This study examined the mediating effects of the adult educator's characteristics on the relationship between the characteristics of the participants attending adult continuing education and the happiness index of lifelong learning, the motivation of participating in learning and the institution characteristics. The research results showed that there is no difference in the happiness index of lifelong learning according to the sex of the adult learners, education level, age, residence, participation experience of lifelong learning, occupation, and type of lifelong programming being participated. The characteristics of adult learners do not have a direct impact on the happiness index of lifelong learning. The characteristics of adult learners affect the characteristics of adult educators, motivation of participating in learning and institution characteristics. Although the characteristics of educators do not affect the happiness index of lifelong learning, the motivation of participating in learning and institution characteristics have a positive impact on the happiness index of lifelong learning. While the characteristics of adult educators do not have a mediating role for the characteristics of adult learners and happiness index of lifelong learning, the motivation of participating in learning and institution characteristics have shown a complete mediation for the characteristics of adult learners and the happiness index of lifelong learning. These findings suggest that the participating motivation of adult learners, adult educator's improved understanding on adult learners and education quality of education institution are very important for increasing the happiness index through a lifelong learning experience.

This study aims to investigate the current status of young adult services centering on public libraries in Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam, identify problems, and then suggest tasks for service revitalization. The status of young adult services and librarians' perceptions in the 93 public libraries in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam that were registered in the 2021 National Library Statistics System and the Busan Metropolitan City Library Portal was investigated. As a result of the survey, 24% of public libraries have a space for young adult, and if there is dedicated space, it was found that the most number of bookshelves for young adult were installed inside the space. Libraries that provide young adult services accounted for 76% of the total, and the age range of the service targets was set between 13 and 18 years of age. The analysis revealed that it was difficult to provide services due to a combination of problems such as poor use and passive participation by young adult, lack of dedicated space, lack of manpower for program operation, and lack of budget. Nevertheless, most librarians agreed on the need to provide young adult-only spaces and young adult services. The tasks to revitalize young adult services in public libraries was suggested; expand young adult participation in the space creation and service planning/operation stage, create a space dedicated to young adult, diversify the contents of youth volunteer activities, secure the professionalism of the librarian in charge, human resource utilization, and expand public relations for services.

The person's behaviors are interactive with sensory processing ability. So sensory processing ability is very important. Most of tools which evaluate sensory processing are developed for the child. But sensory integrated problems are not restricted to the child. It is possible for sensory integrative problems to happen independent of the intellectual level and the social stratum. And sensory integrative problems are distributed in all age. Adults who have a sensory defensiveness use various coping strategies. But it does not solve a basic sensory defensive problem. Previous studies reported the fact that the sensory integrative treatment has a high treatment effect in these people. In this paper, we present the necessity for adult's sensory processing evaluating tool. We introduces Adolescent/Adult Sensory profile to be translated into Korean. It will discriminate adults who have sensory defensiveness from adult. It will provide these people with the suitable help.

This paper is about adult certification on Mobile RFID Service Environments coming through the combination of RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) technology, as the core technology of ubiquitous environments, and mobile telecommunication technology. To overcome the shortcoming of simple adult certification on current internet, we suggest a framework for content-based classification and propose an adult certification system using it. At first, we explain conventional methods for adult certification, and show a criteria of content-based classification for preventing an exposure of adult contents from minors. Additionally, we describe data structure and system for the proposed adult certification on mobile RFID environment, and finish it with concluding remarks.

The purpose of this study was to understand the adult day care as a place for the elders and adults and to develop an initial understanding of the programs and their participants for adult day care for the cognitively-impaired in the U.S.A. The data was collected from 13 Adult Day Care Centers(ADC), and 318 participants from six Adult Day Care Centers from 2001 to 2002 by personal interview and the documents about the participants and their family and caregivers. Participants used ADC program average 8.15 hours In weekdays, 3 days per week. ADC programs provided primarily lunch and snack, transportation, personal care, professional health care, occupational.speech physical therapies, rehabilitation, and respite care. Participants'caregivers were mainly daughters and wives. It is the hope of this study to provide design and care professionals with a first draft of a ″sense-making″template by which they may understand adult day care in a systemic manner and engage in meaningful results as to what this place type could and should be.

This study examined whether structural (coresidence, proximity) and associational (frequency of face-to-face contact, frequency of contact via phone, email or letter) solidarity between adult children and older parents may influence older parents' cognitive functioning. Adult children may help delay older parents' cognitive decline by promoting healthier lifestyle, engaging parents in complex everyday problem solving, and providing emotional support. The data consisted of men and women 65+ at Wave 1 who had at least one child 20+ and participated in at least two waves of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing (KLoSA, N=3,961). Cognitive functioning was measured with the Korean version of the Mini Mental State Examination. Fixed effects models were estimated using the xtreg procedure in STATA. Findings suggest that increases in proximity with at least one adult child may lead to enhanced cognitive functioning among older parents. Neither transitioning to coresidence with at least one adult child nor increases in frequency of contact with at least one non-resident adult child was associated with changes in older parents' cognitive functioning. With older parents' increasing preference for living close by, but not necessarily living with adult children, greater proximity may provide more opportunities for reciprocal support exchanges between the two generations, leading to better cognitive functioning of older parents.

Purpose : This paper focuses on the emerging concept that adult central nervous system neurogenesis can be regulated by various physical activity, enriched environment, and pathological conditions. Neurogenesis-the production of new neuron-is an ongoing process that persists in the adult brain of mammalian, including humans. Result : The adult brain was thought be limited in its regenerative function. However, this concepts changed, recent evidence of neurogenesis in certain adult brain areas such as SVZ(subventricular zone) and SGZ(subgranular zone) in hippocampus, raised possibility for improved treatment for patient with stroke. Neural plasticity has an adaptive purpose, because an ability of the brain to change in response to peripheral stimulation, physical activity, experience, and injury. Conclusions : The major function of the neurogenesis in adult brain seems to be replacing the neuron that die regularly in discrete adult brain regions. These cells are capable of functionally integrating into neighboring neural cells, and reconnecting to the correct neural networks. This review suggest that various intervention, including physical activity, voluntary movement training, skilled forelimb reaching training, and enriched environment, induced neural cell production in certain adult brain, and associated with functional recovery after stroke.

This study analyzed in nutrient contents changes of adult's favorite foods between March 2019 and July 2020 after policy implementation nutrient-poor foods based on special act on safety control of adult's dietary life in Korea. Among adult's favorite foods manufactured or sold in 2020 as well as 2019, calories and key nutrients in breads, ice creams and pizzas were improved in comparison to those in the other food groups. However, most of the changes in calories or key nutrient contents exist. The newly introduced candies, breads showed slightly greater improvements in calories and key nutrient contents than in 2019. On the other hand, some negative changes were found in newly introduced chocolates in comparison to previous ones. Overall, policy implementation on foods seemed to induce changes in nutrient contents of adult's favorite foods. In particular, nutrition education is reported to have a positive impact on adult's frequency and preference for processed foods, and more systematic and continuous nutrition education measures should be devised to help adult as consumers selectively purchase healthy foods. This research is meaningful in that it is the first study to analyze the quality changes of adult's favorite foods since the high-calorie and low-nutrient food management policy.

To classifying and filtering of adult images, in recent the computer vision techniques are actively investigated because rapidly increase for the amount of adult images accessible on the Internet. In this paper, we investigate and develop the tool filtering of adult images using skin color model. The tool is consisting of two steps. In the first step, we use a skin color classifier to extract skin color regions from an image. In the nest step, we use a region feature classifier to determine whether an image is an adult image or not an adult image depending on extracted skin color regions. Using histogram color model, a skin color classifier is trained for RGB color values of adult images and not adult images. Using SVM, a region feature classifier is trained for skin color ratio on 29 regions of adult images. Experimental results show that suggested classifier achieve a detection rate of 92.80% with 6.73% false positives.

The purpose of this study was analyze how korean adult women\`s swimming suit buying behavior varied according to consumer characteristics. Especially, it was intended to provide basic materials for swimming suit product development and quality improvement appropriate to consumer characteristics with a focus on product evaluation criteria. Questionnaire research was conducted for 850 adult women resident in Seoul, to whom questionnaire were distributed and who were asked to complete their questionnaires. 1. As for buying motive, of swimming suit buying behavior, it was shown that the highest proportion of adult women bought their new swimming suit because their old swimming suit was wornout and most adult women tended to buy their new swimming suit or their own will rather than at others\` suggestion. 2. As for the source of information at a time. of swimming suit purchase, adult women collected information from the product on display most and bought their swimming suit in a planned way in relation to the degree of purchase planning. 3. As for product evaluation criteria, adult women showed the high scores in order of the type and quality of material, activity and functionalism, dimensions and fitness. 4. In many cases actual swimming suit purchasers were the adult women who bought their swimming suit, and they used the department store or the large shopping center as the place of purchasing the swimming suit. Its reason was that the department store or the large shopping center had a diverse assortment of products. As for the degree of their travelling companion\`s influence, it was found that most adult women were influenced by their travelling companions when purchasing their swimming suits. 5. As for the level of satisfaction with swimming suit purchase, it was shown that adult women were generally satisfied with their swimming suit purchase. It was found that their level of satisfaction was higher in order of activity and functionalism, the type and quality of swimming suit materials, and ease in washing management while they showed the low level of satisfaction with price, the fastness of color to washing, light and detergents and durability.
