Effect of a Copper, Selenium and Cobalt Soluble Glass Bolus Given to Grazing Yaks

  • Two field trials were carried out to evaluate the performance of a soluble glass copper, cobalt and selenium bolus for maintaining adequate levels of the three trace elements in yaks. Forty yaks were used in trial 1 and 60 yaks were used in trial 2. In each trial two commercial soluble glass boluses were administered to half of the yaks. Blood samples were taken from the jugular vein at day 0, 30, 60, 90 in trial 1 and at day 0, 45, 75 and 105 in trial 2. The samples were analysed for copper status (serum caeruloplasmin activity and copper concentration), cobalt status (serum vitamin $B_{12}$ concentration and cobalt concentration), selenium status (erythrocyte glutathione peroxidase activity and selenium concentration) and serum zinc concentration. The erythrocyte glutathione peroxidase activities, serum caeruloplasmin activities and serum vitamin $B_{12}$ concentrations for trial 1 and 2 were all significantly increased for the bolused yaks (p<0.001 or p<0.01) on all sampling days. The bolused yaks had a significantly higher selenium and copper status in serum than the control yaks on all sampling days in trial 1 and 2 (p<0.05 or p<0.01). There were no significant differences in zinc and cobalt concentrations between the bolused yaks and the controls.

  • Industrial structure is more developed, the economical value of human resources and the cases which risks worker's Health & Safety is expended. The Safety & Health issues are focused on elements of control for management activity simultaneously with work environment as well as the risk elements which risks worker's life and body. The activity for combination of basic management System and Safety & Health management is progressing with active discussion in ILO, BS 8800 is specified the guidance of Occupational Safety & Health Management System in UK. 1996. This research refers to BS 8800:1996, specification as a basic model, and introduce of the result of certification development result in Occupational Safety & Health management System with in ISO 14001 Environmental System Standards & ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standards and Systemic Factors. Through this applicability and efficiency evaluation, we make an effort to support and to improve the specification. Also applicability evaluation of Occupational Safety & Health management System and the specification developed for the purpose of the third party certification is applied with expending in industry, and the method is presented through the case which is required to support for method review and activities.

영광 원자력발전소 주변해역 표층퇴적물의 입도와 원소분포 특성 (Characteristics of Particles Size and Element Distribution in the Coastal Bottom Sediments in the Vicinity of Youngkwang Nuclear Power Plant)

  • order to investigate physical characteristics and element concentrations of sediments, coastal bottom sediments were collected at 20 stations in the vicinity of Youngkwang Nuclear Power Plant. After air drying of samples in the laboratory. article size distribution was examined by Master sizer (X-350F), radio-activity by HPGe ${\gamma}$-spectrphotometer, and element concentrations by ICP-AES and AAS. According to particle size analysis , sediments are mainly composed of silt fraction weith 23% of sand, 65% of silt and 12% of clay on average. Most sediments are derived from muddy environment that silt dominates with the characteristics of 5.3${\varsigma}$ mean particle size, poorly sorted, very fine skewed and lepto-kurtic. Only two sediments are well sorted with sandy silt owing to wind, winnowing action, tide and current andits complex reactions. Element concentrations in the coastal bottom sediments are relatively high at finer sediment and show significant relationship with grain size. Index of geoaccumulation by heavy metals at every sampling station is classified as practically unpolluted. The radioactivities of the sediments were measured for 15 isotope elements, and 2 elements of K-40 and Cs-137 were detected in most sediments. The K-40 is the natural nuclide and the artificial nuclide of Cs-137 was thought to be derived from the fallout of past nuclear weapon test. The results of correlation coefficient between grain size and radioactivity shows that the activity of Cs-137 significantly increases in finer grain.

Succinyl화가 대두 단백질의 기능성과 두부의 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of succinylation on functional properties of soy protein isolate and qualities of soy bean curd)

  • Soy protein was isolated from Korean soy bean 'Chang ryub' and chemically modified with succinic anhydride. Functionality of the soy protein isolate(SPI), succinylated SPI(SPPI), and PP590(commercial) at various pH were investigated. The mechanical and sensory properties of soy bean curds made from several mixing ratio of succinylated soy bean milk were observed. The solubility of SPI significantly increased with succinylation. The solubility of PP590 was lower than that of SSPI. The solubility of SPPI increased significantly in 0.03M CaCl2 solution. The emulsifying activity of SSPI increased. On the range of pH above pI the emulsifying activity of PP590 was higher than that of SPI. There was no difference in emulsion stability among the groups. The foam expansion capacity of SPPI increased at higher pH than pI but the foam stability decreased significantly above pH 9. Mechanical texture profile analysis revealed the modified soy bean curds had the lower hardniss, chewiness and cohesiveness with increased modification. The mechanical characteristics of modified soy bean curds revealed generalized Maxwell Model of 7-elements or 5-elements. In sensory evaluation, the hardness, the springiness and acceptability of modified soy bean curds were lower significantly than those of control soy bean curd.

오로(五勞)·육극(六極)·칠상(七傷)의 분류에 관한 고찰 (A Study on Classification of Wulao(五勞)·Liuji(六極)·Qishang(七傷))

  • Objectives : This study examines the grounds on which Wulao(五勞) Liuji(六極) Qishang(七傷) which are categories of Xulao(虛勞) are differentiated, along with standards by which each category is further classified. Methods : Based on "Zhubingyuanhoulun(諸病源候論)", the first text to sort the different types and symptoms of Wulao(五勞) Liuji(六極) Qishang(七傷), each classification and its symptoms were analyzed. Texts which were written relatively close in time to "Zhubingyuanhoulun" were referenced in the process. Results & Conclusions : The differentiation of Wulao(五勞) Liuji(六極) Qishang(七傷) is based on the cause of illness. Wulao(五勞) is caused by mental activity which fatigues the Five Zang, Liuji(六極) is caused by exterior pathogens that damage the Five Body Elements, and Qishang(七傷) is caused by emotional factors as well as damaging practices. In close examination, Wulao(五勞) was further classified according to the different layers of mental activity, described in terms of taxation illness of the damaged Zang. Liuji(六極) is damage of the Five Body Elements by exterior pathogens, which was put into the spacial structure of nature and explained in six. Qishang(七傷) refers to the collective of representative symptoms and representative causes of Xulao.

초등학교 3, 4학년 체육교과서에 담긴 무용 활동 창의성 교육 내용분석 (Analysis of Dance Activities Creativity Education Contents Contained in Physical Education Textbooks for 3rd and 4th Grades of Elementary School)

  • 이 연구는 초등학교 3, 4학년 체육교과서 무용 활동의 창의성 교육 내용을 분석하기위해 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 초등학교 3, 4학년 체육과 검정교과서 16종과 보조자료를 수집하였으며 4P 모형에 기반한 체육교과서 창의성 교육 내용분석틀을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구의 진실성을 확보하기 위하여 전문가협의를 운영하였다. 이에 따른 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창의적 사람 관점에서 창의적 심성에서는 '탐구심'이 가장 많았으며 나머지 요소들은 비교적 골고루 나타났다. 활동 주체는 '개인'과 '동료(팀)'가 비슷한 빈도를 보였다. 둘째, 창의적 과정 관점에서 활동 영역은 모두 '학습'으로 나타났고 활동 목적은 대부분의 요소들이 골고루 나타났으며 창의적 과정이 활용되는 모습이 탐색되었다. 셋째, 창의적 산출물 관점에서 활동 방식은 신체활동수행이 가장 많이 나타났으며 2~3개의 활동 방식이 함께 쓰이고 있었다. 창의성 요소는 모든 요소가 골고루 나타난 가운데 민감성과 정교성이 4개로 가장 많았다. 넷째, 창의적 환경 관점에서 활동 공간은 제약 없음이 대부분이었으며 활동 매체는 신체를 활용한 교육 내용이 많았다. 이 연구를 통하여 무용 활동의 창의성 교육이 양적으로 확대되고 질적으로 심화되어야 함이 요구되었고 무용 활동의 창의성 교육 내용이 타영역으로 확산되어야 할 필요성이 탐색되었다.

영화에서 나타나는 비가시적 공포요소의 카니발적 표현 연구 (Research on the Cannibal Expression of Invisible Horror Elements in Films)

  • 시각적 공포요소가 등장인물과 직접적으로 대치하고 물리적으로 영향을 끼치는 것과 달리 비가시적 공포요소는 암시와 상상을 통해 표현되며 그 실체가 드러나지 않는다. 비가시적 공포요소가 실체를 드러내기 위해서는 '디아더스'와 같이 공포의 주체와 피해자의 관계가 전복되거나, '해프닝'과 '파라노말 액티비티'에서처럼 신체강탈이라는 방법으로 표현된다. 관계의 전복은 갑작스러운 성격의 변화를 야기하고, 신체강탈은 타인의 신체를 취한다는 점에서 식인행위와 연결된다. 식인행위와 성격의 변화는 카니발리즘에서 따르는 하위질서의 공식화와 비논리성에 속하는 것이다. 영화에서 나타나는 비가시적인 공포요소가 지니는 의미는 유토피아적 자유의 영역으로 들어간다는 카니발리즘의 본래의 의미와는 상반되어 보이지만 역할을 뒤집어 공포로 인한 갈등과 긴장이 해소되고 공포로부터 해방된다는 면에서 볼 때, 카니발의 정신인 '자유의 영역'으로 들어간다는 것과 의미가 상통할 것이다. 저자는 본 연구에서 비가시적 공포요소가 나타나는 영화의 표현과 플롯이 카니발리즘과 어떠한 관계를 가지는지 분석해 보려고 한다.

DETERMINATION OF THE TRANSURANIC ELEMENTS INVENTORY IN HIGH BURNUP PWR SPENT FUEL SAMPLES BY ALPHA SPECTROMETRY

  • The contents of transuranic elements in high-burnup spent fuel samples were determined. The activity amounts of $^{238}Pu,\;^{239}Pu,\;^{240}Pu,\;^{241}Am,\;^{244}Cm\;and\;^{242}Cm$ were measured by alpha spectrometry using $^{242}Pu\;and\;^{243}Am$ as tracers, respectively. A spike addition method for $^{237}Np$ was established by an alpha and gamma spectrometry using $^{239}Np$ as a spike after the optimum conditions for the measurements of $^{237}Np\;and\;^{239}Np$, respectively, were obtained. A separation system using anion exchange chromatography and diethylhexylphosphoric acid extraction chromatography was applied for the separation of these elements. This method was applied to high-burnup spent nuclear fuel samples $(40{\sim}60GWD/MTU)$. The contents of the transuranic elements were compared with those by ORIGEN-2 code. Measurements and the calculations of the contents of the plutonium isotopes $^{238}Pu,\;^{239}Pu\;and\;^{240}Pu$ agreed to within 10% on average. The contents of $^{237}Np$ agreed to within approximately 5% except for one instance of a calculation, while those of $^{241}Am,\;^{244}Cm\;and\;^{242}Cm$ showed higher values by approximately 19%, 35% and 14% on average, respectively, compared to the calculations according to the burnup.

실내코디네이션에 대한 아파트 거주자들의 인식 및 요구조사 - 부산광역시 아파트 거주자를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Apartment Residents' Awareness and Needs about Interior Coordination - Focused on the Apartment Residents in Pusan -)

  • Interior Coordination is the activity of making characteristic living space by planning and harmonizing various interior elements. In modern society, the taste and needs of the residents are getting varied and segmented, and the role of interior coordination is getting more important because that reflects cultural codes and trends and satisfies residents' needs. This study aims to investigate awareness and needs about interior coordination targeting apartment residents, and to provide fundamental data that could attribute to the planning of unique and diverse residential spaces. Methods of study include the literature research and the empirical study. Elements of interior coordination were extracted through the literature review, and the questionnaire was developed using these elements. And then a survey was carried out targeting apartment residents of Busan. The result shows that most of the residents were much interested in interior coordination, and they recognized it's importance. They wanted to plan and select the elements by themselves, but were passive in actual execution because of the difficulties in execution methods and economical conditions. There were certain differences between the styles of their own houses and the preferred styles, but they did not try actively to reconcile the differences. Therefore, various methods of interior coordination should be developed and proposed which are easy and effective for actual execution, and various media should be provided by which residents could easily get informations on design elements. Also, the concept and method of interior coordination should be considered from the very first stage of residential planning, and the replacement and modification of interior coordination could be easily done according to the change of life cycle and life styles.

초.중.고등학교 탐구 기능 요소에 대한 6차와 7차 과학 교육 과정의 비교 (Comparison with the 6th and 7th Science Curricular for Inquiry Skill Elements in the Elementary and Secondary School)

  • 제 6차와 7차 교육 과정의 교과서가 아니고 교육부 고시 교육 과정과 교육 과정 해설에 제시된 초 중 고등학교 탐구 기능 요소의 종류와 빈도를 포괄적으로 조사하였다. 제 6차 교육 과정에 제시된 탐구 기능 요소의 종류는 모두 17가지였고, 7차 교육 과정은 23가지로 조사되어 7차 교육 과정은 6차 교육 과정에 비해 탐구 기능 요소의 출현 종류가 약 1.3배 증가되었다. 탐구 기능 요소의 전체 빈도는 6차 교육 과정에서 408회, 7차 교육 과정에서 729회로 조사되어 7차가 6차에 비해 약 1.8배 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 학교급별 탐구 기능 요소의 총 활용 빈도는 초등학교의 경우, 6차 교육 과정 14가지 요소에서 155회, 7차 교육 과정 18가지 요소에서 188회, 중학교의 경우, 6차 교육 과정은 7가지 요소에서 44회, 7차 교육 과정은 16가지 요소에서 196회, 고등학교의 경우, 6차 교육 과정의 공통 과학은 10가지 요소에서 44회, 7차 교육 과정은 10가지 요소에서 50회, 고등학교 과학 4영역 I, II 의 경우, 6차 교육 과정은 11가지 요소에서 165회, 7차 교육 과정은 21가지 요소에서 279회로 나타냈다. 7차 교육 과정의 중학교 단계에서 탐구 기능 요소의 활용 빈도가 6차에 비해 약 4.5배 증가하여 초 중 고등학교 가운데 가장 큰 폭으로 상승하였고 전체적으로 볼 때, 7차 교육 과정은 6차 교육 과정보다 탐구 기능 요소의 종류가 약 1.3배, 그 빈도가 약 4.5배로 더욱 강화되었다. 그러므로, 학생들의 과학 탐구 능력 향상에 더욱 관심을 기울이고 그 중요성을 깊이 인식해야 할 것으로 생각되었다.
