First for high-qualify images and reducing process-error and driving speed, the designed 8-bit data driving circuit consists of a constant transconductance bias circuit, D-F/Fs by shift registers using static transmission gates, 1st latch and 2nd latch by tristate inverters, level shifters, current steering segmented D/A converters by 4MSB thermometer decoder and 4LSB weighted type. Second, we designed gray amp for power saving. These data driving circuits are designed with $0.35-{\mu}m$ CMOS technologies at 3.3 V and 18 V power supplies and simulated with HSPICE.

We developed a novel PVA pixel design for mobile application with excellent off-axis image quality and optical performance by introducing Active Level Shift technology and optimizing pixel structure. Our new pixel design enables better off-axis image quality without sacrificing other optical properties compared with a conventional mPVA structure.

This study proposes a new pulse-width modulation switching pattern for the low conduction loss of a three-level neutral point clamped (NPC)-based dual-active bridge (DAB) converter. The operational principle for a bidirectional power conversion is a phase-shift modulation. The conventional switching method of the three-level NPC-based DAB converter shows a symmetric switching pattern. This method has a disadvantage of high root-mean-square (RMS) value of the coupling inductor current, which leads to high conduction loss. The proposed switching method shows an asymmetrical pattern, which can reduce the RMS value of the inductor current with lower conduction loss than that of the conventional method. The performance of the proposed asymmetrical switching method is theoretically analyzed and practically verified using simulation and experiment.

Research on human identification in ubiquitous environment has recently attracted a lot of attention. As one of those research, gait recognition is an efficient method of human identification using physical features of a walking person at a distance. In this paper, we present a human shape extraction and tracking for gait recognition using geodesic active contour models(GACMs) combined with mean shift algorithm The active contour models (ACMs) are very effective to deal with the non-rigid object because of its elastic property. However, they have the limitation that their performance is mainly dependent on the initial curve. To overcome this problem, we combine the mean shift algorithm with the traditional GACMs. The main idea is very simple. Before evolving using level set method, the initial curve in each frame is re-localized near the human region and is resized enough to include the targe region. This mechanism allows for reducing the number of iterations and for handling the large object motion. The proposed system is composed of human region detection and human shape tracking modules. In the human region detection module, the silhouette of a walking person is extracted by background subtraction and morphologic operation. Then human shape are correctly obtained by the GACMs with mean shift algorithm. In experimental results, the proposed method show that it is extracted and tracked efficiently accurate shape for gait recognition.

In this paper, the active noise controll system in duct is analyzed with real time implementation. The primary noise signal detected by microphone is modeled using adaptive algorithm and the secondary signal which has the same amplitude and 180$^{\circ}$phase shift with the primary noise signal is generated in the controller. We used the DSP56001 as a real-time processor and LMS algorithm as a adaptive technique, the experimental results shows that our system can reduce the noise level in duce to 15~40[db].

Objectives: This study was conducted to assess the association between level of physical activity and depressive symptoms among Korean male workers. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire was distributed and anthropometric measurements were conducted with 1,379 male workers during a general health check. From this data, we identified the general characteristics, levels of physical activity(IPAQ), and depressive symptoms(CES-D) of the study population. We conducted univariate logistic regression to verify the variables that affect depressive symptoms and multivariate logistic regression to calculate odds ratios. Results: Among the 1,379 male workers, 43.4% were in the insufficiently active group(IPAQ category 1) and 22.8% were in the depressive symptom group($CES-D{\geq}16$). The odds ratio(OR) for depressive symptoms was statistically higher in the insufficiently active group, workers aged over 30, the shift work group, and the unmarried group. Adjusted for those variables, the ORs for depressive symptoms were found to be 1.45(95% CI=1.25-2.11), 1.15(OR=1.15, 95% CI=1.08-1.99) and 1.75(95% CI=1.48-2.02), for the insufficiently active group, workers aged over 30, and the shift work group, respectively. Conclusions: We found physical inactivity, age, marital status, and shift work to be associated with depressive symptoms among male workers. This study supports the suggestion that physical activity can be helpful to reduce depressive symptoms among workers.
A voltage-programming pixel circuit, which compensates the threshold voltage shift of TFTs and the degradation of OLED, is proposed for large sized a-Si:H active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) applications. Considering threshold voltage variation (or shift), OLED degradation and reverse bias annealing, HSPICE simulation results indicate that luminance error of every gray level is less than 0.4 LSB under the condition of +1V threshold voltage shift and from -0.2 LSB to 2.6 LSB within 30% degradation of OLED in the case of 40-inch full HDTV condition.
In this paper the active vibration control system using a linear oscillatory actuator(LOA) is studied to suppress structural vibration. In the LOA, the AC-power-energized armature generates a shift field in an air gap, which produces a oscillating force to the mover in the magnetic field generated by high density permanent magnets. LOA has relatively simple structure with almost maintenance free, compared with a hydraulic actuator. Performance test of the active vibration control system using a LOA is carried out on a steel test structure under base excitation. From this test, it is confirmed that the acceleration level of the test structure is drastically reduced near the resonant region.
A ZVZCS(Zero-Voltage and Zero-Current-Switching) Three Level DC/DC Converter is presented to secondary auxiliary circuit. The converter presented in this paper used a phase shift control with a flying capacitor in the primary side to achieve ZVS for the outer switch. A secondary auxiliary circuit, which consists of one small capacitor and two small diode, is added in the secondary to provides ZVZCS conditions to primary switches, and aids to clamp secondary rectifier voltage. The auxiliary circuit Includes neither lossy component nor addition active switch, which makes the proposed converter efficient and effective. The principle of operation, feature, and design considerations are illustrated and verified through the experiment with a 500W 50kHz prototype converter.
In this paper, the active noise controll system in duct is analyzed with real time implementation. The primary noise signal detected by microphone is modeled using adaptive algorithm and the secondary signal which has the same amplitude and $180^{\circ}$ phase shift with the primary noise signal is generated in the controller. The signal processor DSP56001 is used to implement the real-time controller and the experimental results shows that our system can reduce the noise level in duct to $20{\sim}40$ [db].
