In this paper, the affine transformation method that is more simpler compare with digital orthophoto method is used analyzed the long-term shoreline change, and accuracy estimation was carried out. As a result of this study, it was able to check that the shoreline change on Namhangjin coast had eroded significantly compare with the past. Moreover, as a result of accuracy estimation, it shows that the RMS error around shoreline was about 1-2 m. In consideration that maximum allowable error shown in aerial photogrammetry specification is within 2 m, therefore, analysis results of shoreline change using affine transformation method on aerial images is reliable.

Since existing thematic maps have been made with medium- to low-resolution satellite images, they have several shortcomings including low positional accuracy and low precision of presented thematic information. Digital aerial photo image taken recently can express panchromatic and color bands as well as NIR (Near Infrared) bands which can be used in interpreting forest areas. High resolution images are also available, so it would be possible to conduct precision land cover classification. In this context, this paper implemented object-based land cover classification by using digital aerial photos with 0.12m GSD (Ground Sample Distance) resolution and IKONOS satellite images with 1m GSD resolution, both of which were taken on the same area, and also executed qualitative analysis with ortho images and existing land cover maps to check the possibility of object-based land cover classification using digital aerial photos and to present usability of digital aerial photos. Also, the accuracy of such classification was analyzed by generating TTA(Training and Test Area) masks and also analyzed their accuracy through comparison of classified areas using screen digitizing. The result showed that it was possible to make a land cover map with digital aerial photos, which allows more detailed classification compared to satellite images.
Red tide, causes aquaculture industry the damages in Korea every summer, was usually detected by using satellite, aquaculture information was difficult to detect by using satellite. Therefore, we suggests the method for detecting the red tide using the coastal observation and the product from the unmanned aerial Vehicle. As a result, we obtained the high resolution unmanned aerial Vehicle images, detected the red tide by using the unsupervised classification from the true color images and the simple algorithm from the RGB color images. Compared the previous color images, unmanned aerial Vehicle images were clearly classified the ocean color, we were able to identify the red tide distribution in sea surface. These methods were determined to accurately monitor the red tide distribution on the aquaculture fields in the coastal waters where is established the aquaculture.

This paper proposes a semi-automatic image-based approach for 3-dimensional (3D) modeling of buildings along streets. Image-based urban 3D modeling techniques are typically based on the use of aerial and ground-level images. The aerial image of the relevant area is extracted from publically available sources in Google Maps by stitching together different patches of the map. Panoramic images are common for ground-level recording because they have advantages for 3D modeling. A panoramic video recorder is used in the proposed approach for recording sequences of ground-level spherical panoramic images. The proposed approach has two advantages. First, detected camera trajectories are more accurate and stable (compared to methods using multi-view planar images only) due to the use of spherical panoramic images. Second, we extract the texture of a facade of a building from a single panoramic image. Thus, there is no need to deal with color blending problems that typically occur when using overlapping textures.
The application of the aerial images are to find the 3-D elevations. Image matching techniques such as Multi-resolution techniques, WCC (Weighted Cross-Correlation), NSSR (Narrow Search Sub-pixel Registration) that we know robustly apply to images which have enough features. But the method is not adaptive in images which have not enough features due to increasing of disparity errors. In this paper, we propose Disparity Interpolation that decrease disparity errors occurring in the area where images have not enough features. By using real aerial images we compare the result from existing image matching techniques to the result from proposed method.

The use of airborne LiDAR data obtained by airborne laser scanners has increased in the field of spatial information such as building modeling. LiDAR data consist of irregularly distributed 3D coordinates and lack visual and semantic information. Therefore, LiDAR data processing is complicate. This study suggested a method of LiDAR data segmentation using roof surface patches from aerial images. Each segmented patch was modeled by analyzing geometric characteristics of the LiDAR data. The optimal functions could be determined with segmented data that fits various shapes of the roof surfaces as flat and slanted planes, dome and arch types. However, satisfiable segmentation results were not obtained occasionally due to shadow and tonal variation on the images. Therefore, methods to remove unnecessary edges result in incorrect segmentation are required.
Remote sensing can be used to provide information about the monitoring of crop growth condition. Recently Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology offers new opportunities for assessing crop growth condition using UAV imagery. The objective of this study was to assess weather UAV aerial images are suitable for the monitoring of highland Kimchi cabbage. This study was conducted using a fixed-wing UAV (Model : Ebee) with Cannon S110, IXUS/ELPH camera during farming season from 2015 to 2016 in the main production area of highland Kimchi cabbage, Anbandegi, Maebongsan, and Gwinemi. The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) by using UAV images was stable and suitable for monitoring of Kimchi cabbage situation. There were strong relationships between UAV NDVI and the growth parameters (the plant height and leaf width) ($R^2{\geq}0.94$). The tendency of UAV NDVI according to Kimchi cabbage growth was similar in the same area for two years (2015~2016). It means that if UAV image may be collected several years, UAV images could be used for estimation of the stage of growth and situation of Kimchi cabbage cultivation.

Researchers seeking geological and environmental information, depend on remote sensing and aerial photographic datum from various commercial satellites and aircraft. However, adverse weather conditions as well as equipment expense limit the ability to collect data anywhere and anytime. To allow for better flexibility in geological and environmental data collection, we have developed a compact, multi-spectral automatic Aerial Photographic system (PKNU2). This system's Multi-spectral camera can record visible (RGB) and infrared (NIR) band (3032*2008 Pixels) images Visible and infrared band images were obtained from each camera respectively and produced color-infrared composite images to be analyzed for the purpose of the environmental monitoring. However this did not provide quality data. Furthermore, it has the disadvantage of having the stereoscopic overlap area being 60% unsatisfied due to the 12 seconds of storage time of each data The PKNU2 system in contrast, photographed photos of great capacity Thus, with such results, we have been proceeding to develop the advanced PKNU2 (PKNU3) system that consists of a color-infrared spectral camera that can photograph in the visible and near-infrared bands simultaneously using a single sensor, a thermal infrared camera, two 40G computers to store images, and an MPEG board that can compress and transfer data to the computer in real time as well as be able to be mounted onto a helicopter platform.
In this paper, we develop a registration method to eliminate the geometric inconsistency between the stereo-images and light detection and ranging (LIDAR) data obtained by an airborne multisensor system. This method consists of three steps: registration primitive extraction, correspondence establishment, and exterior orientation parameter (EOP) adjustment. As the primitives, we employ object points and linked edges from the stereo-images and planar patches and intersection edges from the LIDAR data. After extracting these primitives, we establish the correspondence between them, being classified into vertical and horizontal groups. These corresponding pairs are simultaneously incorporated as stochastic constraints into aerial triangulation based on the bundle block adjustment. Finally, the EOPs of the images are adjusted to minimize the inconsistency. The results from the application of our method to real data demonstrate that the inconsistency between both data sets is significantly reduced from the range of 0.5 m to 2 m to less than 0.05 m. Hence, the results show that the proposed method is useful for the data fusion of aerial images and LIDAR data.
This study explores the concept of spectacular realism. and finds out how spectacular realism is made in movies. The Movies's spectacle is a realistic spectacle that does not miss the reality. so audiences can immerse themselves in it. Nowadays the spectrum of visual realism is becoming very diverse. "Perceptual realism" means to feel more like real than to reproduce reality as it is. "Synthetic realism" is a realism that CGI makes. And "Spectacular realism" makes the spectators concentrate to images than narrative or character. It means the dominance of the visual. The films and showed "Spectacular realism" especially in the aerial battle scenes. The films use 'Presentation of a new spatial sensation using unusual angles', 'Editing that constitutes transcendental time' and 'Intense contrast' as methods to embody spectacular realism. And the harmonious arrangement of transcendental images and very realistic screens effectively embodies Spectacular Realism. This discussion, which began in the air battle scene, could contribute to a broader and more diverse exploration of the implementation of spectacular realism images in the future.
