본 논문은 인도 현지에 진출하여 직접 경영활동을 수행하고 있는 한국기업들의 경쟁우위요인을 규명하고 이러한 경쟁우위요인과 경영성과와의 관계를 실증적으로 분석하는 것이 주요 목적이다. 즉, 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 요인들은 적극적으로 개발하여 활용해야 할 것이며 동시에 영향을 미치고 있지 않거나 부정적인 영향력을 행사하고 있는 요인들은 세밀하게 파악해내어 이들에 대한 불필요한 비용의 지출을 억제해야 할 것이다. 본 논문의 독립변수가 되는 경쟁우위요인은 우선 일반적으로 인식되고 있는 요인들을 관련 이론과 선행연구에서 도출하였으며 구체적으로 소개하면 다음과 같다. 즉, 마케팅 우위요인, 기술 우위요인, 재무 우위요인, 제품개발 우위요인, 소비자 관리 우위요인 등이라 할 수 있다. 또한 종속변수가 되는 경영성과 역시 선행연구를 토대로 매출증가율, 수익증가율, 경영만족도 등으로 3분하였다. 실증분석 방법은 기초적인 자료의 현황을 계량적으로 나타내기 위해서 기술통계는 피어슨 상관관계 분석을 중심으로 실행하였고, 가설검정을 위한 최종 추리통계는 다중회귀분석을 실행하였다. 분석에 사용한 통계패키지는 SPSS 윈도우 버전 12.0이다.

In the era of noble technology, virtual reality (VR) has been adopted in various fields, with the advantages of VR in education being confirmed through numerous studies. In skill development training education, humans or equipment that interact with the trainee are crucial and currently VR is more preferred. In this study, six projects were selected and reviewed in-depth visualizing the use of VR in training and its potential. Comparison between the learning actions of training in the virtual and real environments were conducted. Training through VR is location-dependent, time-dependent, safe, and reversible. VR application is also determined by the preps and feedback-providing functionality which must be emphasized. All the advantages of VR in skill development training make it an opportunity provider. This article can be used by those developing VR projects for skill development training.

전사적 품질 관리(TQM)의 원칙 적용이 많은 선두 대기업들에 있어서 굉장한 성공을 가져왔음에도 불구하고, 중소기업들은 전사적 품질 관리(TQM)를 채택한 큰 대기업에 비해 뒤쳐져 왔다. 이는, 대기업과 중소기업사이에 현저한 차이가 존재하기 때문으로, 중소기업의 장점과 약점을 이해하는 것이 필수조건이다. 본 연구에서는 전사적 품질 관리(TQM)의 바탕위에 중소기업에 대한 전사적 품질 관리(TQM)의 원칙 적용을 돕기 위한 의도로, 장점과 약점을 규명하고, 적용 전략을 토론한다.

The objective of this study is to analyze factors affecting usage of b2b e-marketplace. For this purpose, we suggest a research framework where the factors are e-business infrastructure, expectation of competitive advantages and perceived barriers with current and future usages as result variables. For empirical test, 219 companies are surveyed and 177 valid ones among them are analyzed. In result, e-business infrastructure and competitive advantage affect to both current and future usage positively and perceived barriers affect to future usage negatively. The results shows the following two: First, many companies expect improvement of competitive advantages such as bargaining power and efficiency by usage of e-marketplace. Second, for more aggressive usage of e-marketplace, it is important not only to build e-business infrastructure but also to resolve perceived barriers.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate a group activity, reciprocal peer tutoring (RPT), in order to investigate advantages and challenges of RPT in promoting cooperative and collaborative learning environment for EFL University reading instruction. The participants in this study were 89 students taking an English reading course at a Korean university. RPT is a learning strategy whereby learners help each other and learn by teaching. This program was supported by a Vygotskyan perspective which assumes that learners gain mastery and develop cognitive skills through social interaction with more proficient others and their environment. This study relied particularly on participant perceptions through questionnaire survey and Anonymous Online class Report of the course. This study showed various advantages for tutors such as learning through teaching and becoming more autonomous and responsible for their own learning. Non-threatening and highly motivating learning atmosphere are parts of benefits for tutees. Other advantages for tutees included improved level of academic self-confidence, and motivation. This study also revealed several drawbacks associated with the problem of inaccuracy in students' production and students' demand for more direct teacher role. (182 words).

Video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) is a minimally invasive technique that has many advantages in postoperative pain and recovery time. Because of its advantages, VATS is one of the surgical techniques widely used in patients with lung cancer. Most surgeons perform VATS for lung cancer with three or more incisions. As the technique of VATS has evolved, single-port VATS for lung cancer has been attempted and its advantages have been reported. We describe our experiences of VATS for lung cancer with a single incision in this report.

This paper employs the lens of the resource-based view(RBV) to investigate how firms create competitive advantages through IS outsourcing arrangements. The RBV framework is used to explore how a firm adds value and reaps benefits from IS outsourcing arrangements. The primary finding is that in the process of value creation, the 'absorption' of the managerial and technical capabilities of external vendors is critical. When the client firm is able to absorb and integrate the IT capabilities of outsourcing vendors, these absorbed capabilities in turn become the source of IT competence and competitive advantages $vis-\grave{a}-vis$ the competition.

The concept of an "intelligent building" received significant attention from academic, industry and standard development organizations when technically termed a building management system (BMS). Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and their recent development enhanced monitoring and control applications for the building's areas. This paper surveys and analyzes advantages of the main current and emerging approaches that may be fit for BMS. Specifically, we discuss challenges including interoperability, integration, overhead, and bandwidth limitation of WSNs in BMS. Based on analyses, we highlight the advantages of an IP-based and RESTful architecture approach as the most suitable solution for BMS using WSNs (BMS-WSN). The paper also describes our future direction and design for BMS-WSN based on these advantages. The purpose is to enable interaction of users with BMS-WSN in the same way as with any website while ensuring energy efficiency. A test-bed implementation and evaluation of a BMS application is also introduced in this paper to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of IP-based and RESTful architecture for BMS.

다국적기업의 해외 연구개발 활동은 현지 국가에 최신 기술 지식 이전, 고급 일자리 창출 등의 긍정적 효과를 가져다주는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이에 각국 정부는 해외 다국적기업의 연구개발 투자를 유치하기 위한 많은 노력을 진행해 왔으며, 한국 정부 역시 관련 대책을 마련해 왔다. 그러나 국내에 진출한 외투기업의 연구개발 투자 비율은 여전히 미미하고, 이들 기업의 연구개발 투자 관련 연구 역시 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내 외투기업의 연구개발 투자에 대한 이해를 높이기 위해, Dunning의 절충이론에 기반하여 한국 내 외국자본 국적별로 외투기업 연구개발 규모에 대한 OLI 우위의 영향성을 선형회귀모형 및 Tobit 회귀모형으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 한국의 산업 기술력 수준과 지분율은 국적 별 공통적으로 연구개발 규모에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고, 나머지 우위 요소 관련 가설은 부분 채택 되어 국내에 진출한 외투기업 별 다양성이 존재하는 것으로 분석 되었다. 즉 외투기업들은 L 우위(입지우위)가 있는 분야에서 연구개발을 수행하는데, O 우위(소유자 우위) 및 I 우위(내부화 우위) 고려 여부는 기업 및 국적별로 다르다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 연구 결과는 해외 다국적기업의 국내 연구개발 투자 유치 및 외투기업의 연구개발 투자 확대 관련 정책을 위한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

본 논문의 주 목적은 한국의 대중국 해외직접투자의 지리적 변화에 대한 근본적인 원인을 밝히고자 하는데 있다. 특히 1990년대 후반 이후 대중국 투자전략 전환으로 인한 투자 업종 및 입지의 변화는 한국 투자기업이 기업특유 우위(ownership-specific advantages), 내부화우위(internalization advantages) 및 입지우위(locational advantages)에 이론적 기반을 둔 것이 아니라, 시장, 제도 및 기술을 중심으로 한국과 중국 양 국가의 수요가 접합되는 지점의 변화, 즉 통합적 전략의 변화에 기반을 두고 있다고 주장한다. 다시 말해, 1990년대 후반 이후 한국 대중국 직접투자 입지 변화는 2000년 이후 중국시장구조의 변화, 투자유입에 대한 중국의 제도적 변화, 한국기업의 기술역량 제고에 기인한다는 것이다. 이와 더불어 본 논문은 2000년 이후 급속히 증가하고 있는 CDMA 이동통신 투자경험을 사례로 한국 대중국 직접투자에 대한 시상, 제도 및 기술의 입지효과를 밝히고자 하였다.
