Experimental studies were done to research the clinical effects of Juglandis Semen aqua-acupuncture and acupuncture(BL13, BL17, BL13ㆍ17 and free points) on the anti-allergic inflammation response. The following results have been obtained ; JSAA was increased in the lymphocyte proliferation in cultured murine thymocytes and splenocytes. The production of IL-1β was decreased in Juglandis Semen aqua-acupuncture and acupuncture(BL13, BL17 and BL13ㆍ17) group. The production of IL-4 was decreased in Juglandis Semen aqua-acupuncture and acupuncture(BL13, BL17 and BL13ㆍ17) group. The production of total IgG was decreased in Juglandis Semen aqua-acupuncture(BL13 and BL13ㆍ17) and acupuncture(BL13, BL17 and BL13ㆍ17) group. According to the above results, Semen aqua-acupuncture and acupuncture(BL13, BL17 and BL13ㆍ17) both enhances the specific immune response in T and B cells and depress the allergic inflammation reaction.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) is a psychiatric disorder, characterized by the primary symptoms of inattention and/or impulsivity and hyperactivity. This study is a clinical report of 1 ADHD child treated witb typical Oriental Medical Tberapy(Herb-med, acupunture, etc,) in Combination with Neurofeedback. Conner's parent rating scale, ADHD Diagnostic System were compared between before and after treatment. The results show the typical Oriental Medical Tberapy in Combination with Neurofeedback is efficient in the treatment of ADHD.

The purpose of this study was to estimate skin care effect of Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture with the facial skin photographing system and ultrasonography. 4 Patients who made first visits to Daegu Oriental Hospital of Daegu Hanny University from August 7, 2009 to August 12, 2009 were each given five-times treatments of Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupunture. The facial skin photography of each participant was checked two times-pretreatment, posttreatment-using the facial skin photographing system and ultrasonography. The squares and counts of 2parts of facial winkles and thickness of masseter muscle were measured for each one. The squares and counts of facial wrinkles were decreased. The thickness of masseter muscle were decreased. On this study, we could evaluate the wrinkle treatment effects and reduction of masseter muscle of Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture by an objective method. Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture has notable effect in wrinkle treatment and reduction of masseter muscle. As though we had not wide experience in this treatment, more research is needed.

Induction of phase II enzymes such as quinone reductase (QR) and glutathione S-transferase (GST) is considered a major mechanism of protection against initiation of carcinogenesis. The present study was performed to evaluate the chemopreventive activity of Acori Graminei Rhizoma aqua-acupuncture solution (AGRAS) and Acori Graminei Rhizoma water-extracted solution (AGRWS) by measuring the induction of phase II enzymes. AGRAS and AGRWS are potent inducers of quinone reductase activity in murine hepatoma Hepa1c1c7 cells. The levels of GSH and GST was increased sightly with AGRAS and AGRWS. These results suggest that AGRAS and AGRWS may act as blocking agents against carcinogenesis by induction of phase II enzymes.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the patient with peripheral neuropathy, who improved by Oriental medical treatment. Methods : The patient was managed by acupuncture, moxibustion, physical treatment and herbal medicine. We checked digital infrared thermographic imaging(D.I.T.I.), electromyography(E.M.G.), nerve conduction velocity(N.C.V.), deep tendon reflex(D.T.R.), sensory recover area and range of motion(R.O.M.) of knee & ankle. Results : After 6 week treatment, clinical sign(the movement and sense of leg) of improvement was appeared. Also E.M.G., N.C.V., D.T.R. and D.I.T.I. was recovered to nearly normal range. Conclusion : The results suggest that combination of acupunture, moxibustion and herbal medicine is good method for treatment of peripheral neuropathy. But further studies may be required to concretely prove the effectiveness of this methods for treating peripheral neuropathy.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to report the effect of Oriental medicine on spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee. Methods Patients received Oriental treatment such as Bee-Venom therapy and acupuncture & moxibustion. The improvement of the pain intensity and recovery of gait was observed. Results During five weeks of treatment, patient's knee pain and gait disturbance were improved. Conclusions In this case, Oriental treatment on spontaneous osteonecrosis was effective to reduce pain and recover gait.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of hominis placenta herbal aupuncture therapy on the postpartum women's heat feeling, sweat and thirst. Methods: The subjects were 25 women who admitted for postpartum treatment in Hospital of Woosuk University from 15th November 2008 to 5th February 2010. The control group(normal saline group, NSG) were 12 women and hominis placenta herbal acupunture treatment group(HPAG) were 13 women. We injected at Kwanwon(CV4), Sinsu(BL23). We checked VAS(heat feeling, sweat and thirst), vital sign, wrong response. We tested CBC, 7-zone-diagnostic system, HRV before and after clinical study. Results: VAS of thirst was significantly decresed in the HPAG than NSG. Ln(LF) of HPAG was lower than NSG after clinical study. Conclusion: The results suggest that hominis placenta herbal aupuncture therapy may be useful for the postpartum women.

Object : The purpose of this study is to report vomiting patient with medullary infarction, who improved by additional Kwan-Won herbal acupuncture. Method : We have treated the patient with Kwan-Won acupuncture and other Oriental Medical treatment. The effect was and evaluated by progress of symtoms and Mcgill Nausea Question(MNQ) that consists of Nausea Rating Index(NRI), Overall Nausea Index(ONI) and Visual Anlogue Scale(VAS). Result : After 6th times of treatment, nausea and vomiting was disappeared. In the score of MNQ, NRI score changed from 19 to 1, ORI score from 5 to 1 and VAS score from 10 to 0. Conclusion : These results suggest that Kwan-Won herbal acupuncture and other Oriental Medical treatment have good effect on severe vomiting. But further studies are required.

Objetives : This study was done to evaluate the antiallegic effect of medicinal acupuncture solution of Acanthopanax senticosus(Rupr. et Maxim;abbreviated as ASMA), studies were done experimentally. Methods : For this aim MTT assay, anaphylaxis reaction, DTH, histamine release, IgE production and vascular permability was evaluated. Results : ASMA didn't show an effective cytotoxicity on the mouse lung fibroblast. It insignifcantly suppressed histamine release from mast cells induced by compound 48/80, while it significantly reduced IgE production and SRBC-challenged DTH(Delayed type hypersensitivity). ASMA effectively suppressed anaphylactic reaction induced by compound 48/80. However, it didn't inhibit vascular permeability and contact dermatitis significantly. Conclusion:Medicinal acupucture solution had antialletgic effects. Acanthopanax senticosus medical acupuncture depress the allergy reaction. Especially in anaphylactic type, the effect was good.

Objective : The study has been performed to evaluate the effect of treatment for pain control of Plantar faciitis patients by using Deer antlar Herbal Acupuncture. Methods : This clinical study was carried out 3 cases with gout, who had been admitted from March, 2004 to Aug, 2004, in the department of acupunture and moxibustion, Dongguk University Oriental Medical Hospital. We treated the patients who were diagnosed as clinical manifestation. Results : There was remarkable improvement in condition of the patient treated by Herbal Acupuncture. Conclusions : There were reports about Herbal Acupuncture Treatment of Pantient with Plantar faciitis. It is very effective to reduce the pain and shortening the period of therapy.
