An expert network administrator is not always stationed as disasters happen. In that case, it is desirable that a novice administrator is capable of taking part in network recovery operations as well. In this paper, an agent-based network management system in emergency situations is presented. We use the Active Information Resource based Network Management System (AIR-NMS) to relieve the human administrator from parts of her management tasks and present an interface that remotely can control this management system. The effectiveness of the system is demonstrated by experiments using a prototype system.

인터넷 기반의 사이버 공격의 형태가 다양해지고 복잡해지면서 공격자를 탐지하고 신속하게 대응하는 것이 점차 어려워지고 있다. 또한, 기존의 네트워크 보안 메커니즘이 지엽적인 영역에서 방어적인 대응에 치중하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 사이버 공격에 쉽게 대응할 수 있고, 보안 영역 간의 협력을 통해 공격자를 추적하고 고립화할 수 있는 능동적인 대응이 가능한 새로운 네트워크 보안 구조를 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 보안 구조는 능동 네트워크 상에서 능동 패킷 기술을 이용하여 위조 IP 공격이나 DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) 공격 등을 효과적으로 대응하는 것이 가능하다. 제안된 보안 구조를 기반으로 설계된 능동 보안 관리 시스템은 보안 영역 내에서 능동보안노드와 능동보안관리서버로 구성되며, 다양한 보안 영역 내의 능동보안관리 시스템 간의 협업을 통해 기존의 사이버 공격 대응 방식보다 능동적으로 대응할 수 있다. 능동보안관리 시스템의 적용가능성을 검증하기 위해 테스트베드를 구축하여 실험하였고, 실험 결과를 분석한다.

방송 통신의 융합에 따라 차세대 멀티미디어 서비스인 IPTV 서비스가 각광받고 있다. IPTV 서비스는 무한한 채널수용과 미디어의 확장, 품질이 보장되는 서비스의 형태로 발전되면서 기존 네트워크의 트래픽 증가와 서비스 특성에 맞는 품질제어 기술들이 요구되고 이에 따라 플로우별 서비스 품질 제어 기술이 필요하게 되었다. 이를 위해 IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force)에서도 인터넷 상에서 IP QoS를 제공하기 위한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있는데 그 중 버퍼 관리 메커니즘으로 RED(Random Early Detection) 알고리즘 및 RED를 변형한 여러 가지 방법들이 제시되고 있으나 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스의 QoS 요구 사항을 충족시키는데 어려움이 있다. 이에 따라, 본 논문에서는 다양한 QoS를 요구하는 인터넷 멀티미디어 서비스를 지원하기 위해 각 서비스가 요구하는 목표 패킷 손실률을 유지시킬 수 있는 QoS적응형 플로우 기반 AQM (Active Queue Management) 알고리즘을 제안하고 ns-2를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능 분석을 제시하였다.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to develop a simulator which can analyze the anti-inflammatory effects of medical herbs based on e-cell concerning p38 MAPK signal pathway. Methods : We collected data concerning medical herbs with anti-inflammatory effects and the active compounds to provide as a fundamental databse and to validate the newly developed algorithm. At this time, we used the target database as pubmed and gathered the data by data mining tool, pathway studio. Also we have developed the web-based search system for confirming database related to anti-inflammation. We researched the mechanism of actions of proteins in p38 MAPK signal pathway when active compound has been inserted into the network. We reduced total network into TAK-MKK3-p38 and made the two types of mathematical model about active compounds' interaction. Results & Conclusion : We constructed the database which have 69 cases of medical herbs, 71 cases of active compounds, about 8,000 cases of URL(Uniform Resource Locator) related to papers and reports. We designed the ordinary differential equations for response of TAK, MKK3, p38 in e-cell's cytosol and nucleus. We used this formular as measure whether an active compound of medicinal plants which is inputted by an user would have an anti-inflammation effects. We developed the visualization program which could show the change of concentration over time.

Early decision support systems (DSS) were the "passive" decision support systems in the sense that the systems only able to do what the users explicitly direct them to do. But some researchers such as Raghav Rao et al. [51 showed architectures to suggest general idea of the innovative DSS systems which offer active form of decision support, say, "active Intelligent Decision Support Systems(active IDSS)". The system can perform not only what the users want to do but some voluntary (or involuntary) intelligent works. This paper presents the issues in the design of the active IDSS in the domain of investment evaluation, a domain area where few researchers have suggested frameworks or architectures to discriminate good investment from bad one. We propose a new paradigm, by utilizing historical investment results using neural network and Multivariate Discriminant Analysis(MDA), to identify goodness of investment. A new active IDSS architecture which consists of neural network, expert system and three components of the traditional passive DSS is suggested with some scenario based results.nario based results.

Mobile Ad-hoc Networks(MANETs)에서 정책기반 네트워크 관리를 위해서는 기존의 유선망 관리 방법으로는 신뢰성과 효율성을 보장 할 수 없다. 그러므로 MANETs 관리는 노드들을 효과적으로 클러스터하고 이동 관리를 하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 분산 되어 있는 PDP(Policy Decision Point)를 발견하는 Active PDP Discovery Protocol과 PEP(Policy Enforcement Point)노드 이동 감지를 위해 COPS-PR을 확장하고 PDP에 MNL(Management Node List)를 추가하여 PEP노드를 관리하는 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 시뮬레이션을 통해 얻은 결과를 분석하고 결론으로 끝맺는다.

MANET의 한정적 자원과 토폴로지 변화 등의 특성 때문에 MANET 환경에서 관리 행위를 수행하고 QoS를 보장하기란 어려운 일이다. 또한 MANET의 QoS 보장에 대한 연구는 주로 MAC 프로토콜과 라우팅 프로토콜에 집중되어 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 차등화 서비스(DiffServ) QoS 모델을 기반으로 하는 정책기반 망 관리 기술과 동적으로 네트워크의 기능을 확장할 수 있는 액티브 네트워크 기술을 이용하여 MANET을 효율적으로 관리하고 QoS를 제공할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안한다. 제안한 프레임워크는 액티브 네트워크 환경에서 정책 기반 관리가 가능하기 때문에 관리자에게 추상적이고 자동적인 관리방법을 제공한다.

For an effective energy management in intelligent buildings it is necessary to gather information about position/absence of people and the level of population. In this paper the smart occupancy detection system based on the active RFID is developed to satisfy such a demand. The performance of the developed system is tested and verified through various experiments. Furthermore the feasibility test of the active RFID tag is performed to verify whether it can be used as a location-based occupancy sensor. The developed core technology can be also applied to other fields such as security, healthcare, smart home, etc.

In this paper, we summary known suggestion system which is useful a small and medium enterprise. We don't think suggestion system of a small and medium enterprise active. We reflect 2 points of suggestion system. We propose the Active Plan to Suggestion System for small and medium Enterprise which are (1) suggestion direction for enterprise future, (2) suggestion body for all employee included, (3) suggestion methods for all information shared.
