멀티 에이전트를 위한 통신 프레임웍의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Communication Framework for Multi-Agents)

  • 최근에 들어와 그 응용분야가 확대되어 가고 있는 에이전트 소프트웨어는 점점 그 크기와 복잡성이 커져 감에 따라 소프트웨어 개발치 효율성을 필요로 하는 추세이다. 이에 따라 네트워크에 분산되고 이질적인 시스템에 존재하는 에이전트들은 자신의 정보를 효율적으로 교환할 수 있도록 하기 위해 통신 프레임웍을 필요로 하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크에 존재하고 동일한 환경 또는 서로 다른 환경에 존재하는 에이전트들 간의 의사 소통을 위한 통신 프레임웍의 설계 및 구현을 제시한다. 기본적으로 에이전트 소프트웨어 아키텍처는 KRIL(KQML- Router Interface Labrary), Router, Facilitator로 구성되어 진다. 같은 호스트에 존재하는 에이전트들은 같은 주소를 가지기 때문에 각기 다른 Router를 가질 필요 없이 하나의 Router를 공유한다. Router는 로컬 호스트에 존재하는 에이전트들의 리스트를 유지 관리하며, 로컬 에이전트가 보낸 메시지의 수신자가 자신의 리스트에 없을 경우 Facilitator를 통해 다른 호스트에 존재하는 에이전트에 메시지를 전달한다. 서로 다른 환경에 존재하는 에이전트들 간의 통신과 스레드 관리, 병행처리와 동기화 등을 위해 KRIL은 ACE(The Adaptive Communication Environment) 라이브러리를 사용하였으며, Router와 Facilitator는 Java로 구현하였다.

동영상 통신을 위한 적응 비트율 제어 (Adaptive rate control for video communication)

  • 본 논문은 동영상 통신을 함에 있어 목표 전송률이 주어졌을 때 왜곡이 최소가 되도록 양자화하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법을 이용하게 되면 같은 발생 비트량이라 할지라도 기존의 R-D 모델기반 비트율 제어 방법에 비해 재구성된 영상의 화질을 향상시킬 수 있다. 문제는 하나의 양자화 집합이 주어졌을 때 전체 왜곡이 최소가 되고 버퍼 오버플로우가 발생하지 않은범위 내에서 매크로 블록 당 양자화 집합에 존재하는 최적의 양자화 계수를 선택하려는 것인데, 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 동작 왜곡 비트율 이론을 이용한 라그랑즈 승수 기법을 도입하였으며, 양자화 방법은 H.263의 권고를 따랐다.

Efficient wind fragility analysis of RC high rise building through metamodelling

  • This paper deals with wind fragility and risk analysis of high rise buildings subjected to stochastic wind load. Conventionally, such problems are dealt in full Monte Carlo Simulation framework, which requires extensive computational time. Thus, to make the procedure computationally efficient, application of metamodelling technique in fragility analysis is explored in the present study. Since, accuracy by the conventional Least Squares Method (LSM) based metamodelling is often challenged, an efficient Moving Least Squares Method based adaptive metamodelling technique is proposed for wind fragility analysis. In doing so, artificial time history of wind load is generated by three wind field models: i.e., a simple one based on alongwind component of wind speed; a more detailed one considering coherence and wind directionality effect, and a third one considering nonstationary effect of mean wind. The results show that the proposed approach is more accurate than the conventional LSM based metamodelling approach when compared to full simulation approach as reference. At the same time, the proposed approach drastically reduces computational time in comparison to the full simulation approach. The results by the three wind field models are compared. The importance of non-linear structural analysis in fragility evaluation has been also demonstrated.

비선형 시스템에서의 백스테핑 기법을 이용한 새로운 퍼지 외란 관측기 설계 (Novel Fuzzy Disturbance Observer based on Backstepping Method For Nonlinear Systems)

  • 본 논문은 불특정한 외란을 가진 비선형 시스템에서의 백스태핑 기법을 이용한 새로운 퍼지 외란 관측가 설계 방법을 제안한다. 먼저, 퍼지 논리 시스템을 이용하여 불특정한 외란을 관측하기 위한 관측 입력을 가진 퍼지 외란 관측기를 설계한다. 제안된 외란 관측기가 불특정한 외란을 관측하는 것을 증명하기 위해 와란 관측 오차 시스템을 도입한다. 백스태핑 기법을 도입하여 각 단계에서의 퍼지 외란 관측기의 파라마터 적응 규칙과 외란 관측기의 관측 입력을 유도하고 외란 오차 시스템의 안정성을 증명한다. 제안된 외란 관측기의 명확성을 증명하기 위해서 모의 실험 예제들을 제공한다.

A new visual tracking approach based on salp swarm algorithm for abrupt motion tracking

  • Salp Swarm Algorithm (SSA) is a new nature-inspired swarm optimization algorithm that mimics the swarming behavior of salps navigating and foraging in the oceans. SSA has been proved to enable to avoid local optima and enhance convergence speed benefiting from the adaptive nonlinear mechanism and salp chains. In this paper, visual tracking is considered to be a process of locating the optimal position through the interaction between leaders and followers in successive images. A novel SSA-based tracking framework is proposed and the analysis and adjustment of parameters are discussed experimentally. Besides, the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis are performed to demonstrate the tracking effect of our proposed approach by comparing with ten classical tracking algorithms. Extensive comparative experimental results show that our algorithm has good performance in visual tracking, especially for abrupt motion tracking.

Adaptable I/O System based I/O Reduction for Improving the Performance of HDFS

  • In this paper, we propose a new HDFS-AIO framework to enhance HDFS with Adaptive I/O System (ADIOS), which supports many different I/O methods and enables applications to select optimal I/O routines for a particular platform without source-code modification and re-compilation. First, we customize ADIOS into a chunk-based storage system so its API semantics can fit the requirement of HDFS easily; then, we utilize Java Native Interface (JNI) to bridge HDFS and the tailored ADIOS. We use different I/O patterns to compare HDFS-AIO and the original HDFS, and the experimental results show the design feasibility and benefits. We also examine the performance of HDFS-AIO using various I/O techniques. There have been many studies that use ADIOS, however our research is expected to help in expanding the function of HDFS.

DCT and Homomorphic Encryption based Watermarking Scheme in Buyer-seller Watermarking Protocol

  • Buyer-seller watermarking protocol is defined as the practice of imperceptible altering a digital content to embed a message using watermarking in the encryption domain. This protocol is acknowledged as one kind of copyright protection techniques in electronic commerce. Buyer-seller watermarking protocol is fundamentally based on public-key cryptosystem that is operating using the algebraic property of an integer. However, in general usage, digital contents which are handled in watermarking scheme mostly exist as real numbers in frequency domain through DCT, DFT, DWT, etc. Therefore, in order to use the watermarking scheme in a cryptographic protocol, digital contents that exist as real number must be transformed into integer type through preprocessing beforehand. In this paper, we presented a new watermarking scheme in an encrypted domain in an image that is based on the block-DCT framework and homomorphic encryption method for buyer-seller watermarking protocol. We applied integral-processing in order to modify the decimal layer. And we designed a direction-adaptive watermarking scheme by analyzing distribution property of the frequency coefficients in a block using JND threshold. From the experimental results, the proposed scheme was confirmed to have a good robustness and invisibility.

유비쿼터스 멀티미디어 응용을 위한 그리드 시스템의 서비스 플랫폼 (Service Platform of Grid Systems for Ubiquitous Multimedia Applications)

  • 무선 통신의 발전으로 인하여 PDA, 휴대전화 등의 이동기기를 위한 멀티미디어 서비스의 개발 또한 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 이러한 모바일 멀티미디어 서비스의 개발에는 모바일 컴퓨팅의 요구조건을 효율적으로 제어할 수 있는 플랫폼이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 무선 통신의 잦은 통신단절과 모바일 디바이스의 시스템 자원부족에 대응하기 위하여 모바일 에이전트 기반의 그리드 시스템을 사용하는 적응형 서비스 플랫폼을 제시하고, 서비스 플랫폼의 활용예로 모바일 원격 교육 또는 화상 회의에 사용되는 RtoA (Ready-to-Attend) 프레임워크를 구성하였다. RtoA는 사용자들에게 원활한 유비쿼터스 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 그리드 시스템을 이용한 핸드오프, 스피커, 리스너 서비스를 제공한다. ns-2를 이용한 성능평가의 결과 RtoA는 모바일 디바이스의 에너지 소모량을 줄이고, 응답시간을 향상시키는데 효율적임이 증명되었다.

Dynamics Identification and Robust Control Performance Evaluation of Towing Rope under Rope Length Variation

  • Lately, tugboats are widely used to maneuver vessels by pushing or towing them where tugboats use rope. In order to correctly control the motion of tugboat and towed vessel, the dynamics of the towline would be well identified. In real application environment, the towing rope length changes and the towing load is not constant due to the various sizes of towed vessel. And there are many ropes made by many types of materials. It means that it is not easy to obtain rope dynamics, such that it is too difficult to satisfy the given control purpose by designing control system. Thus real time identification or adaptive control system design method may be a solution. However it is necessary to secure sufficient information about rope dynamics to obtain desirable control performance. In this paper, the authors try to have several rope dynamic models by changing the rope length to consider real application conditions. Among them, a representative model is selected and the others are considered as uncertain models which are considered in control system design. The authors design a robust control to cope with strong uncertain and nonlinear property included in the real plant. The designed control system based on robust control framework is evaluated by simulation.

압전 작동기를 이용한 유체 유기 진동의 능동 제어 (Active Control of Flow-Induced Vibration Using Piezoelectric Actuators)

  • This paper presents some examples of active control of flow-induced vibration using piezoelectric actuators. The flutter phenomenon, which is the dynamic instability of structure due to mutual interaction among inertia, stiffness, and aerodynamic forces, may cause catastrophic structural failure, and therefore the active flutter suppression is one of the main objectives of the aeroelastic control. Active flutter control has been numerically and experimentally studied for swept-back lifting surfaces using piezoelectric actuation. A finite element method, a panel aerodynamic method, and the minimum state space realization are involved in the development of the governing equation, which is efficiently used for the analysis of the system and design of control laws with modern control framework. The active control suppressed flow-induced vibrations and extended the flutter speed around by 10%. Another representative flow-induced vibration phenomenon is the oscillation of blunt bodies due to the vortex shedding. In general, it is quite difficult to set up the numerical model because of the strong non-linearity of the vortex shedding structure. Therefore, we applied adaptive positive position feedback controller, which requires no pre-determined model of the plant, and successfully suppressed the flow-induced vibration.
