The Effect of Action Observation Training on Balance and Cognition on the Elderly with Dementia

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of action observation training (AOT) on the balance and cognition of the elderly with dementia. Methods: Twenty-four participants were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups (12 participants each). The 5-week intervention involved 45 minutes sessions, three times a week. Both groups did 30 minutes of general physical exercises, followed by the experimental group watching a 5 minutes video featuring functional movements and imitating them for 10 minutes. The control group watched a scenic video and did functional training for 10 minutes, mimicking the experimental group. All participants were evaluated using the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, Functional Reaching Test (FRT), Berg's Balance Scale (BBS), and Korean version of Mini-Mental State Examination (K-MMSE) before and after the intervention. A paired t-test was conducted to compare the within-group change before and after the intervention. Two-way repeated measures ANOVA was performed to compare the between-group difference. The statistical significance level was set to p=0.05 for all variables. Results: The experimental group showed significant within-group changes in the TUG test, FRT, BBS, and K-MMSE (p<0.05). The control group showed a significant change in FRT and K-MMSE (p<0.05). A significant difference was observed between the experimental group and the control group regarding the change in the TUG test, BBS, and K-MMSE after the interventions (p<0.05). Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that the AOT and repetition of actual movements, led to more significant improvements in balance and cognitive abilities compared to the control group that observed scenic landscapes.

카메룬의 직업훈련교사 양성을 위한 국립직업훈련교육원의 시범연수 성과 검토에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Review of the NIVTPD for Vocational Training Teachers Training System in Cameroon)

  • 카메룬 유일의 직업훈련교사 자격 훈련기관인 '카메룬 국립직업훈련교육원(NIVTPD)'의 설립을 위해 본 연구진은 NIVTPD의 마스터 교사들을 대상으로 교과과정 개발법, 교재 개발 방법 및 개발, 강의전략 수립법 및 강의지도서 작성, 강의계획 및 계획서 작성, 강의안 작성법 등의 역량 강화 훈련을 하였다. 또한 시범연수를 통해 실 강의까지 해봄으로써 실제 NIVTPD의 운영에 대비하였다. 이 논문은 NIVTPD에서의 훈련을 통해 얻은 내용이 강의실 수업 성과에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위해 두 가지 다른 설문 조사(기초선 및 종료 선 조사)와 두 가지 다른 시험(진입 레벨 테스트(Pretest) 및 성취 수준 시험(Posttest))를 실시한 결과와 그에 따른 분석 결과를 포함한다. 설문 조사 결과는 직업훈련 인터페이스의 현재 상황을 파악하고 커리큘럼을 통합, 수정 및 개선하여 NIVTPD의 교육 프로그램을 개선하는 데 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 또한 시험 결과는 직업훈련교사의 교육학적 지식 수준을 파악하고 향후 자격을 수여하기 위한 지표로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

순환골재의 pH에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the pH of Recycled Aggregate)

  • 본 연구에서는 순환골재 용출수의 pH가 실제 환경에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 기존 순환골재 pH 측정방법 중 용매의 종류, 용출시간, 순환골재 크기에 따라 다양한 방법으로 평가하였다. 또한 순환골재가 현장에 재활용 되었을 때를 가정하여 토양에 의한 pH 완충능력을 평가하였고, 현장재현 모형시험을 통해 순환골재 pH가 실제 하천환경에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 순환골재에 의한 pH의 오염도는 자연계에서의 실제 오염농도와는 차이가 있음을 확인하였으며, 특히 실제 현장에서 토양층의 확보가 이뤄진다면 토양의 자연정화 능력에 의해 환경에 미치는 영향은 작을 것으로 평가되었다. 또한 순환골재로부터 발생하는 알칼리성의 pH 유출수가 유입되더라도 하천의 자정능력에 의해 pH 영향은 거의 없는 것으로 평가되었다.

침지형 황 탈질 모듈을 이용한 고속의 질소제거 (High-Rate Nitrogen Removal using a Submerged Module of Sulfur-Utilizing Denitrification)

  • This study aims to develop a sulfur-using denitrification process which is possible a renovation to advanced treatment plant submerging a simple module in activated sludge aeration tank. At first, the impact factor of sulfur-using denitrification was appreciated by the batch test. Secondly, reflecting a dissolved oxygen effect of sulfur-using denitrification that was confirmed by the batch test, in a continuous nitrification/sulfur-using denitrification, high-rate nitrogen removal reaction was induced at optimum condition controlling DO concentration according to phases. Also, inside and outside of sulfur-using denitrification module was covered with microfilter and the module was considered as an alternative of clarifier. Result of batch test for sulfur-using denitrification, $NO_2{^-}N$ was lower for consumption of alkalinity and sulfur than that of $NO_3{^-}-N$. These results revealed the accordance of theoretical prediction. In continuous nitrification/sulfur-using denitrification experiment, actual wastewater was used as a influent, and influent nitrogen loading rates were increased 0.04, 0.07, 0.11, $0.14kg\;N/m^3-day$ by changing hydraulic retention times. At this time, nitrogen loading rates of packed sulfur were increased 0.23, 0.46, 0.69, $0.93kg\;N/m^3-day$. As a result, nitrification efficiency was about 100% and denitrification efficiency was 93, 81, 79, 72%. Accordingly, nitrogen removal was a high-rate. Also the module of sulfur-using denitrification covered with microfilter did not make a fouling phenomena according to increased flux. And the module was achieved effluent suspended solids of below 10 mg/L without a clarifier. In conclusion, it is possible a renovation to advanced treatment plant submerging a simple module packed sulfur in activated sludge aeration tank of traditional facilities. And the plant used the module packed sulfur is expected as a effective facilities of high-rate and the smallest.

프로니 분석을 이용한 주행 환경에서의 브레이크 래틀 소음 발생 특성 분석 (Signal Processing for MoC Brake Rattle Noise of Moving Vehicles Using Prony Analysis)

  • MoC(motor on caliper)를 이용한 자동차 브레이크 시스템이 장착되었을 때 도로 조건에 의해 발생하는 진동으로 래틀 소음 발생 가능성을 검증하기 위하여, 무향실에서 가진기(quiet shaker)를 이용하여 차량상태와 동일한 진동을 인가하면서 소음을 동시에 측정하여 실제 운행 중에 발생하는 MoC 래틀 소음을 재현하였다. 소음 발생 조건 및 원인을 파악하는 신호 처리 방법을 제안하였다. 원리 시험을 통해서 충돌되는 두 부품 간의 고유 진동수를 확인하고, 소음이 발생할 때의 음압/진동 신호의 임팩트성 소음에 대해 주파수 성분을 분석하여 소음 발생 빈도에 영향을 줄 수 있는 인자를 찾는 방법을 제안하였다. 더불어 래틀 소음을 분석하기 위한 FFT 주파수 분석을 실시하고 장단점을 분석하였으며, 단점을 보완하기 위한 프로니 분석 방법에 대해서 실제 두 가지 다른 브레이크 시스템의 내구 테스트 결과에 적용하여 효율성을 입증하였다.

항만건설을 위한 케이슨 들고리의 안전성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety of Lifting Cable for Construction of Coastal Structures)

  • 본 논문은 케이슨의 인양작업중 Fitting Anchor의 취성파괴로 인한 들고리의 붕괴원인을 조사하기 위한 실험적 연구이다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 응력해석을 통하여 들고리의 붕괴메카니즘을 분석하고 이를 실제 붕괴과정과 비교한다. 본 연구에서는 파괴된 강재에 대한 파면해석 뿐만아니라 화학성분시험, 인장시험 및 샤르피 V-노치 충격시험을 실시한다. 그리고 이의 시험 결과를 정상적인 강재에 대한 시험결과와 비교한다. 본 연구의 거시적, 미시적인 방법으로 결함을 관찰한 결과, Fitting Anchor 내부에 원주방향으로 나타난 표면결함은 케이슨의 진수시 발생하는 들고리의 인장응력이 작용하기 전에 발생한 것임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 균열선단의 응력집중이 발생하여 작용응력보다 큰 응력이 결함에 발생한 것임을 알 수 있다. 또한, 잠재한 결함의 크기가 임계값 이상으로 증가하여 본 연구대상 강재의 응력확대계수가 증가하였을 것으로 판단된다. 그래서 균열선단의 응력확대계수가 본 강재의 파괴인성보다 크게 되어 케이슨의 인양작업중에 취성파괴를 일으킨 것으로 사료된다. 본 연구결과에 따르면 케이슨 들고리의 붕괴는 Fitting Anchor의 취성파괴로 발생한 것으로 사료된다.

Study of cracks in compressed concrete specimens with a notch and two neighboring holes

  • This paper investigated computationally and experimentally the interaction here between a notch as well as a micropore under uniaxial compression. Brazilian tensile strength, uniaxial tensile strength, as well as biaxial tensile strength are used to calibrate PFC2d at first. Then, uniaxial compression test was conducted which they included internal notch and micro pore. Experimental and numerical building of 9 models including notch and micro pore were conducted. Model dimensions of models are 10 cm × 10 cm × 5 cm. Joint length was 2 cm. Joints angles were 30°, 45° and 60°. The position of micro pore for all joint angles was 2cm upper than top of the joint, 2 cm upper than middle of joint and 2 cm upper than the joint lower tip, discreetly. The numerical model's dimensions were 5.4 cm × 10.8 cm. The fractures were 2 cm in length and had angularities of 30, 45, and 60 degrees. The pore had a diameter of 1 cm and was located at the top of the notch, 2 cm above the top, 2 cm above the middle, and 2 cm above the bottom tip of the joint. The uniaxial compression strength of the model material was 10 MPa. The local damping ratio was 0.7. At 0.016 mm per second, it loaded. The results show that failure pattern affects uniaxial compressive strength whereas notch orientation and pore condition impact failure pattern. From the notch tips, a two-wing fracture spreads almost parallel to the usual load until it unites with the sample edge. Additionally, two wing fractures start at the hole. Both of these cracks join the sample edge and one of them joins the notch. The number of wing cracks increased as the joint angle rose. There aren't many AE effects in the early phases of loading, but they quickly build up until the applied stress reaches its maximum. Each stress decrease was also followed by several AE effects. By raising the joint angularities from 30° to 60°, uniaxial strength was reduced. The failure strengths in both the numerical simulation and the actual test are quite similar.

적층각이 다른 CFRP/Al 혼성 원형부재의 충돌안전성능 평가 (Evaluation to Collision Safety Performance of Stacking Angle Different CFRP/Al Circular Member)

  • The actual condition is that environmental pollution due to the development of various industries has recently become a serious issue. An interest in improving the gas mileage is rising due to an increase in the number of vehicles in the era of high oil price in particular. In order to solve this problem, priority should be given to light-weight design of car body, However, at present, a design method enabling the conventional steel plate to be replaced is direly needed in order to guarantee passengers' safety according to excessive light-weight design of car body. In this study, in order to apply a design method that could realize fuel savings and environmental pollution prevention through an improvement in gas mileage together with meeting the safety requirements for vehicles, it was supposed that CFRP/Al composites member would be used as primary structural member. And to this end, it was intended to obtain optimum design data by experimentally implementing external impulsive load applied to the car body. According to results of impact test of CFRP/Al composites member, a collapsed shape of folding, crack, and bending occurred. So, it was possible to find that energy was observed. And in case of specimen having an angle of $90^{\circ}$ in the outermost layer and stack sequence of $[90^{\circ}{_2}/0^{\circ}2]s$, its collapsed length was shown to be short. Therefore, it was possible to find that the absorbed energy was shown to be higher by 20% or above at the maximum.

리더-부하간 교환관계(LMX)가 정서적 몰입과 근속적 몰입에 미치는 영향: 직무스트레스의 매개효과를 중심으로 (Effect of Leader-member Exchange on Affective Commitment and Continuance Commitment: The Mediating Role of Job Stress)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 리더-부하간 교환관계(LMX)가 조직구성원들의 정서적 몰입과 근속적 몰입에 미치는 영향을 직무스트레스의 매개효과를 중심으로 규명하는데 있다. 관련이론과 선행연구들을 기초로 하여 연구 모형과 가설들이 설정되어졌으며, 18개 회사 총 482명으로부터 획득한 데이터를 가지고 구조방정식 모형을 활용해 가설들을 검증하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 리더-부하간 교환관계는 조직구성원들의 직무스트레스에 대하여 유의미한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 조직구성원들의 정서적 몰입과 근속적 몰입에 대하여 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 리더-부하간 교환관계와 조직구성원들의 정서적 몰입와의 관계에 있어서 직무스트레스는 부분매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났지만, 리더-부하간 교환관계와 근속적 몰입과의 관계에 있어서는 직무스트레스가 매개역할을 하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

Study on critical buckling load calculation method of piles considering passive and active earth pressure

  • Different types of long slender pile shall buckle with weak soil and liquefied stratum surrounded. Different from considering single side earth pressure, it was suggested that the lateral earth pressure can be divided into two categories while buckling: the earth pressure that prevent and promotes the lateral movement. Active and passive earth pressure calculation model was proposed supposing earth pressure changed linearly with displacement considering overlying load, shaft resistance, earth pressure at both sides of the pile. Critical buckling load calculation method was proposed based on the principle of minimum potential energy quoting the earth pressure calculation model. The calculation result was contrasted with the field test result of small diameter TC pile (Plastic Tube Cast-in-place pile). The fix form could be fixed-hinged in the actual calculation assuring the accuracy and certain safety factor. The contributions of pile fix form depend on the pile length for the same geological conditions. There exists critical friction value in specific geological conditions that the side friction has larger impact on the critical buckling load while it is less than the value and has less impact with larger value. The buckling load was not simply changed linearly with friction. The buckling load decreases with increased limit active displacement and the load tend to be constant with larger active displacement value; the critical buckling load will be the same for different fix form for the small values.
