The importance of networking capability is gaining more weight for enterprise business and high-speed Internet access with guaranteed security management is essential to companies. This paper presents a unified network security management solution to support high-speed Internet access, active security management, traffic classification and control. The presented system provides firewall, VPN, intrusion detection, contents filtering, traffic management, QoS management, and history log functions in unified manner implemented in a single appliance device located at the edge of enterprise networks. This will enable cost effective unified network security solution to companies.

A key role in cloud computing systems that is becoming an issue is implementing a database on untrusted cloud servers requiring the complexity of key management. This study proposes a key management system using Self Proxy Servers to minimize key executions and improve the performance of cloud services by generating Self-Creating Algorithms where the data owner is not directly concerned with related keys when a user sends an encrypted database a query. The Self Proxy Server supports active and autonomous key managements as a distributed server if any trouble should arise from a cloud key server and for an efficient cloud key management. Therefore, the key management system provides secure cloud services by supporting confidentiality of a cloud server database.

In the smart life era where the majority of economically active population uses mobile devices, smart devices have formed a new service market. In this study, we developed a shipyard quality management application using mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs. For this purpose, the problems were derived through the analysis of the quality management work on shipyard and the considerations were extracted to build a smart work environment by analyzing the case studies of smart work in other industrial fields. Among the shipyard quality management work, functions thought to be highly utilized when converted to a mobile system has been developed as a mobile application. The application was developed by applying an object-oriented component-based development (ooCBD) methodology, and is expected to improve the user experience and the efficiency of quality management operations in shipyard.

Assets are an essential part of a railway financial position and income state. The Railway industry, SOC, has characteristics of possessing vast tangible assets and incurring vast asset-related-costs. For higher liquidity and profitability, the railway industry need more active asset management. Since 2011, IFRS has its changed accounting method for tangible assets, this has subsequently affected asset management. As the railway industry has a high portion of tangible assets, the accounting method for tangible assets is very important. This paper analyzes the newly adopted accounting method for tangible assets and proposes LCC for effective asset management.

The aim of this study is to discuss the significance of standards in general as well as that of records management in particular. It also analyzes the current state of standardization efforts that will directly and indirectly affect records management practices. It begins with introducing definitions of standards and the rationale behind the expensive and cumbersome process of standardization. Also covered are major standard-setting organizations at different levels such as international and national level and various types of standards created or endorsed by these organizations. Throughout the study, main focus is given to standards and standardization endeavors in records management. Until recently, standardization activities have been mainly concentrated on manufacturing industry. Consequently, standards regarding records management are not sufficient enough to satisfy organizational and professional needs. Even ISO/TC 46/ SC 11, which is in charge of standardization in records management at the international level, has just published one standard, ISO 15489 : 2001 and newly proposed five standards in 2002. Awareness of the current state calls for active participation of records managers to the standard-related activities as discussed in this study. It is also asked to keep up with the global movement by establishing standards tailored to Korean situations as well as by actively participating In international standardization activities In order to take an initiative at the international level.

This study examined activities involving the finding, organizing, managing, and re-finding of information by knowledge workers in Kuwait. This research also conducted a review of the tools needed for effective personal information management (PIM) and assessed perceptions about improving PIM through Internet use. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews conducted among 26 graduates of the Department of Information Studies at Kuwait University. These participants are currently employed in different sectors engaged in a variety of information-related activities. This study's findings indicated that participants gathered different types of information from a variety of sources. This information was stored using several devices and services, including desktop computers, shared drives, clouds, bookmarked websites, e-mail correspondence, and favorites lists. Participants organized information in personal folders according to categories such as subject/topic, time, project, document type, and geographical region. Preferred methods for information re-finding included searching by keyword and browsing through folders. Interviewees reported problems of information overload, fragmentation, and anxiety. Most were active in social media via mobile device, while some of them used Siri or Ask Google to retrieve information. Tools used for PIM included calendars, tasks, schedules, e-mail management tools, clouds, and social networking tools. Participants reported that the Internet helped with personal information management practices, but that some privacy issues arose in this context.

This study focused on the 'public architecture' of each local area as an alternative to local regeneration with a huge amount of funding. The starting point of this study is the public architecture that can be used as a strategic resource for local regeneration as a hub for communities for residents in the local area. The main content of the research is to identify the requirements of public architecture as a local regeneration hub and problems in the current public architecture management system. Based on results of the study, the following direction is to be presented for improvement of the public architecture management system to contribute to continuous local regeneration. The first results reveal there is a need to actively introduce measures to dualize facility maintenance and program operation. Secondly, the results show the participation of residents in public architecture management should be more active to reflect local demand. Thirdly, it is evident that the management entity should establish and implement goals and strategies toward local regeneration. Lastly, public architecture must strive to provide local community space.

Approximately 40,000 elevators are installed every year in Korea, and they are used as a convenient means of transportation in daily life. However, the continuous increase in elevators has a social problem of increased safety accidents behind the functional aspect of convenience. There is an emerging need to induce preemptive and active elevator safety management by elevator management entities by strengthening the management of poorly managed elevators. Therefore, this study examines domestic research cases related to the evaluation items of the elevator safety quality rating system conducted in previous studies, and develops a statistical model that can examine the effect of elevator maintenance quality as a result of the safety management of the elevator management entity. We review two types: odds ratio analysis and logistic regression analysis models.

This research first finds out the resources, activities, and effectiveness of quality management effort and the resulting customer satisfaction when the total quality management is lacking in most Korean medical agencies today. Then, it analyzes the relationship among the factors mentioned earlier. This paper utilizes actual data and presents a theoretical model which explains that the resources of quality management affect the activities and that the fruit of the quality management effort benefits the customers in the end. In addition, this study conducts a corroborative analysis through executing a survey, getting a descriptive statistical result on the subjects' characteristics and the research variables using SPSS 9.0 WIN PROGRAM, and the model is approved through analyzing its make-up using LISREL 8.12 WIN PROGRAM. The study's finding is the following: First, the management leadership affects the worker's, educational training, the quality of medical service, and the survey of customer satisfaction positively. However, it does not affect the quality of work positively. Second, the internal customer satisfaction affects the worker's participation, educational training, the quality of medical service, and the survey of customer satisfaction positively. Third, the quality of medical service and the survey of customer satisfaction affects the result of quality management positively, but the worker's participation, educational training, and the quality of work do not affect the result of quality management positively. Fourth, the management leadership does not appear to affect the result of quality management positively. Fifth, the internal quality management appears to affect the result of quality management positively. Sixth, the external customer satisfaction appears to affect the result of quality management positively. In conclusion, the findings in this study indicate that medical agencies need to utilize the active variables of quality management in order to successfully establish a total quality management.

The movement range and diurnal behavior of 17 wild black rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) were monitored within the marine ranching area of Tongyeong from 27 July to 7 November, 2005 using acoustic telemetry. Coded transmitters were surgically implanted into the abdomen of fish. Two of ten fish released in summer moved about 2 km away from the capture point for 1 day. The others stayed within a 500-m radius of the release point for 1 week after release. The seven fish released in autumn stayed within 500 m of the release point. Most fish were more active and had a greater range of horizontal diurnal movement at night than during the day. Additionally, the range of horizontal diurnal variation was greater in summer than in autumn. While fish released in summer were more vertically active at night than during the day, those released in autumn preferred to move vertically during the day.
