스프링백 관측기를 이용한 축교정기 개발 (Development of Shaft Straightening Machine with Springback Observer)

  • In order to compensate for out-of-straightness of shafts, an automatic straightening process composed of an automatic measuring module, an automatic control unit and operating softwares was developed with a hydraulic press. The out-of-sraightness of each shaft was measured automatically in the measuring stage. An optimal pressure point was determined to minimize TIR value of the shaft according to press count of 3-points bending process. In the geometric adaptive control procedure, punch stroke and springback of the shaft were predicted by an observer using on-line measured values of press force and deflection amount I each press count. An automatic straightening machine was realized with the measuring module, the GAC module, PLD, IBM-PC and the operating software on the hydraulic press. the validity of the proposed straightening process was confirmed through a series of experiments with cam shafts.

A Study on Real-time Control of Bead Height and Joint Tracking Using Laser Vision Sensor

  • There have been continuous efforts on automating welding processes. This automation process could be said to fall into two categories, weld seam tracking and weld quality evaluation. Recently, the attempts to achieve these two functions simultaneously are on the increase. For the study presented in this paper, a vision sensor is made, a vision system is constructed and using this, the 3 dimensional geometry of the bead is measured on-line. For the application as in welding, which is the characteristic of nonlinear process, a fuzzy controller is designed. And with this, an adaptive control system is proposed which acquires the bead height and the coordinates of the point on the bead along the horizontal fillet joint, performs seam tracking with those data, and also at the same time, controls the bead geometry to a uniform shape. A communication system, which enables the communication with the industrial robot, is designed to control the bead geometry and to track the weld seam. Experiments are made with varied offset angles from the pre-taught weld path, and they showed the adaptive system works favorable results.

부하 변동 공압계의 모델 기준 적응제어 (Model Reference Adaptive Control of the Pneumatic System with Load Variation)

  • In this paper, a model reference adaptive control (MRAC) scheme is applied for the precise and robust motion control of a pneumatic system with load variation. The reference model for MRAC is designed systematically using linear quadratic Gaussian control with loop transfer recovery (LQG/LTR). The sigmoid function of inverse velocity is used to compensate for the nonlinear friction force between the sliding parts. The experimental results show that MRAC effectively overcame the limit of the PID controller when there was unknown disturbance, including abrupt load variation and model uncertainty in the pneumatic control system.

  • 인은 자연계에서 부영양화 현상을 일으키는 주요한 인자로서 하수중의 인은 주로 인축적 미생물의 과잉섭취에 의해 제거된다. 이 연구의 목적은 인을 처리하는 하수처리공정을 제어하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 두가지의 제어방법을 응용하였으며 이 방법은 최적제어(Optimal control)와 적응제어(Adaptive control)이다. 우선 최적제어는 유입수중의 인농도를 측정한 이후에 간략화된 ASM No. 2 모델을 이용하여 유출수중의 인농도가 1.0 mg/L가 되는 포기시간을 산정하고 이 산정된 포기시간에 따라 반응조를 제어함으로써 이루어진다. 그런데 실제 반응조를 최적제어로 한 경우에도 실제 유출수중의 인농도는 1.0 mg/L가 되지 않는 경우가 발생한다. 이 때에는 적응제어로서 목표로 한 1.0 mg/L를 벗어난 만큼 목표농도를 변화시켜 주며 제어를 실시하였다. 약 한달간의 제어결과 유출수중의 인농도는 0.2$\sim$3.2 mg/L이었으며 평균은 1.0 mg/L로서 만족스러웠다. 연구수행중 하수처리공정에서 두 번에 걸쳐 인섭취가 제한되는 현상이 발생하였다. 이에 대한 원인을 규명한 결과 원인은 암모니아의 부족과 과다한 포기가 원인인 것으로 나타났다.

Design of an adaptive backstepping controller for auto-berthing a cruise ship under wind loads

  • The auto-berthing of a ship requires excellent control for safe accomplishment. Crabbing, which is the pure sway motion of a ship without surge velocity, can be used for this purpose. Crabbing is induced by a peculiar operation procedure known as the push-pull mode. When a ship is in the push-pull mode, an interacting force is induced by complex turbulent flow around the ship generated by the propellers and side thrusters. In this paper, three degrees of freedom equations of the motions of crabbing are derived. The equations are used to apply the adaptive backstepping control method to the auto-berthing controller of a cruise ship. The controller is capable of handling the system non-linearity and uncertainty of the berthing process. A control allocation algorithm for a ship equipped with two propellers and two side thrusters is also developed, the performance of which is validated by simulation of auto-berthing.

무추력 비행체를 대상으로 한 적응 통합 유도제어기 설계 (Integrated Guidance and Control Design Based on Adaptive Neural Network for Unpowered Air Vehicle)

  • The guidance controller of the conventional aircraft consists of inner-loop (autopilot) and outer-loop (guidance). If the guidance controller can be designed as an integrated guidance and control (IGC), the various advantages exist. The integrated guidance and control formulation can compensate for the effect of autopilot lag. An integrated approach also helps avoid the iterative procedure involved in tuning the guidance and autopilot subsystems, if designed separately. Integrated design is also less susceptible to saturation and stability problems. This paper presents an approach to IGC design for the unpowered air vehicle with the only flaperon using a combination of adaptive output feedback inversion and backstepping techniques. Adaptive neural networks are trained online with available measurements to compensate for unmodeled nonlinearities in the design process.

Improved Adaptive Neural Network Autopilot for Track-keeping Control of Ships: Design and Simulation

  • This paper presents an improved adaptive neural network autopilot based on our previous study for track-keeping control of ships. The proposed optimal neural network controller can automatically adapt its learning rate and number of iterations. Firstly, the track-keeping control system of ships is described For the track-keeping control task, a way-point based guidance system is applied To improve the track-keeping ability, the off-track distance caused by external disturbances is considered in learning process of neural network controller. The simulations of track-keeping performance are presented under the influence of sea current and wind as well as measurement noise. The toolbox for track-keeping simulation on Mercator chart is also introduced.

  • 본 연구에서는 ARSC의 이론적인 전개에 대해서 주로 설명하고자 한다. 제2 장에서는 ARSC의 구조를 자세히 기술하며, 제3장에 ARSC를 컴퓨터에 이식하기 위한 알 고리즘을 요약하여 제시한다. 또한, ARSC알고리즘이 총체적으로(globally) 수렴하며 안정하다는 이론적 증명에 대하여 제4장에서 언급하며, 마지막으로 제5장에 실시간 시 뮬레이션을 통하여 ARSC의 간단한 적용실례를 들었다. 실제로 본 ARSC는 엔드밀링의 절삭력 적응제어에 적용되었는데, 그 연구결과는 별도로 발표할 예정이다.

교통대응 신호제어전략의 평가를 위한 미시적 시뮬레이터의 원형 개발 (Development of a Micro-Simulator Prototype for Evaluating Adaptive Signal Control Strategies)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 일부지역에 운영중인 첨단신호제어시스템(COSMOS)의 효율성을 평가할 수 있는 미시적(microscopic), 모의실험기(simulator)의 원형(prototype)을 개발하였다. 이 모의실험기의 개발은 원형적인 형성을 목표로 차량의 이동방식과 모듈적용체계 그리고 첨단신호알고리즘 중 독립교차로 실시간제어의 기능을 개발모형의 범위로 하였으며 구체적인 개발 사항은 다음과 같다. 첫째로, 기본적인 차량진행 외에 부가적인 첨단신호기능을 수행하기 위해서 검지기 체계를 통한 자료수집 및 지역제어기 그리고 센터시스템의 알고리즘의 수행이 필요하므로, 미시적 시뮬레이터의 가장 큰 문제점인 연산속도의 문제는 더욱 대두된다. 따라서 이러한 점을 개선할 수 있도록 소프트웨어적인 측면에서 차량의 이동방식을 공간중심방식으로 구성하여 진행시킬 것과 링크별로 각 수행모듈을 합리적으로 적용하도록 제안하였다. 그리고 차량추종 및 차로변경의 모형의 적용을 포함한 링크의 이원화 적용 제안이 타당한지를 평가하기 위하여 NETSIM모형과 비교를 실시하였다. 둘째로, 이러한 모의실험기의 구조를 기초로 개별차량의 검지자료 수집과 매 주기마다 주기 및 녹색시간을 결정하는 독립교차로 실시간 제어 알고리즘의 구현으로 첨단신호제어의 전략을 평가할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 독자적인 모의실험기로 발전할 수 있도록 Animation 기능과 다양한 효과척도를 산출하여 종합적인 연구를 수행하였다.

On the Design of Simple-structured Adaptive Fuzzy Logic Controllers

  • One of the methods to simplify the design process for a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is to reduce the number of variables representing the rule antecedent. This in turn decreases the number of control rules, membership functions, and scaling factors. For this purpose, we designed a single-input FLC that uses a sole fuzzy input variable. However, it is still deficient in the capability of adapting some varying operating conditions although it provides a simple method for the design of FLC's. We here design two simple-structured adaptive fuzzy logic controllers (SAFLC's) using the concept of the single-input FLC. Linguistic fuzzy control rules are directly incorporated into the controller by a fuzzy basis function. Thus some parameters of the membership functions characterizing the linguistic terms of the fuzzy control rules can be adjusted by an adaptive law. In our controllers, center values of fuzzy sets are directly adjusted by an adaptive law. Two SAFLC's are designed. One of them uses a Hurwitz error dynamics and the other a switching function of the sliding mode control (SMC). We also prove that 1) their closed-loop systems are globally stable in the sense that all signals involved are bounded and 2) their tracking errors converge to zero asymptotically. We perform computer simulations using a nonlinear plant.
