그가 제작한 에이펙스 트윈(Aphex Twin)의 뮤직비디오 3편을 분석한 결과 질 들뢰즈가 <감각의 논리>에서 제시하는 '기관 없는 신체' '히스테리' '디아그람'을 기반하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 크리스 커닝햄을 포함해 최근에 발표된 '감각'을 주제로 한 영상작품들을 제작방법이나, 화면구성 등 표피적인 방법으로 분석하는 것은 작가의 예술 철학을 간과하는 오류를 범하게 된다. 새롭게 전개되고 있는 현대 감각론을 이해하고 그 실체에 대한 탐구와 영상작품들의 분석은 새로운 대안을 제시하는 밑거름이 될 것이다.

대순사상의 미(美) 개념과 미학적 특징 (The Concept of Beauty and Aesthetic Characteristics in Daesoon Thought)

  • 본 연구는 진과 선의 가치가 미의 형태로 드러난다면 대순사상에서 진리는 어떻게 '미적인 것'으로 표출되고 나타나는지를 미학적 관점에서 분석하고자 하였다. 이에 대순진리회의 신앙을 감각과 감정, 아름다움으로 성찰하는 전통 미학 혹은 신학적 미학의 방법으로 접근해보고자 한다. 「전경」을 중심으로 살펴본 대순사상의 미 개념은 신성(神性)과 도리(道理), 일심(一心), 관계(關係)에 숭고와 균제, 절제, 조화미로 나타난다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 미 개념으로 고찰한 대순사상의 미학은 천지공사의 미학과 상생의 미학, 치유의 미학이다. 천지공사에는 하느님이 화신(化身)하여 이 땅에 다녀가셨다는 역사가 담겨있다. 인간 '강증산'이 상제라는 깨달음은 충격적인 미적 모티브이자 대순진리회의 신학적 출발점이라 할 수 있다. 상생은 상호관계의 사회성을 심미적으로 나타내는 용어라고 볼 수 있으며 관계의 조화와 통일에 상생의 미학적 구조가 있다고 본다. 치유에는 인류를 무병의 선경세상으로 이끄는 상제의 신성한 숭고미와 인간을 안심·안신으로 나아가게 하는 절제미가 담겨있다 할 수 있다. 치유의 궁극적 가치인 의통은 인류의 이상을 실현해 주는 수도의 종착점이자, 아름다운 삶, 가치 있는 삶이라는 영적 쾌감을 주는 치유의 미학을 보여주고 있다. 미학의 시선으로 살펴본 대순사상의 미학적 특징은 진멸지경에 놓인 세상에서 창생을 구원하고자 우리 곁에 머물다간 상제의 '거룩한 수고'와 상생의 실천으로 치유를 이끌어 내는 미적 태도를 갖고 있음을 알 수 있다. 우리는 아름다운 여인을 보면 '여신(女神) 같다'고 하거나 '선녀(仙女) 같다'는 말을 한다. 아름다운 음악을 들으면 '천상(天上)의 소리'라 찬사하고 즐거움이 가득할 때는 '신(명)이 난다'고 표현한다. 신(神)은 곧 아름다움의 상징이며 신의 세계는 아름다움의 원형을 의미한다 할 수 있다. 아름다움에 대한 경험은 우리의 영혼을 신에게로 안내한다. 대순사상의 미적 체험은 감정적, 지적, 영적 환희의 절정을 이루는 종교체험으로 그 무엇과도 비교할 수 없는 아름다움을 인식하는 심미적 체험이라 할 수 있다.

  • This study discusses the beauty of the ideal body shown by fashion communication media, and explains how aesthetic aspects of, the body are being expressed in contemporary fashion. The beauty of the body may be considered as the beauty of sexual, controllable or consumable object. First. the most vigorously discussed point about the body is its sexual aspect, the most outstanding of which is the voluptuous and the androgynous beauty in contemporary fashion. Second, the body is an object which has been oppressed or controlled under the name of history. morality. and rationality. The things making us regard the body itself as an aesthetic object may be considered as dynamic and functional beauty Third, the sexual instinct and the body are fetishized as consumer goods, and women's bodies are presented as comsumer objects whose most parts could be restored to exchangeable value. The consumable beauty presented in contemporary fashion is the conspicuous beauty and the decadent beauty. So far, the various aspects of the beautiful body has been considered, based on the beauty of the ideal body shown by the fashion communication media. Man exists through on his body. but it is the embodied and formed body that serves as a means to manifest his social status and cultural ties. A natural body is reformed as a cultural phenomenon in various artificial ways. Popular culture has transmitted a series of new body image by creating and reproducing symbols and images, and has made the ideal body. Now there is not only one standard for the ideal beauty in our society. The standard of the beauty has changed continuously. There has been an aesthetic sense which can represent the times during the process of those changes. The various communication media have played a role of mirror reflecting those changes. The ideal body in contemporary times is no more an abstract media to express classical beauty, but an object directly affecting us, who are living in the crisis of subjectivity and identity.

현대패션에서의 과장형 복식의 조형적 특성과 상징적 의미에 관한 연구 (A Study of Formative Characteristics and Symbolic Meanings of the Exaggeration Type in Modern Fashion)

  • Exaggeration is to express an object or a situation in an excessive way. As the desire for aesthetic expression grows greater today, we tended to focus on the exaggerative expression as a means to acquire other's attention and praise. Also people more actively express their own intention or opinion in an exaggerated manner. The purpose of this study is to identify the social and cultural functions of modern fashion via exaggerative expression, one of the formative characteristics, and its meaning. To do so, the exaggerative features of modern fashion have been analyzed, and the social and cultural meaning of those have been examined through the background of the times and aesthetic sense. The formative form in the exaggerative expression shown in the modern fashion was classified into a body priority type emphasizing woman's body contour, a body disregarded type shown oversized silhouette regardless of body contour and a body distorted type expressing free and diverse form in various shapes of asymmetry and imbalance. The symbolic meanings of those include the changing of the body consciousness and the notions of feminity, and the desire fur formative and playable expression. The exaggeration of the costume in history meant aesthetic value of the woman's body in the society led by men. However, the exaggerative expression shown in the modern fashion is a method to express more actively, as compared with the costume in the past.

중국 현대패션에 표현된 화복(華服)에 관한 연구 (A Study of Huafu as Expressed in Chinese Contemporary Fashion)

  • Huafu is the traditional clothing of the Han Chinese as the significant cultural symbol of Chinese civilization. The resuscitation of Huafu is an exemplification for the pride of a nation, due to China's rapid economic development and a craze for Chinese cultures. Huafu's resuscitation is not only introducing the traditional design factors of Huafu into the contemporary fashion but also reflects the image of Chinese style created to modernize works. Through the study of the history of Huafu, it could be summarized that Ruqun(Zu-chin), Shenyi(Shen-yee), and Shan were the most important and typical types. The characteristics of Huafu were primary colors or strong contrast with achromatic colors, flora and fauna patterns, and geometric patterns. The clothing aesthetic of Huafu could be summed up as spacious, delicate, gorgeous, clandestine, and unconventional character. There were lots of elements in Huafu that could provide inspiration for contemporary fashion designers, such as forms, colors, patterns, details, and also the aesthetic. Based on the analysis of the Chinese designers who applied the elements of Huafu into contemporary fashion design, it could be recognized that the Chinese designer's works were made using the elements of traditional Huafu directly or using new fabrics and techniques to give a modern sense, but also embodies the Huafu's clothing aesthetic at the same time. In the wake of the resuscitation and publicity of Huafu, the essential factors of Huafu will be able to provide inspiration for designers not only for Chinese but also around the world.

초등학생 학교체육복 디자인 프로토타입 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Design Prototype for Physical Education(PE) Uniforms of Elementary School)

  • This study was done for the proposal for improvement for junior sportswear which is substitutable as uniforms in the form of elementary school and physical education uniforms by analyzing detailed features through investigation. Accordingly, we developed a prototype design for physical education uniforms as a symbol of the school to enhance the aesthetic and functional satisfaction. The results are as follows. When we developed physical education uniforms, we put activity on our first priority while taking the improvement in both aesthetic and functional aspects into consideration. In addition, we tried to make sure the uniforms reflect the refined and trendy elements to meet students needs to satisfy their aesthetic sense in dress. Reflecting the improvement proposals and preferences of the students, six different prototype designs were developed and evaluated on the basis of two concepts of "new basic" and "trendy". The highest ranking, the physical education uniforms design 1 is based on new basic concept and characterized with slim fit considering activity which will be worn as fall/winter physical education uniforms. Design 1 uses ottoman functional knit as a fabric material which is not only students favorite but also good in both flexibility and warmth. Top with style of high-neckline collar and full open zip-up is simplified with the incision lines and detail. It is a set-in sleeve design in which blue and yellow collars signifying school color are properly placed along with the incision lines in harmony.

레트로(Retro) 패션의 특징과 문화산업적 의미 연구 (A Study on the Design Characteristics and the Cultural and Industrial Meanings of Retro-Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp the meanings of retro-fashion, to research the design characteristics and background on the birth of repro-fashion. It can help to confirm the importance of aesthetic marketing which is based on human feelings, the roles and cultural and industrial meanings. Reto-fashion Is one of the mediums between the expression of Post-modern fashion and emotional sympath of human beings as consumer and fashion creators. So this inspiration is the way of fashion creativities. The backgrounds of appearance repro-fashion are reflection about materialism and technique and 20th century, the sense of instability and finding new ideas from the past. The characteristics of retro-fashion designs are as follows : First, the styles have been come from 50's. 60's, 70's, and 80\`s. It means that the styles not just expressed to return to the past simply but an expression the emotional state for missing the past. Second, the colors and materials are various also as like styles. Third, the decorations of repro-fashion are more crafts by human. The roles of retro-fashion are for creation of high valued product in fashion design, expression of individuality with disharmonized coordination and application as a fusion style. The cultural and industrial meaning of repro-fashion are endowment of aesthetic marketing using human feeling in fashion marketing area and pursuing of the Renaissance of fashion culture and industry. Therefore it is needed that design critics and analysis going side by culture and industry condition for fashion study with human feelings in 21th century.

현대 디지털 패션에 나타난 예술 매체적 특성과 미적 가치 (The Aesthetic Value and Art-media's Characteristics as Appeared in Contemporary Digital Fashion)

  • In this modern digital era, there are very vigorous arguments about digital and media aesthetics throughout culture and art on the basis of new transferring of recognition about the art-media's characteristics. Therefore, this paper tries to discover the art-media's characteristics and aesthetic value that are included in contemporary digital fashion through studying the fusion between digital and fashion. The purpose of this research is to offer positive and evolutive opportunity of artistic thinking to make the meeting between fashion and media suggest the future generation, adaptation and recognition in the media - developmental environment that will be deeper and more fueling. In the area of research method, this paper takes the method of theoretical research by referring national and foreign literatures and preceding research-papers, and carries out investigation and analysis about digital fashion for the last 10 years. The results of this study; The art-media's characteristics of modern digital fashion are virtuality, immateriality and characteristics of multimedia. The aesthetic values can be classified with four kinds of properties. First is hybridity initiated from multi-media that creates works; the second is infinite reproductivity initiated from the characteristics of the multi media and the digital carrier. Thirdly, there is also interactivity appeared all over the area of production, adaptation and perception caused by non-linearity and immateriality. Finally there is synesthesia that can extend the capability of sense through digital media.

Management of Aesthetic intentions in Urban Design -Artworks in Urban Public Space-

  • After World War II, Japan experienced a great political and social shift, which brought a concern of emerging public landscape in urban development. This paper analyses the management of the aesthetic intentions in urban design effort. We reviewed the development of various public installation of artworks concerning urban landscape aesthetics through its administrative process in chronological order. The monuments during the first decade marked a shift in emphasis from the militarism of the pre-war and wartime period to one of peace. However, some of the monuments and sculptures are not immune to controversy. This became an issue that could no be ignored by public officials whose responsibility was to place the sculptures while maintaining sensitivity to public opinion. As public administrators began to consider the possibility that sculptures may contribute to improving public amenities, the contextual concepts were basically ignored. Some of the programs in 1970s began to show more respect to the context, while other programs in this period expressed more interest in educational aspects of sculptures in the public spaces. Urban development projects also seek to introduce artworks integrated to their urban design concepts in 1990s. Generally, the administrators responsible for these programs were rarely trained in any relative field study other than public administration. Installing sculptures tended to be considered as part of public works projects on the level of urban planning and construction. The general public is basically removed from participating in the critical decisions that actually impact their lives in relation to the artworks. In conclusion, public art in japan has unique social and historic background both in its advantages and disadvantages. Issues pertaining to art in public spaces have evolved over the decades as the term "sculpture pollution" began to appear by the mid 1990s. most of the problems originated in either the lack of monumentality, contextual consideration, quality, or public participation. From another point of view, these programs played great roll in the development of modern Japanese sculpture and patronizing process, and the creation of new urban landscape with aesthetic value. In this sense, they must be considered as successful and noteworthy examples of cultural administration and urban design policy.
