In recent years, for the purpose of solving the problem regarding environment protection and resource saving, certain measures and policies have been promoted to establish a reverse supply chains (RSCs) with material flows from collection of used products to reuse the recycled parts in production of products. It is necessary to analyze behaviors of RSC members to determine the optimal operation. This paper discusses a RSC with a retailer and a manufacturer and verifies the behavior strategies of RSC members which may change over time in response to changes parameters related to the recycling promotion activity in RSC. A retailer takes two behaviors: cooperation/non-cooperation in recycling promotion activity. A manufacturer takes two behaviors: monitoring/non-monitoring of behaviors of the retailer. Evolutionary game theory combining the evolutionary theory of Darwin with game theory is adopted to clarify analytically evolutionary outcomes driven by a change in each behavior of RSC members over time. The evolutionary stable strategies (ESSs) for RSC members' behaviors are derived by using the replicator dynamics. The analysis numerically demonstrates how parameters of the recycling promotion activity: (i) sale promotion cost, (ii) monitoring cost, (iii) compensation and (iv) penalty cost affect the judgment of ESSs of behaviors of RSC members.

Recently, the smart health care industry is showing great interest in health due to the rapid rise of the industry, and various devices capable of monitoring health status in daily life are being developed. In this study, we implemented a system to monitor cardiac activity and anomalous signals from cardiac activity measurement in a manner different from conventional electrocardiogram or pulse wave measurement. And, we performed the measurement evaluation on the subject using the implemented heart sound system. As a result, we confirmed the possibility of monitoring cardiac activity during daily life through heart sound measurement.
Time course monitoring of FCW/DCW ratio, production of intra and extracellular protein, and peroxidase activity were performed during suspension culture of Taxus chinensis cells. The observed FCW/DCW ratio was 12 at day 14, which was the lowest value during cultivation, and the specific protein production, based on dry cell weight, was also the lowest at day 14, which showed 4.3 mg/g DCW. The pattern of POD activity was similar to that of protein production. The results in this report were obtained using actively growing cells in flasks, therefore it is possible to use those results to control the process and indicate the stresses imposed on cells during large-scale cultivation.

The minimum detectable activity (MDA) value was derived according to the flow rate of the sample and degree of amplification of the device by sending the sample directly from the collection site to the detection part through a pump. This method can lead to reduction in time and cost compared to the existing measurement method that uses a pre-treatment process. In this study, experiments were conducted on $^3H$ and $^{90}Sr$, which are the major pure beta-emitting radionuclides, by setting the sample flow rate and the amplification gain as factors. The MDA values were derived according to the flow rates, considering that the flow rate can affect the MDA values. There were no change in the MDA under different flow rates of 0, 600, 800, and 1000 mL/min. Therefore, it was confirmed that the flow rate may not be considered when collecting samples for monitoring in actual field. As the degree of amplification of the amplifier increased, the time required to reach the target MDA decreased. When the amplification was quadrupled, the detection efficiency increased by approximately 23.4 times, and the time to reach the MDA decreased to approximately 1/550 times. This method offers the advantage of real-time on-site monitoring.

Government ministries operate various system dealing with filed civil appeals. There are representative systems such as Safety Monitoring System of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security (MOPAS), Disaster Premonitory Information System of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Facilities Hazard Information System of the Ministry of Land, Transportation and Maritime Affairs (MLTM), Environmantal Monitoring System of the Ministry of Environment (ME). The purpose managing these systems is to reduce casualties and to improve safety by preventing disasters and accidents in local communities. This study suggests the method to effectively operate a safety monitoring system which fits to local situations based on the statistical analysis performed on filed complaint cases in Gangdong-gu as a sample region. The cases has been collected since 2012 through the voluntary safety monitoring activity of a specialist who had finished the Emergency and Safety maneger's master course.
Three different methods of bacterial viability monitoring were compared to detect chemically or thermally inactivated Escherichia coli. Direct colony enumeration, live/dead bacterial cell staining with a fluorescent dye, and the dehydrogenase activity assay were compared with respect to their ease of use and time required to perform the three different tests. The green (live cell)/red (dead cell) ratio obtained from the fluorescent bacterial cell staining approach showed a linear relationship with the colony forming units; the result obtained with dehydrogenase was similar to those. The sensitivity of the monitoring methods to detect bacterial deactivation varied with different disinfection conditions. After thermal treatment, the sensitivity of the staining approach was lower, while that of the dehydrogenase activity assay was the highest. After chemical treatment, the sensitivity of detection for both methods was similar.

Recently, the smart health care industry has been rising rapidly and interest and efforts for public health have been greatly increased. As a result, the public does not visit medical specialists and medical facilities, but the desire to check their health condition in everyday life is increased. Therefore, many domestic and foreign companies continuously research and develop wearable devices that can measure body activity information anytime and anywhere And the market. Especially, it is used for heart activity measurement device using pulse wave sensor and electrocardiogram sensor. However, in this study, a monitoring system that can detect cardiac activity using cardiac sounds, heart sound measurement rather than pulse wave measurement and electrocardiogram measurement, was performed and its performance was evaluated. Experimental results confirmed the predictability of cardiac heart rate and heart valve disease during daily living.

Objectives : Empathy has been conceptualized as the ability of emotional resonance and perspective-taking. Emotional awareness has been proposed as the basis of empathy. In this study we examined the relationship between empathy and mood awareness and their neural correlates in resting-state activity in normal controls and patients with schizophrenia. Methods : Empathy and mood awareness scale scores were compared between 29 patients with schizophrenia and 21 normal controls by voxel-based t-tests and voxel-based correlation analyses of resting-state $^{18}F$-FDG PET images. Results : Empathy and mood labeling scale scores were significantly decreased in schizophrenic patients. Mood monitoring was positively correlated with empathy score in normal controls, but not in schizophrenic patients. In normal controls, empathy was positively correlated with resting-state activities in the intraparietal sulcus and mood monitoring was positively correlated with the temporal pole, frontopolar cortex, inferior temporal gyrus, entorhinal cortex and the subgenual prefrontal cortex resting activities. The orbitofrontal cortex resting activity was positively correlated with mood monitoring-related subgenual prefrontal cortex activity in the normal controls. Patients with schizophrenia showed decreased orbitofrontal resting activity and loss of its correlations with mood monitoring-related regional activities. Conclusion : This study showed that alteration in the resting-state activity in schizophrenia may reflect dysfunctional empathy and distorted characteristic of emotional awareness. However, the resting-state activity may not reflect the relationship between emotional awareness and empathy.

In this paper, a new reliable portable activity monitoring device implemented with the buddhist-style bowing activity and walking step detection algorithm, is presented. In order to monitor the bowing and walking activities, miniaturized 3-axis accelerometer sensor with the sensitivity of 800 mV/g was used. After initial signal conditioning, vector magnitude of accelerometer signals was calculated. Syntactic peak detection method was used in order to feature points. All signal processing algorithms were implemented in ultra-low power microcontroller MSP430 with double precision floating point arithmetic. For evaluation, 19 young man($24.22\pm5.22$ yrs) and woman($22.28\pm2.72$ yrs) were involved. The accuracy of the proposed algorithms were 98.91 %($\pm0.011$) for walking step detection and 98.25 %($\pm0.023$) for buddhist-style bowing activity. Comparing to the commercialized pedometer accuracy, 87.1 %($\pm0.058$), the proposed walking step detection algorithms show more reliable accuracy.
The Baegdusan Volcano which erupted violently at 1000 AD is still have possibility of eruption. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor regularly the possibility of eruption. However, it is very difficult to install regular monitoring system or to get regularly monitored data due to geopolitic problems. This is why we have to develop regular monitoring technique using satellite. The geoid in the Baegdusan Volcanic area calculated from gravity data obtained from GRACE satellite, decreased from 2002 to 2005. The period of decreasing is well matched with time when magma activities were recognized in the Baegdusan Volcanic area. The decrease in geoid is interpreted to be caused by the decrease of water storage. Considering that the amount of rainfall from 2002 and 2005 is almost constant, the decrease in geoid may be related to the magma activity under the Baegdusan Volcano. The geomagnetic total force in the Baegdusan Volcanic area measured by CHAMP satellite, decreased from 2000 to 2005 and increased after 2005. The period of decrease is well matched with the time with increased activity of magma chamber under the Baegdusan Volcano indicating that the decrease of geomagnetic total force is caused by demagnetization of surrounding rocks due to the increase of temperature of magma chamber. These data indicate the possbility of using change of geoid and geomagnetic total force observed by GRACE and CHAMP satellites for the monitoring of magma activity under the Baegdusan Volcano.
