MRI 소음의 특성을 이용한 공동 내부 목표점의 능동소음 제어 (Active Noise Control for Target Point Inside Bore Using Property of MRI Noise)

  • Recently, MRI(magnetic resonance imager) scanner is continually used for medical diagnosis and many biomedical researches. When it operates, however, intense noise is generated. The SPL(sound pressure level) of the noise approaches 130 dB especially in 3 T(Tesla) MRI. Meanwhile, more than 3 T MRI scanners have been developed to get higher-resolution images, so louder noise is expected in the future. The intense noise makes patients feel nervous and uncomfortable. Moreover, it could possibly cause hearing loss to patient in extreme cases. For this reason, some active noise control systems have been researched. One of them used feedback Filtered-X LMS(FXLMS) algorithm which is able to control only narrowband noises and possible to diverge in severe case. In this paper, we determine the property of MRI noise. Using the property, we applied a method of open-loop and adaptive control for reducing MRI noise at target point inside bore. We verified performance of the method with computer simulation and preliminary experiment. The results demonstrate that the method can effectively reduce MRI noise at target point.

  • We propose an optimized adaptive PID control scheme. This paper is focused on the development of model reduction as well as a new adoptive control structure (viz. a recursive least square estimation (RLSE) method-based structure) that is constructed with smith-predictor structure and a real time estimator. The estimator adjust parameters of a reduced model in real time. It leads to robust and superb control performance for the noise or variation of parameters of process. Experimental study reveals that the proposed control structure exhibits more superb output performance in comparison to some previous methods.

  • In this paper, the optimal position selection of error sensors and transducers to attenuate interior noise from outside noise sources using active control techniques is presented. To get an optimal control characteristics in adaptive noise control systems, it is necessary to optimize the positions of sensors and transducers. A new type of simulated annealing method has been proposed as searching technique to find optimal transducers and sensors positions in which the sum of the squared pressures at sensor position in an enclosure can be best minimized. Computer simulations and experiments have been performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • The purpose of this present experiments was to simulate the Active noise control system using MATLAB Tool kit. The Least-Mean-Square algorithm is the most applicable one to optimize the ANC systems, even it has tight limitation. This paper shows the influence of choosing step size to the performance of the LMS adaptive filters. In addition to the simulation, this paper describes the method to design the filtered LMS algorithm to get the better performance in Active noise control. It contains the secondary-path modeling to realize the real Active noise control system in the requesting fields.

  • The impedance of an electro-acoustic transducer can be controlled by motional feedback, and the noise in a duct can be reduced actively by adjusting the impedance using an additional sound. In this paper, two approaches for active noise control using motional feedback (MFB) loudspeaker are described. First configuration uses an external sensor to pickup of source directly. In this configuration, the adaptation of controller is necessary to compensate the change of transfer function from noise source to control poing. The second configuration uses a new adaptive algorithm specialized for peridic noise. Because this configuration does not require any reference input and the error sensor couples very tightly with control loudspeaker, this MFB system itself is independent of the duct condition. No microphone are required in both configurations, so that a more reliable and stable active control system can be realized under severe conditions such as high pressure, high temperature, dust, flow and so on.

  • 영상복원은 영상에 첨가되는 여러가지 잡음을 제거하여 잡음이 영상에 미치는 영향을 줄이는 것이다. 영상복원을 위해, 평균 필터, 메디안 필터, 가중치 필터 등 방법들이 제안되었으나 이러한 기존의 방법들은 잡음제거 및 에지 보존 성능이 미흡하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 효과적으로 잡음을 제거하기 위해 마스크 메디안 값의 여부에 따라 마스크 크기를 확대 시키는 변형된 적응 메디안 필터 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 그리고 시뮬레이션을 통해 기존의 방법들과 비교하였으며 판단의 기준으로 MSE(mean squared error)를 사용하였다.

  • 이 논문은 NFxLMS (normalized filtered-x least mean square) 적응 필터기반의 실시간 ANC (active noise control) 무선 헤드셋에 관해서 연구한다. RMS (root mean square) 지연 분포를 측정한 후 채널을 보정해서 학습시간을 줄이고, 학습 시간동안 NFxLMS 필터 계수를 갱신해서 잡음 제거 필터의 수렴속도를 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법을 실제 잡음 환경에서 이용할 경우에 짧은 학습 시간과 빠른 수렴속도를 가지면서 기존 잡음 제거기와 비슷한 성능을 가지는 잡음 제거기를 구성할 수 있다.

  • This paper proposes a noble voice recognition method based on an adaptive MFCC and deep learning for embedded systems. To enhance the recognition ratio of the proposed voice recognizer, ambient noise mixed into the voice signal has to be eliminated. However, noise filtering processes, which may damage voice data, diminishes the recognition ratio. In this paper, a filter has been designed for the frequency range within a voice signal, and imposed weights are used to reduce data deterioration. In addition, a deep learning algorithm, which does not require a database in the recognition algorithm, has been adapted for embedded systems, which inherently require small amounts of memory. The experimental results suggest that the proposed deep learning algorithm and HMM voice recognizer, utilizing the proposed adaptive MFCC algorithm, perform better than conventional MFCC algorithms in its recognition ratio within a noisy environment.

A Mixed Nonlinear Filter for Image Restoration under AWGN and Impulse Noise Environment

  • Image denoising is a key issue in all image processing researches. Generally, the quality of an image could be corrupted by a lot of noise due to the undesired conditions of image acquisition phase or during the transmission. Many approaches to image restoration are aimed at removing either Gaussian or impulse noise. Nevertheless, it is possible to find them operating on the same image, which is called mixed noise and it produces a hard damage. In this paper, we proposed noise type classification method and a mixed nonlinear filter for mixed noise suppression. The proposed filtering scheme applies a modified adaptive switching median filter to impulse noise suppression and an efficient nonlinear filer was carried out to remove Gaussian noise. The simulation results based on Matlab show that the proposed method can remove mixed Gaussian and impulse noise efficiently and it can preserve the integrity of edge and keep the detailed information.

  • In this paper, analysis of the noise induced by rotating machines and the mode analysis of a 3-dimensional enclosure are presented. Adaptive active noise control algorithms for the multi-channel case are proposed. Computer simulations were done to show usefulness of the designed algorithm in a 3-dimensional enclosure case.
