FanDAS-CFX 결합을 통한 고효율-저소음 축류 송풍기의 개발 (Development of a High-efficiency and Low-noise Axial Flow Fan through Combining FanDAS and CFX codes)

  • High-efficiency and low-noise axial flow fan is developed by combining the FanDAS, a computerized axial fan design/performance analysis system, and CFD software(CFX). Based on fan design requirements, FanDAS conducts 3-D blade geometry design, quasi-3D flow/ performance analyses and noise evaluation by using through-flow analysis method and noise models for discrete frequency and broadband noise sources. Through the parametric studies of fan design variables using FandDAS, preliminary and baseline design is achieved for high efficiency and low noise fan, and then can be coupled with a CFD technique such as the CFX code for constructing final and optimized fan design. The FanDAS-CFX coupled system and its design procedure are applied to actual fan development practice. The FanDAS provides an optimized 3-D fan blade geometry, and its predictions on the performance and the noise level of designed fan are well agreed with actual test results.

Inverse Model Toolkit을 이용한 리모델링 건축물의 에너지 성능평가 사례 (A Case Study on Energy Performance Analysis of Retrofitted Building Using Inverse Model Toolkit)

  • Several models and methods have been developed to verify the improvement of energy performance in retrofit buildings. The verification is important to confirm the effectiveness of new technologies or retrofits. Inverse model toolkit proposed by ASHRAE evaluates the changes of the energy performance of retrofit buildings by using actual energy consumption data. In this study, the inverse model toolkit was used to analyze heating and cooling energy performance of an office building. Analyzed coefficients of correlation of actual energy consumption with estimated energy consumption was above 0.92 and well fitted. It was confirmed that energy consumption of natural gas decreased by 43.4% and also that electricity decreased by 13.8%, after the retrofit of the case building. For the energy usage, cooling energy was increased by 7.4%, heating energy was decreased by 42.3%, hot water and cooking were increased by 3.4%, lighting and electronics were decreased by 19.3%, and the total energy was decreased by 18.9%.

  • This study presented the feasibility of R152a refrigerant as an alternative of R134a which is used in the current automobile air conditioning system. The performance of air conditioning system installed in the actual vehicle was tested using the climate wind tunnel. The experiments were conducted at various refrigerant charge quantities and various driving conditions such as city traffic, highway traffic and parking. Same components and lubricant were used for both R134a and R152a system. The effects of air set values of thermal expansion valve on the performance were also investigated. In case of the R152a system, refrigerant charge quantity can be reduced about 20%, better performance and superior compressor durability is expected due to the lower discharge pressure compared to the R134a system.

  • For one-shot systems such as 81mm high-explosive ammunition, research on performance prediction is insignificant due to research manpower infrastructure and lack of interest and difficulties in securing field data, which can only be done by special task workers. In order to evaluate the actual range of ammunition, the storage ammunition reliability evaluation checks the range by firing actual ammunition through a functional test. Test evaluation is a method of extracting a sample from the population, launching it, and recording the results accordingly. As a result of these tests, the range, which is an indicator of ammunition performance, can be measured differently according to meteorological factors such as temperature, atmospheric pressure, and humidity according to the location of the test site. In this study, various environmental factors generated at the test site and storage period analyze the correlation with the range, which is the performance of ammunition, and analyze the priority of importance for each factor and the numerical standards that environmental factors affect range. Through this, a new approach to one-shot system performance prediction was presented.

  • The objective of this paper is to present a method for synthetic performance and quality evaluation of dial up network modem in users place. In the past, universally recognized criteria have not been available to model switched network modem performance. Reasonable assurance of modem performance on the public switched telephone network by standardized test channel which is suggested by ELA(Electronic Industries Association). These tests of modem from a variety manufacturers more reflective of actual performance on the network.

  • Braking is a basic and an important safety feature for all vehicles, and the final braking performance of a vehicle is determined by the vehicle's ABS performance and tire performance. However, the combination of excellent ABS and tires will not always ensure good braking performance. This is due to the fact that tire performance has non-linearity and uncertainty in predicting the repeated increase and decrease of wheel slip when activating the ABS, thus increasing the uncertainty of tire performance prediction. Furthermore, existing studies predicted braking performance after using an ABS that used a wheel slip control as a controller, which was different from an actual vehicle's ABS that controlled angular acceleration, therefore causing a decrease in the prediction accuracy of the braking performance. This paper reverse-designed the ABS that controlled angular acceleration based on the information on brake pressure, etc., which were obtained from vehicle tests, and established a braking performance prediction analysis model by combining a multi-body dynamics(MBD) vehicle model and a magic formula(MF) tire model. The established analysis model was verified after comparing it with the results of the braking tests of an actual vehicle. Using this analysis model, this study analyzed the braking effect by vehicle factor, and finally designed a tire that had optimized braking performance. As a result of this study, it was possible to design the MF tire model whose braking performance improved by 9.2 %.

  • 일반적으로 실내 공기질을 조절하기 위해서는 환기의 역할이 중요하다. 최근 코로나-19 등 감염병의 확산으로 거주자들의 실내에서 보내는 시간이 늘어남에 따라 환기의 중요성은 더욱 높아지고 있으며, 환기성능에 대한 관심도 더욱 높아지는 추세이다. 많은 국가에서 현재 환기 성능을 파악하는 지표로서 시간당 환기횟수를 사용하고 있으며, 국내에서도 공동주택을 대상으로 시간당 0.5회 이상의 환기횟수를 확보하도록 규제하고 있다. 하지만, 선행연구 및 국내외 환기성능 평가 관련 표준을 검토한 결과 시간당 환기횟수만을 통해 실내 환기 성능을 평가하는데에는 실질적 실내 환기 성능을 평가하는 데에는 한계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 실질적인 환기 성능을 평가하기 위해서는 실내 국소부위를 대상으로 오염물질 저감속도와 공간내 환기 성능 균일도 등을 고려하는 것이 필요할 것이다. 이에 대해 본 연구에서는 추적가스 희석법을 이용한 실증 실험을 통해 측정 위치별 유속, 공기연령 및 환기효율을 측정하고 비교하였으며, 측정점별 조합에 따른 평균값과 공간 내 중심점에서의 측정값을 비교하여 측정점 선정에 따른 환기성능 차이를 비교 조사하였다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 실환경 기반의 주거공간 실내 환기성능을 평가하기 위한 실험절차 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study is aimed at introduction of estimating methods of the fire resistant performance of the steel structural elements not by the actual fire tests but by the mathematical models.

  • 공공건설공사 발주제도 운영에 있어 기술경쟁을 지향하는 턴키 및 대안방식 등 설계 시공일괄방식의 경우, 시설물의 품질향상 및 건설기술 발전에 기여하였음에도 불구, 계약되는 공사비가 설계 시공 분리발주방식을 적용하는 공사보다 높아 예산낭비 우려가 있다는 지적과 함께 수주독점, 입찰담합, 심의비리 등의 문제가 쟁점이 되고 있다. 그러나 실제 발주방식별 사업성과와 효과에 대해 정밀 비교분석한 사례가 없는 실정이며, 단순히 낙찰률 등 사업의 한정된 일반적 정보만으로 사업효과를 논의하고 판단하는 것은 자칫 오류를 범할 우려가 있다. 이에 공공 건설공사를 대상으로 계약에서 준공에 이르기까지 실제 집행한 공사비 자료를 광범위하게 조사하여 비용의 투입구조 및 변동추세 등 발주방식별 특성을 비교분석하고 공공건설공사 발주제도의 올바른 이해와 효율적 운영을 도모하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 대규모 공공관리시스템에 그린IT 개념을 적용한 성능개선을 제안, 개발, 구현하여 관리, 비용, 인력 분야에 대하여 탁월한 성과를 도출하였다. 현재 운영 중인 시스템에 대하여 공공기관의 사용자들이 제시한 성능개선 사항을 분석하여 절감효과를 유발할 수 있는 리소스 중에서 그린IT 개념이 적용 가능한 항목을 선정하여 개선방안을 제시하고 시험운영을 거쳐 실제 시스템에 적용하는 절차로 구현하였다. 대규모 공공관리시스템으로는 국가자격 관리시스템을 대상으로 하여 기존의 개인별 시험용 저장장치를 보안처리를 강화한 온라인 처리과정으로 전환하여 비용 및 인력절감 효과와 관리상의 효율성을 확보하였다. 기존 운영시스템과 비교하여 볼 때 운영인력, 장애처리, 유지보수, 관리비용에서 2배에서 최대 12배의 효율성이 도출되었으며 년 간 최대 500만개의 개인 배포용 저장장치를 절감하였다.
