  • Objectives : The objective of this study was to examine the academic informationseeking behavior and demand of the oriental medical researcher and to create the base data for establishing a library environment providing a high-quality information service which would aid the activity of such researchers, Methods : We distributed a questionnaire to the one hundred professors of the college of oriental medicine on the method of acquisition of information data, the environment of the library belonging to the college, and the like. Results : $\circled1$ The main class using the academic information service of oriental medicine was revealed to be researchers having a career of 10 to 15 years who had a domestic doctorate in oriental medicine. $\circled2$ When accessing information, the primary information resource used was academic journals. $\circled3$ Of the data forms mentioned in the study, periodicals was used most in number of printed data; computer databases among non-printed data. $\circled4$ The purpose of using an information resource was for performing a research project. $\circled5$ The path of acquisition of information was usually through the materials in their possession. $\circled6$ The greatest difficulty in gathering information was first of all the lack of information owned by the library, and next a lack of time and insufficient knowledge of information search and use. $\circled7$ More than 90% of respondents on the necessity of an expert library answered as "necessary" or "certainly necessary", indicating that the foundation of an expert library is very urgent. Conclusions : This study is beneficial for researchers engaged in oriental medicine to activate the use of information and also it will form a base of data for researchers to establish an environment of expert library in oriental medicine.

  • Due to the growing impact of non-point source pollution and limitation of water treatment technology, a new policy of water quality management, called a source protection, is now becoming more important in drinking water supply. The source protection means that the public agency purchases the pollution sensitive area, such as riparian zone, and prohibit locations of point and non-point sources. Many studies have reported that this new policy is more economical in drinking water supply than the conventional one. However, it is very difficult to determine location and size of the pollution sensitive zone in the watershed. In this paper, we presented the scientific criteria for the priority of the pollution sensitive zone, along with a case study of the upstream watershed of the Paldang Reservoir, Han River. This study includes applications of the analytical hierarchy process(AHP) and a watershed-based land prioritization(WLP) model. After major criteria affecting water quality were selected, the AHP and geographic analysis were performed. The WLP model allowed us to include both quantity and quality criteria, using AHP as the multi-criteria method in making decision and reflecting local characteristics and various needs. By adding a travel-time function, which represents the prototype effectively, the results secured adaptability and scientific objectivity as well. As such, the WLP model appeared to provide reasonable criteria in determining the prioritization of land acquisition. If the tested data are used with a validated travel-time and AHP method is applied after further discussion among experts in such field, highly reliable results can be obtained.

  • In multi robot environment, the action selection strategy is important for the cooperation and coordination of multi agents. However the overlap of actions selected individually by each robot makes the acquisition of cooperation behaviors less efficient. In addition to that, a complex and dynamic environment makes cooperation even more difficult. So in this paper, we propose a control algorithm which enables each robot to determine the action for the effective cooperation in multi-robot system. Here, we propose cooperative algorithm with reinforcement learning to determine the action selection In this paper, when the environment changes, each robot selects an appropriate behavior strategy intelligently. We employ ...

  • Many studies for measuring vibration using image signal are suggested. These methods can measure vibration of multi-points simultaneously. However, it has the disadvantage that is very sensitive to an environment. If the measured environment is not good, image signals can be measured including much background noise. So, it is difficult to obtain accurate vibration from the measured image signals. Another problem is that camera imaging has a resolution limit. Because the resolution of the camera image is relatively much lower than that of a data acquisition system, accurate measuring vibration cannot be performed. In this paper, we proposed the enhanced technique for measuring vibration using camera signal. The key word of this paper is a curve fitting. The curve fitting can exactly detect the measurement line of interested object. So, we can measure the vibration in noisy environment. Also, it can overcome the resolution limit.

  • The new algorithm technique is necessary to incorporate for analyzing and evaluating extreme condition like a nuclear accident. In this study, the combined methodology for measuring the three-dimensional space was compared with SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) and SURF (Speeded-Up Robust Feature) algorithm. The suggested method can be used for the acquisition of spatial information using the robot vision in the districted area of the nuclear facilities. As a result, these data would be helpful for identify the damaged part, degree of damage and determination of recovery sequences.

  • The aim of this study is to develop suitability site indicator of urban-rural return to fishing and to analysis priority of the indicators. The study is based on literature review, expert survey and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) methods. This study found 5 factors(natural environment, acceptance environment, social overhead capital, economy, fishing environment) and 21 detail variables. as a result of AHP, fisheries resources, acquisition convenience of fishing license, income(except fishing), attitude of local resident, one-person household income, high income fishing were showed high priority. This result indicate that economic foundation is most important factor for suitable site of the returning.
