전자기력 제어를 이용한 6 자유도 초정밀 스테이지 (Six D.O.F Ultra Fine Stage using Electromagnetic Force Control)

  • In recent year, desire and request fer micro automation are growing rapidly covering the whole range of the industry. This has been caused mainly by request of more accurate manufacturing process due to a higher density of integrated circuits in semiconductor industry. This paper presents a six d.o.f fine motion stage using magnetic levitation technique, which is one of actuating techniques that have the potential for achieving such a micro motion. There is no limit in motion resolution theoretically that the magnetically levitated part over a fixed stator can realize. In addition, it Is possible to manipulate the position and the force of the moving part at the same time. Then, the magnetic levitation technique is chosen into the actuating method. However, we discuss issues of design, kinematics, dynamics, and control of the proposed system. And a few experimental results fur step input are given.

Optimal Shape Design of Magnetic Actuators for Magnetic and Dynamic Characteristic Improvement

  • This study introduces a new topology optimization scheme combing the genetic algorithm (GA) with the on/off sensitivity method for the magnetic actuator core and the armature design. The design process intended to maximize the first eigen-frequency of the armature part and the magnetic actuating force acting on the armature simultaneously. GA based optimal design was carried out to obtain the initial structure and the modified on/off sensitivity method was succeeded to accelerate the design process. Final results show tens of percent improvement in actuating force as well as the first eigen-frequency of the armature.

다양한 동작신호의 사용에 따른 연동형 마이크로 펌프의 성능 향상 (Performance Improvement of Peristaltic Micropump Using Various Actuating Signal)

  • This paper described the development of electrostatically driven peristaltic micropump. The proposed micropump consists of a flexible membrane and a single chamber which electrodes are inserted. The single chamber is divided into smaller cells by the electrodes. The fabricated micropump was operated with four electrodes in the membrane and a various phase sequencing actuation. We studied the changes in the flow rate corresponding to the actuating signal applied to the micropump under the zero hydraulic pressure difference between lnlet port and outlet port. The pump was operated from 60 to 130 V. Whereas the maximum flow rate in basic actuating signal is about 83 ${\mu}1/min$ at 15 Hz, the maximum flow rate in optimized actuating signal is about 114 ${\mu}l/min$ at 10 Hz.

  • This paper addresses the results of an experimental and analytical research of cylindrical coil spring subjected to dynamic behavior. Transfer functions are presented for both deflection and transmitted force as the output with force as the input. Steady state sinusoidal magnitude ratio and transmittance are plotted along with experimental data. It is shown that dynamic characteristic of cylindrical coil spring must be used to enhance the reability of vibration system dynamic behavior analysis in actuating over some frequency.

계단형상에 의한 스풀밸브의 유동력 보상 (Flow force compensation by stepped spool)

  • This paper is on the study of flow force compensating method of spool type valve. A simple flow force compensating method using stepped spool is presented in this paper. It is easy to manufacture stepped spool in the presented method because the shape of it is simple. The method has the merit that the size of valve need not be increased. Actuating force required for driving means of spool can be decreased by the compensation of flow force. The effect of presented method is predicted through CFD analysis. The prototypes of flow force compensating Direct Drive Servo-Valve where the result of CFD analysis is reflected are manufactured, and the measurement of flow force is carried out. It is known from the measurement that the effect of flow force compensation is very similar to from CFD analysis.

  • The hydraulic cylinder is used for actuating a sluice gate which controls the volume of water in the reservoir. Generally, the one cylinder type is used to operate the sluice gate. In order to reduce the required cylinder force to operate the sluice gate significantly, the sequentially operated-hydraulic cylinders type is designed and the optimal locating points of cylinders are searched using the complex method that is one kind of constrained direct search method.

  • This paper presents dynamic characteristics of a new actuator using magneto-rheological(MR) fluid between two electrode type coils. The concept of the actuator is to strengthen the force due to the magnetic field produced by the electrode-coil for MR fluid. The amount and direction of current input to the electrode-coils decide the characteristics of contraction-mode and extension-mode. For achieving the required actuating displacement and actuating force, the yield stress of the MR fluid between two electrode-coils is precisely changed by the input current. In this work, the MR fluid is operated in squeeze mode. The experimental results shown in this paper depict that it can be applied in the micro-level displacement and vibration control system.

래디알 동전기 휠의 다축력 특성 (Multi-axial Force Characteristics of Radial Electrodynamic Wheel)

  • The rotating electrodynamic wheel over a conductive plate produces thrust force as well as normal force. Specially, separating the conductive plate and spacing apart each part, the lateral stability of the rotating wheel is guaranteed due to the restoring force into neutral position. In this paper, the force characteristics of the electrodynamic wheel rotating over the conductive plate is analyzed using the finite element tool. First, the dominant parameters are identified considering the geometric configuration and the operating condition. And the sensitivity for the parameter deviation is quantified for the high force density. The above topology can be applied as an actuating principle for inter-city train as well as contact-free transfer device.

  • Active suspension controls stiffness and damping between unsprung mass and sprung mass in order to increase the ride quality. However, to increase the riding quality, the handling quality should be decreased and the rattle space should be increased. So, active suspension should cope with these conflict conditions. Therefore its actuating devices have to produce sufficient actuating force and have sufficiently short response time. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of 1/4 car model with an active suspension is studied according to hydraulic design variables. The active suspension consists of a hydraulic servo valve and a hydraulic cylinder. It shows better performance when it has more powerful and faster actuator.
