This paper presents a method for automatic 3-d building reconstruction using high resolution aerial imagery. First, by using edge preserving filtering, noise is eliminated and then images are segmented by watershed algorithm, which preserves location of edge pixels. To extract line segments between control points from boundary of each region, we calculate curvature of each pixel on the boundary and then find the control points. Line segment linking is performed according to direction and length of line segments and the location of line segments is adjusted using gradient magnitudes of all pixels of the line segment. Coplanar grouping and pplygonal patch formation are performed per region by selecting 3-d line segments that are matched using epipolar geometry and flight information. The algorithm has been applied to high resolution aerial images and the results show accurate 3D building reconstruction.

Efficient 3D generation of cultural features, such as buildings in urban area is becoming increasingly important for a number of GIS applications. For reconstruction or 3D building in urban area aerial images, satellite images, LIDAR data have been used mainly. In case of automatically extracting and reconstructing of building height using single aerial images or single satellite images, there are a lot of problems, such as mismatching that result from a geometric distortion of optical images. Therefore, researches or integrating optical images and existing 2D GIS data(e.g. digital map) has been in progress. In this paper, we focused on extracting of building height by means or interest points and vortical line locus for reducing matching points. Also we used digital plotter in order to validate for the results in this study using aerial images(1/5,000) and existing digital map(1/1,000).

Task assignments of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are examined. The phrase "task assignment" comprises the decision making procedures of a UAV group. In this study, an on-line decentralized task assignment algorithm is proposed for an autonomous UAV group. The proposed method is divided into two stages: an order optimization stage and a communications and negotiation stage. A genetic algorithm and negotiation strategy based on one-to-one communication is adopted for each stage. Through the proposed algorithm, decentralized task assignments can be applied to dynamic environments in which sensing range and communication are limited. The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by performing numerical simulations.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are increasingly needed as they can replace manned aircrafts in dangerous military missions. However, because of their low autonomy, current UAVs can execute missions only under continuous operator control. To overcome this limitation, higher autonomy levels of UAVs based on autonomous situational awareness is required. In this paper, we propose an autonomous situational awareness software consisting of situation awareness management, threat recognition, threat identification, and threat space analysis to detect dynamic situational change by external threats. We implemented the proposed software in real mission computer hardware and evaluated the performance of situational awareness toward dynamic radar threats in flight simulations.
This paper represents 3D line segment extraction method, which can be used in generating 3D rooftop model. The core of our method is that 3D line segment is extracted by using line fitting of elevation data on 2D line coordinates of ortho-image. In order to use elevations in line fitting, the elevations should be reliable. To measure the reliability of elevation, in this paper, we employed the concept of self-consistency. We carry out the experiment of 3D line extraction using synthetic images generated from Avenches data set of Ascona aerial images.
In this paper, we are concerned with a 3D line segment extraction method by area-based stereo matching technique. The main idea is based on line fitting of elevation data on 2D line coordinates of ortho-image. Elevation data and ortho-image can be obtained by well-known area-based stereo matching technique. In order to use elevation in line fitting, the elevation itself should be reliable. To measure the reliability of elevation, in this paper, we employ the concept of self-consistency. We test the effectiveness of the proposed method with a quantitative accuracy analysis using synthetic images generated from Avenches data set of Ascona aerial images. Experimental results indicate that our method generates 3D line segments almost 7.5 times more accurate than raw elevations obtained by area-based method.

This paper described development of the portable ground control system(PGCS) for unmanned aerial vehicle. In the design of GCS, it upload mission planning that aircraft has to perform and has to receive position, attitude, state, navigation information all about the aircraft. Aircraft states and trajectory are displayed using this system on line. The PGCS is composed of commercial notebook computer, RF modem for communication between aircraft and PGCS, input/output board, remote control receiver, switches and lamps. Performance of this system is verified by flight test of small unmanned aerial vehicle.

Installed on telephone poles laid scrambling to monitor the status of the communication lines, and cost information can provid eadditional information tools to develop systems to support on-site monitoring. Aerial support for a maintenance monitoring module to apply an embedded system, and information processing applications manufactured. In this study, a comprehensive plan in accordance with the government's aerial maintenance work to prevent accidents spread support for the device to immediately take advantage of big cities and aerial maintenance business, Construction worker accused of bias and aims to improve efficiency of maintenance puts.
As Unmanned Aerial Vehicles technology has been widespread, various types of unmanned aircraft and mission equipment have been developed in line with mission diversification. Especially in Korea, small unmanned aerial vehicles have been actively developed. In addition, flight control system and mission equipment interface system for effective control of small unmanned aerial vehicles, efficient communication system configuration and operation for transmission to ground operated systems by processing data are required. This paper addresses efficient system structure and operation of communication equipment for missions and control of small unmanned aerial vehicles.
The methanol extracts of the aerial parts, leaves and stem of Hypericum hookerianum were tested for in vitro cytotoxicity on selected normal and cancer cell lines and anti tumor activity using DLA cells. Cell viability and morphological changes were assessed. Among the three extracts tested, the stem extract of Hypericum hookerianum showed potent cytotoxicity against HEp-2 and RD cell lines. The $CTC_{50}$(concentration required to reduce viability by 50%) of this extract was found to be $2.02\;{\mu}g/ml$ for RD cell line, $10.25\;{\mu}g/ml$ for HEp-2 cell line and $100.06\;{\mu}g/ml$ for Vero cell line. In the clonogenic assay, no colony formation was observed up to a concentration of $100\;{\mu}g/ml$. In the short term cytotoxicity studies using DLA cells, 50% viability was observed in the concentration range of $50-100\;{\mu}g/ml$ for aerial parts, $100-200\;{\mu}g/ml$ for stem and more than $200\;{\mu}g/ml$ for leaf extracts of Hypericum hookerianum. In the long-term activity using HEp-2 cell line, no colony formation was observed over a concentration of 200 mg/ml for the stem extract. Hypericum hookerianum stem extract was fractionated into petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate and methanol soluble fractions. The petroleum ether and chloroform soluble fractions showed higher cytotoxic activity against HEp-2 cell line when compared to the other two fractions. The methanol stem extract of Hypericum hookerianum has the potential for further investigation in animal models to determine its anti-tumor activity and to identify its active principles.
