  • In the ever-changing medical environment, the social participation of medical doctors is becoming more necessary. Currently, there is not enough participation or action by doctors within our society due to reasons such as a lack of educational curriculum in this area. This study aimed to investigate medical students' opinions and attitudes about social participation and action. A total of 438 medical students were surveyed about their attitudes toward doctors' relations with the public, social participation, social action, and medical education for social participation or action. Regarding doctors' relations with the public, participants responded that the government (73.5%) and the media (82.0%) were causing social distrust of doctors, and more than 70% of the respondents answered that doctors were passive when it comes to social participation. When asked about social participation and social action, 76.7% of the students surveyed had experienced social participation, and 28.3% had experienced taking social action. A total of 73.4% of the students answered that medical education needs to be changed, and it is necessary to introduce subjects such as sociology and law to improve social participation and action. The results are significant in that they show medical students' thoughts on social participation and social action as doctors in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We believe that a change of medical curriculum to promote active and collaborative social participation by doctors is necessary.

  • This paper proposes a method and its implementation for searching, converting, and delivering composite events and actions in the U-City Integrated Management Platform to process them efficiently through allocation and collaboration between the platform and u-services. The purpose of this method is to, when a composite event occurs, execute prompt and correct measures to reduce the damage caused by the event and prevent its spread. The proposed method also helps to simplify the complexity of corresponding business processes by modifying composite events and actions that are frequently added, delete, and revised, and delivering them to u-service systems.

  • When interacting with unknown environments, an autonomous agent needs to decide which action or action order can result in a good state and determine the transition probability based on the current state and the action taken. The traditional multiple sequential learning model requires predefined probability of the states' transition. This paper proposes a multiple sequential learning and prediction system with definition of autonomous states to enhance the automatic performance of existing AI algorithms. In sequence learning process, the sensed states are classified into several group by a set of proposed motivation filters to reduce the learning computation. In prediction process, the learning agent makes a decision based on the estimation of each state's cost to get a high payoff from the given environment. The proposed learning and prediction algorithms heightens the automatic planning of the autonomous agent for interacting with the dynamic unknown environment. This model was tested in a virtual library.

  • The present studies were investigated to find out the uterus contractive components and action mechanism of contractive components. We observed that the contractive components of Dianthi Herba were extracted with methanol and dissolved in butanol. The butanol extracts of Dianthi Herba increased uterus contractility, and fraction 2 obtained from butanol extract was more powerful than other fractions. This action was not blocked by atropine, papaverine, prazosin, propranolol, chlorpheniramine, methysergide and diltiazem in vitro.

  • In this paper we introduce the Failure Management System for AREX's Signalling System which is applied by RAMS management. The corrective action report is classified into 3 group, scheduled maintenance, non-scheduled maintenance and the reported failure maintenance. The scheduled maintenance is for the failure detected by periodic inspection and it is concerned as the Preventive Maintenance. The reported failure maintenance is for the failure reported by non-maintenance staff and non-scheduled maintenance includes all corrective action except the works of the previous 2 group. RAMS analysis is based on the FRACAS data connected with the corrective action reports. AREX computerize the all process by the Facility Management System of Integrated Information System.

  • Calculation of the damage impact of chemical accidents is an important element in site, and the initial isolation distance and the protective action distances are significant factors in coping the chemical accident. In this study, three major cities that represent each Province were selected, and the safety distances were calculated considering regional climate conditions. The results were compared with the prescribed values in Emergency Response Guidebook. It is concluded that the regional meteorological conditions such as temperature, vapour pressure, relative humidity, wind speed, and cloud cover should be reflected in estimating the initial isolation distance and the protective action distance.

  • The purpose of this study is to review the relationship between emotional labor and job burnout, and the moderating effects of peer and superior support in social welfare agency. In order to verify and achieve the purposes mentioned above, questionnaire data were gathered and analysed from 349 employees of social welfare agency in western Kangwon-do province. Empirical survey's findings are as follows; First, deep action(DA) appeared to be negatively related with depersonalization and reduced accomplishment. Second, surface action(SA) appeared to be positively related with all job burnout factors(emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced accomplishment). Third, peer support moderated negatively the relationship between emotional labor(DA, SA) and emotional exhaustion. Fourth, superior support moderated negatively the relationship between deep action(DA) and emotional exhaustion.

  • A small-sized isolated 154kV transmission system could be brought out by a separation from whole network due to faults at transmission lines. For such system, where a fault occurs following a reclosing action, we Provided the basis for study to provide an effective load shedding scheme needed to the case of failure of reclosing action as well as the characteristic of reclosing action whether it succeeds or fails.

  • This study was investigated the effects on functional recovery of eccentric exercise-induced muscle damage by phonophoresis transdermal permeation of piroxicam gel and observed the change of amplitude at muscle action potential. Through eccentric exercise-induced muscle damage, performed healthy men and women take eccentric resistance exercise and measured action, potentials. The subjects were divided into three groups of four men each 24 hour, 48 hour, 72 hour. The results of this were as follows: 1. Change of maximal action potential at maximal voluntary contraction : The phonophoresis group was increase more than control group and gel group. 2. Change of average action potential at maximal voluntary contraction : The gel group was increase more than control group and phonophoresis group. 3. Change of maximal action potential at pain subthreshold voluntary contraction : The phonophoresis group was increase more significantly than control group and gel group. 4. Change of average action potential at pain subthreshold voluntary contraction : The phonophoresis group was increase more significantly than control group and gel group. In conclusion, the change of muscle action potential amplitude by eccentric exercise-induced muscle damage showed that the phonophoresis by pulsed ultrasound of piroxicam gel was improved the recovery of muscle function.

  • Under transverse earthquake shaking, arching action of bridge structures develops along the deck between the abutments thus providing the so-called deck resistance. The magnitude of the arching action for bridge structures is dependent on the number of spans, connection condition between deck and abutment or piers, and stiffness ratio between superstructure and substructure. In order to investigate the arching action effects for inelastic seismic responses of PSC Box bridges, seismic responses evaluated by pushover analysis, capacity spectrum analysis and nonlinear time-history analysis are compared for 18 example bridge structures with two types of span numbers (short bridge, SB and long bridge, LB), three types of pier height arrangement (regular, semi-regular and irregular) and three types of connection condition between superstructure and substructure (Type A, B, C). The arching action effects (reducing inelastic displacement and increasing resistance capacity) for short bridge (SB) is more significant than those for long bridge (LB). Semi-regular and irregular bridge structures have more significant arching action than regular bridges.
