  • To make provision for the super-aged society, the senior welfare facility which is a kind of typical physical environment of the nursing service would be expected to perform a very important role in local community. This study was conducted to identify the constructs of the servicescapes of senior welfare facility and to draw analysis indicators of it. For this, we performed literature review based on domestic & foreign government guide, service marketing theory and interior architectural results concerning the physical environment of the senior welfare facility. The result of this study showed as follows: servicescapes of the senior welfare facility could be explained as "a whole set of physical environment to support a variety of services provided by the senior welfare facility for the elderly or services of the kind of tangible clues". Analysis indicators of the senior welfare facility's servicescape could be explained as five factors: safety factor, functional factor, aesthetic factor, ambient factor and social factor. In addition we developed 37 pieces of detailed factors referred to five factors. The evaluation and verification of analysis indicators was carried out through 8 experts in-depth interviews. We inspected importance factor using a 5-point Likert scale, therefore safety factor was 4.41, functional factor was 4.27, aesthetic factor was 3.66, ambient factor was 4.20 and social factor was 4.25. More than anything else, in this study, there is a sense that it has established the concept of servicescape adapted to the senior welfare facility and contained a social element between the employees and the physical environment. Theoretical and practical implications of findings are discussed, and future research directions are proposed. we expect to be a little or benefits to the senior welfare facility corresponding to the future of the super-aged society.

  • The purpose of this study was to make a comparative factor analysis of relations between college girls' make-up and clothing behaviors. The results of the study were as follows : 1. Make-up behavior showed the significant differences in accordance with whether doing make-up or not, motives of initiating make-up, sources of make-up information and references and expenses for cosmetics purchase. 2. There were negative correlations between all sub-factors of make-up behavior and the sense of comfort. In clothing behavior, a positive correlation existed between aesthetic sense and fashionableness. In make-up behavior, however, those college students who were more aware of others and considered make-up more important as a means of skin care and self-change regarded aesthetic sense, one of the sub-factors of clothing behavior, as most important.

  • This paper investigated optimal design for slim wall mount arm for flat TV. Recently the number of flat TV sets in use went on increasing in TV market. As the flat TV sets are getting common, consumers came to need another requirements like aesthetic factor besides display performances. As the new TV sets tend to be slimmer due to aesthetic design, Wall mount also requires to be slimmer for aesthetic balance. Slim structures, however, are vulnerable to structural rigidity. In this study, slim wall mount arm has been designed by 3D CAD and DOE (Design of Experiments) and finite element analysis for optimal structural design were carried out to determine the design variables for minimize working stress of wall mount arm. Finally two optimal design conditions were selected through DOE and FEM and one of those was chosen under constraint of minimizing blanking developed length.

  • This study focuses on visual aesthetic factors in the apparel web site design. 103 undergraduates participated in the evaluation of six internet web sites. The evaluation were recorded and analyzed by using the inspection method and a questionnaire. Findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, the result of SPSS-factor analysis shows that there are 2 distinct factors; 'classical aesthetics' and 'expressive aesthetics'. 'classical aesthetics' and 'expressive aesthetics' can be described by visual aesthetic design. This conceptual confusion relating to 'visual aesthetic design' can be clarified by these findings. Second, as a result of multiple regression analyses, 'classical aesthetics' and 'expressive aesthetics' have a positive influence on 'interactivity' and 'web site evaluation'. This research clarifies the concepts of 'engagement' of Rosen & Purinton as the 'interactivity' between users and web sites. Finally, this study suggests that 'good design' for internet web sites depends on understanding how to attain the appropriate balance between 'classical aesthetics' and 'expressive aesthetics', based on the target customer.

  • This study deals with Rhythm which is one of aesthetic variables. Aesthetics among the factors of consumer preference has been importantly considered in competitive market environment. Therefore , consumers' purchasing standard has been also changed as their consciousness has been changed according to the variation of their lire style. Besides, the technique and method of design faces up to the change because of consumers' diverse wishes. Hence, to satisfy consumers' needs and the market front now on characterized as the short durability cycle of products, a distinctive design should be developed in the form of products that can be an important factor to attract consumers preference. So, in this study, 1 will try to understand typology based on a categorization theory and the conceptual structure of aesthetics, which are importantly considered at the same time. In addition, I will establish a new design process by extracting Rhythm affecting aesthetic. Ultimately, this study aims develop more consumer preferring design beyond the limit of a designer's idea and design generation by the result of this study.

  • Generally people and their lives are the basic object of literary works. Although each literary work possesses a different degree of significance depending upon the author's intention the description of costume becomes an indispensable factor in the formation of characters and the social background. In this paper the types of men's and women's clothing in fashion from 1895 to 1942 are studied fior the purpose of understanding the correlation between hyo-Suk's description of the attire and the vogue of the time. Consequently it was clarified that his descriptions of costume have an analogy with the fashion during the era. Especially this study ascertains that the beauty of costume as a formative art emphasizes the altered inherited and developing traditional Korean beauty influenced by exoticism. In conclusion the aesthetic consciousness of Hyo-Suk Lee tells us clearly that the beauty of Korea is the universal beauty apprecialted regardless of place and time. Such an aestheitic consciousness is not rigid but continously transforming. his literarywork clearly shows a new aesthetic categry formed by combination of traditonal Korean beauty and the aesthetic consciousness of exoticism.
