A double-blind placebo-controlled heart rate variability investigation to evaluate the quantitative effects of the organic nanoscale aeon patch on the autonomic nervous system

  • In this first double-blind-placebo-controlled investigation of the Aeon Patch, electrocardiographic data were acquired from 50 well-hydrated volunteers [21 females and 29 males, age: 19-79, weight: 117-334 lbs, height: 5'-6',3"], under 3 different conditions for a total duration of 15 min (5 min/condition). Condition1: Control (C) - while wearing no Patch, Condition 2: Placebo (P) or Active (A) - after wearing either the Placebo or the Aeon Patch for 20 min, and Condition 3: Active (A) or Placebo (P) - after wearing either the Aeon or the Placebo Patch for 20 min. There was a washout period of 15 min between Conditions 2 and 3. All involved in the investigation were blind to the (A) and (P) Patches as they looked exactly the same and were assigned in a random fashion. The hypothesis to be tested was: Wearing the Aeon Patch for 20 min reduces stress. Data were first quality assured and those subjects who showed a parasympathetic response after wearing the Patch within 20 min were identified as early responders. Thirty subjects (60%) achieved a relaxed state after wearing the Aeon Patch as early as 20 min. Statistical analysis (one-sample inference) was used to compare the spectral features of the responders. The normalized LF/HF decreased significantly ($24%{\pm}9%$ after 20 min) in condition (A) compared to condition (P) with a p-value < 0.047 (n = 30) in responders. Therefore, the hypothesis that wearing the Aeon Patch for 20 min reduces stress was accepted as true.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate AEON Group which is the largest retailers in Japan. There are same characteristic between E-mart and Aeon. They adopted hyper method as like as European and American. In addition to this, they applied their own custom. As I reviewed about the stages of development corporate, it is enabled to be expected the strategy of Aeon. The corporate will be a holding company and planning to expand branch to hundred in China.

  • Currently, many PC games are developed using game engines. Although these game engines provide many functions, there are also downsides such as limitations of the engine itself and development costs. This is essentially why DirectX, which has relatively few limitations and requires minimal expenses, is still considered a very useful game development tool. This thesis lays out the design plan for a war action genre game called Aeon of Strife using low quality game development tools.

Two Aspects of the Game Playing Effect and Attitude toward Game Regulation :Focused on Game Genre (게임 플레이 효과의 양면성과 게임 규제 태도 연구 :게임 장르를 중심으로)

  • This study looks at the social implications of gaming disorder by considering the situation in Korea. Focusing on specificity of game genres, this study analyzed two aspects of the game playing effect-positive(cognitive needs) and negative(game addiction)-and suggested directions for game regulation policies and game addiction studies, since game playing effects are closely related to game regulatory policy. To analyze game effects and attitudes to regulations, this study performed regression analysis based on the online survey. Results show that game playing effects and attitudes toward game regulation differ based on the nature of game genres. While longer gaming increased the effect of addiction, it also increased cognitive needs. Playing roleplaying, Aeon of Strife, and strategy game genres(RAS), which are subject to game regulation, increased game addiction levels but simultaneously contributed to increased cognitive needs. While playing augmented reality genres positively affected cognitive needs, it also showed favorable attitudes to general game regulation.

  • A new field of e-sports gains the great popularity in Korea as well as abroad. AOS (aeon of strife) genre games are quickly gaining popularity with gamers from all over the world and the game companies hold game competitions. The e-sports broadcasting teams and webzines use a variety of statistical indicators. In this paper, as an AOS genre game, League of Legends game data is used for statistical analysis using the indicators to predict the outcome. We develop new indicators with the factor analysis to improve existing indicators. Also we consider discriminant function, neural network model, and SVM (support vector machine) for make winning forecasting models. As a result, the new position indicators reflect the nature of the role in the game and winning forecasting models show more than 95 percent accuracy.

  • E-sports, a burgeoning facet of modern sports culture, has achieved global prominence. Particularly, Aeon of Strife (AOS) games, emblematic of E-sports, blend individual player prowess with team dynamics to significantly influence outcomes. This study aggregates and analyzes real user gameplay data using statistical techniques. Furthermore, it develops and tests win-loss prediction models through machine learning, leveraging a substantial dataset of 1,149,950 individual data points and 230,234 team data points. These models, employing five machine learning algorithms, demonstrate an average accuracy of 80% for individual and 95% for team predictions. The findings not only provide insights beneficial to game developers for enhancing game operations but also offer strategic guidance to general users. Notably, the team-based model outperformed the individual-based model, suggesting its superior predictive capability.

  • 본 논문에서는 라플라시안 피라미드를 이용하여 컬러 영상의 밝기 및 색상을 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 입력 영상을 라플라시안 피라미드로 구성한 후 저해상도 근사 영상을 이용하여 영상의 전체적인 밝기를 개선하고 대역 통과 영상들을 이용하여 대비를 개선한 후 입력 영상의 밝기 값에 따라 적응적으로 색상을 재현함으로써 최종적으로 컬러 영상의 화질을 개선한다. 실험 결과 제안하는 방법은 영상 조명 특성에 강인한 화질 개선 성능을 보여주었으며 동영상에 적응시에도 자연스러운 화질 개선 결과를 얻을 수 있었고 실시간 처리가 가능한 수행 속도를 보여주었다.

  • Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a common disorder affecting the emotional and physical health of women during certain periods of the menstrual cycle. Many researchers who have previously studied PMS have believed that PMS is associated with changes in sex hormones and serotonin levels at the beginning of the menstrual cycle. However, recent studies suggest that progesterone/estrogen imbalance and elevation of prolactin-induced by dopamine low-secretion play a crucial role in increasing PMS symptoms. Because of this, we have focused on mitigating PMS symptoms through the mechanism of prolactin secretion inhibition by dopamine receptor activation. The inhibition of prolactin secretion by 61-kinds of medicinal herb extracts was investigated in GH3 pituitary cells. Among them, Inula heleniun L. root extract (IHE) showed excellent prolactin secretion inhibitory effect. IHEs were prepared using 30, 50, and 70% ethanol. And the yield, cytotoxicity, dopamine receptor activity and inhibition of prolactin secretion of each extract were measured. Through a series of experiments, we found that prolactin secretion was significantly reduced (P<0.01) by the components present in IHE and that dopamine receptor regulation was possible (P<0.05). Considering yield and safety, we suggest the use of 30% ethanol IHE in the development of PMS symptom relief products.
