Plant growth regulator is an essential pesticide to date while the available active ingredient is not well understood unlike fungicide, insecticide and herbicide. This study was aimed to evaluate a new chemical class of plant growth regulator, and the total of 92 benzene derivatives were screened for their germination and early stage of the root growth regulation on Brassica campestris. Thirty benzaldehydes, nine acids, one amide, and one ester showed potent root growth inhibitory activity (>70 % inhibition) while only salicylaldehyde showed potent germination inhibition ($IC_{50}=81.2mg/L$) suggesting that benzaldehyde was a key module candidate for the growth inhibition. Benzaldehydes were further evaluated for root growth inhibition. 2,3-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde and salicylaldehyde showed $IC_{50}$ values of 8.0 and 83.9 mg/L, respectively. On the other hand, salicylaldehyde, and 2,4,5-trihydroxybenzaldehyde were found to have root growth promotion effects less than 10 mg/L. This result suggests that the benzaldehyde is a new class candidate for plant growth regulator.

This study is to practice a analysis of Q-methodological preference degree about the subjects on school curriculum centering around the views of the policemen in active service who are with Gwang Ju and Jeon Nam region. Concretely, this study mixed the subjects on school curriculum related to the police administration of universities located in Gwang Ju and Jeon Nam region and abstracted the twenty seven items as the final question point. Above this, this study integrated the similar or repeated subjects and drew up the question items through seperation process among the different subjects. After this, this study selected the twenty policemen as a first P-sample in active service presently on fourth month in the year 2011. In this process, this study eliminated the materials of six policemen who replyed unhonestly and selected the materials of ten-four policemen as a final effective sample. Furthermore, this study applicated a principal component analysis. This study practiced the I.II.III types of a preference degree analysis of the subjects related to the police administration. the concrete results are as follows: In a I type, the positive consent was showed in the subjects of criminal law, criminal procedure law, criminal speciality law and so on. In a II type, the positive consent was showed in criminal investigation science, emergency measure, the art of self-defence, criminal law, criminal procedure law and so on. In a III type, the positive consent was showed in criminal science, criminal investigation science, criminal procedure law, introduction to police science, police ethics and so on. On this basis, this study concluded the following common opinions. Firstly the actual and evidencial subjects which the policemen in active service feel as the commons were criminal investigation, criminal science, police ethics, criminal speciality law, criminal law business, police administration science, police law practice, emergency measure, the art of self-defence, general rules of civil law, administrative law and so on.

This study investigated field data to understand the spatio-temporal distribution of pollinating insects and buckwheat flowers. We set the in-situ observation sites in different locations to get altitude and cropping system distribution data for five years (2016 to 2020) in Korea. Twenty-five different insect species, belonging to 8 orders, were recorded. Over the past five years, species from the orders Diptera and Hymenoptera were the principal visitors. Hymenoptera was mainly represented by honey bees (Apis cerana), while Diptera was represented by bean seed fly (Delia platura) and several other species. Some bees and other Hymenoptera species could, however, act as co-pollinators because of their high relative frequency and activity. Compared with open-field cultivation (conventional), the pollination mediating effect of flies and bees was superior in net house, so the yield was high, and it was also found to be slightly higher in the mixed treatment of flies and bees than in the single treatment. Based on the above results, flies and bees were found to be the most active pollinating insects in buckwheat and it is necessary to actively utilize the selected insects to improve buckwheat productivity. This relationship will be utilized in establishing the system of seed production on pollinating regulation of a primary plant.

Objective : The effect Saenggitang (GT), which has been used for amnesia, in Oriental Medicine, on memory and learning ability, was investigated. Methods : Hot water extracts (HWE) of SGT were used for the studies. In passive avoidance performances (step through test), active avoidance performances (lever press test), Motor activity, pentobarbital-induced sleep, 20 and 50 mg/100g of SGT-HWE ameliorated the memory retrieval deficit induced by 40% ethanol. Results : The SGT-HWE did not affect the ambulatory activity of normal mice in normal condition. 20 and 50 mg/100g of SGT-HWE enhanced contextual fear memory, but not cued fear memory in a fear conditioning task, which requires the activation of the NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartase) receptor. SGT-HWE did not affect the motor activity measured by the titling type ambulometer test performed immediately and 24 hr after the administration. SGT-HWE prolonged the sleeping time induced by 50 mg/kg pentobarbital in mice and decreased SMA (spontaneous motor activity) in active avoidance performances (lever press test). Conclusion : These results indicate that the SGT-HWE have an improving effect on the memory retrieval disability induced by ethanol and may act as a stimulating factor for activating the NMDA receptor. and the SGT-HWE has a tranquilizing and anti-anxiety action.

Vehicle safety device such as active headrest and rear detection system has been developing as people are interested about rear end collision more than head on or than front. However, there is no any standard or criterion in order to evaluate vehicle safety device for rear end collision. Also there is no test protocol about rear end collision in vehicle experiment. Therefore, this research developed scenario for experiment about rear end collision in vehicle experiment. Also this research evaluated dangerousness about vehicle test and fitness about re-enacting rear end collision using scenario developed using commercial software (PC-Crash) which can re-enact vehicle collision in virtual vehicle experiment. Scenario developed according to statistics from National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and German In-Depth Accident Study. Scenario has twelve cases which composed of Re-LVS (Rear end Leading Vehicle Stop), Re-LVM (Rear end Lead Vehicle Moving) and scenario for evaluation about malfunction of active headrest.

On the other hand, there has been growing needs for fairness of economy: large companies are regarded to have abused their negotiating power so far. These two very apparent social trend may require active role of large companies to develop sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem in Korea. In this study, the author tries to review current situation and to find what would drive active participation of large companies as seen in other countries.

Total Quality Management(TQM) is the source of competitive advantage for the enterprise faced with the dynamic change of the environment as the customer satisfaction era, unlike the past marketing era. It can have an effect on the strategical choice of the enterprise and becomes a new spotlight of management strategy in business administration recently with various techniques of organizational innovation, such as business re-engineering, benchmarking and so on. The TQM which has an essential part of a Risk Response Process is recognized as strategic aspects in Risk Management. TQM means the total management system that realizes management philosophy of customer satisfaction through continuous improvement and innovational thoughts on the basis of top-management＇s leadership and employees＇ involvement, policy of quality management, customer focus, development of human resources, empowered work forces, and supplier relationships. The data investigating the business performance effect of active factors in TQM based on the shipping firms were collected from 250 shipping firms in Korea by the use of questionnaire method and personal interviews at the selected samples.

The geographical distribution of active physicians who graduated from medical schools before 1985 were studied. Those who had emigrated, hold non-medical jobs, are in the military service, or work as public health physicians and resident staff were excluded from the study. A total of 27,728 physicians were analyzed. Our studies have shown a relationship between the location of the medical schools from the which the physicians have graduated and the geographical regions in which they practice. A statistically significant number of physicians are working near the medical colleges from which they have graduated. That is, those who had graduated from medical schools located in the southern area of the country are presently working in the same region. This relationship was shown to be especially significant for older physicians and female doctors, who work around the area of the medical colleges from which they graduated.
