  • Korean traditional houses have been evolved and developed in many years, adopting the natural environment to control exterior conditions. These control method are various Passive system of using natural materials, considering micro climate, building lay out, and these system are much natural and ecological to make the comfortable indoor climate than active systems of the present houses. This study aims to analyzed the acoustical characteristics of Korean traditional houses varied with lay out and floor plan to reflect the way of control for environmental condition. The reverberation time and level difference between rooms of the main living room and other main floored room, master room and kitchen are measured in each houses. As a result, the reverberation time of Korean traditional rooms are below 0.6 second, and the sound insulation performance of Korean traditional door are mostly very low grade with D-15. The level difference between rooms are low grade not to meet minimum class except between main living room and master room away from main living building. These above results show that our traditional house are much more emphasized seeking visual privacy of rooms than aural privacy.

  • Making of agreement with participation subjects is important process laying stress on presentation and a reasonable design guide line to form space order grant and synthetic space in Housing Complex plan. This study analyzed residing application specific character of design guide line that is presented to architects in general planning laying stress on plan only of 'Bongmu-dong town house' and design agreement of by architectural result that appear analyze. Result that analyze is as following: 1) Confer in 18 plan contents and integrate design or was adjusted. Being main conduct and unit plan and residing only in plan many negotiations accomplish. Architect who confer most Designs of 5 architects is 'Jean Michel Wilmott' and 'Shigeru Ban' 2) contents that confer much in plan main conduct and unit generation were details plan. Contents that is conferred with many architects are about door/core/rooftop be and asked a question about proper size of entrance. Negotiation about size was expose to the tribe of knowledge about element that do furniture and detail of necessary each space in life style of our country. We must present furnitures or detail element that appear by emotion of our country and detailed item of furnitures' size etc.. in guide line. It is immediate that creation of guide that architects can approach easily for lacking abroad architects of interests by code difference in each country is pressing. 3) In residing plan 4 architects of 5 architects applied similarly guide line in design. Most architects look by active support that make synthetic housing complex. and this is construed that act positively to make by unified residing. That plan of woods or landscape architecture and security of green area space are thing to approach on 'Environment-friendly mode of life residing only' that is general planning subject of 'Bongmu-dong town house'. 4) common question items of architects guide line of though is refered definitely when make out effective interests plan. So that can overcome legislation difference, countermeasure to make understood construction code of our country is pressing

  • Maca (Lepidium meyenii) has been used as a food and medicine in Peru for thousands of years. More recently a wide array of commercial maca products have gained popularity as dietary supplements with claims of anabolic and aphrodisiac effects. Even though the biologically active principles of maca are not fully known, the lipidic extract of maca tubers containing macamides showed promising physiological activities. In this study, the lipidic extract were collected from maca tubers by using supercritical carbon dioxide ($SCO_2$). Substance estimated as macamide in the extract was isolated and purified by preparative HPLC with recycling system. Two of the purified substance was identified as N-benzyl-5-oxo-6E,8E-octadecadienamide and N-benzylhexadecan amide by LC/MS, $^1H$-NMR and $^{13}C$-NMR analyses.

  • Active tab is one of the promising technology for the BVI (blade-vortex interaction) noise reduction, and analysis of noise reduction performance is very important phase of the technology development. For the purpose of analysing the performance of noise reduction using active tab, CAMRAD II model for a model-scale rotor system was constructed utilizing structural design result and airfoil aerodynamic data generated by CFD (computational fluid dynamics) calculation. HHC strategy was applied to descent flight condition and air-load was calculated by CAMRAD II then variations of BVI noise was calculated by in-house program. Calculation result with respect to tab length and control phase changes showed BVI noise could be reduced by -3.3dB.

  • Background: It remains uncertain if $interferon-{\gamma}$ release assays (IGRAs) are superior to the tuberculin skin test (TST) for the diagnosis of active tuberculosis (TB) or latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) in immunosuppressed populations including people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. The purpose of this study was to systematically review the performance of IGRAs and the TST in people with HIV with active TB or LTBI in low and high prevalence TB countries. Methods: We searched the MEDLINE database from 1966 through to January 2017 for studies that compared results of the TST with either the commercial QuantiFERON-TB Gold in Tube (QFTGT) assay or previous assay versions, the T-SPOT.TB assay or in-house IGRAs. Data were summarized by TB prevalence. Tests for concordance and differences in proportions were undertaken as appropriate. The variation in study methodology was appraised. Results: Thirty-two studies including 4,856 HIV subjects met the search criteria. Fourteen studies compared the tests in subjects with LTBI in low TB prevalence settings. The QFTGT had a similar rate of reactivity to the TST, although the first-generation version of that assay was reactive more commonly. IGRAs were more frequently positive than the TST in HIV infected subjects with active TB. There was considerable study methodology and population heterogeneity, and generally low concordance between tests. Both the TST and IGRAs were affected by CD4 T-cell immunodeficiency. Conclusion: Our review of comparative data does not provide robust evidence to support the assertion that the IGRAs are superior to the TST when used in HIV infected subjects to diagnose either active TB or LTBI.
