For an efficient sliding mode control system stability and chattering avoidance should be guaranteed. A continuation method using boundary layer is well known as one solution for this. However since not only model uncertainties and disturbances but also control task itself is variable. it is practically impossible to set controller parameters - control discontinuity, control bandwidth, boundary layer thickness - in advance. In this paper first an adaptation law of control discontinuity is introduced to assure system stability and then fuzzy logic based tuning algorithm of design parameters is applied based on monitored performance indices of tracking error, control chattering, and model precision. In the end maximum control bandwidth not exciting unmodeled dynamics and minimum control discontinuity, boundary layer thickness making system stable and free of chattering are found respectively. This eliminates control chattering and enhances control accuracy as much as possible under given control situation. In order to demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm safe headway maintenance control for autonomous transportation system is simulated. The control results show that the proposed algorithm guarantees system stability all the time and tunes control parameters consistently and in consequence implements an efficient control in terms of both accuracy and actuator chattering.

The drone photogrammetry is actively utilized for obtaining highly accurate spatial information and other various monitoring purposes. It is general to plan the drone photogrammetry by referring to previous experiences or cases in order to obtain the required accuracy, but the drone photogrammetry is often carried out again due to poor accuracy. Since the required spatial accuracy of the drone photogrammetry process result becomes the means of objective evaluation regardless of the type of result, it should be determined carefully. Therefore, it is necessary to determine flight height, overlap, number and arrangement of ground control point, and exterior orientation factor acquisition method in order to meet the required 3D positional accuracy for the design of drone photogrammetry project. In this study, previous study cases for the analysis of drone photogrammetry accuracy were carefully analyzed and verified by applying such cases to testing area, and design guideline of drone photogrammetry project for a small area was prepared based on the analysis result. The presented project design guideline is expected to be a great help to business practice although it is not perfect, and if the design guideline is prepared through comprehensive analysis in future, it would be possible to provide a perfect manual.

This study aims to derive a practical coordinate transformation method for the existing geographic information database. After analyzing the status and problems of existing 1/1,000 digital base map and GIS application database, the transformation parameters are estimated and the accuracy of the transformation is determined based on the transformed coordinates. We analyzed the accuracy of a transformation using the published national transformation coefficients as well as the estimated local transformation coefficients using national and urban control points in a study area. In addition, the 1/1,000 digital base map from aerial triangulation is compared with respect to the coordinates of urban control points. Based on the comparison, the biases on the national control points which were used at the time of digital map generation was analyzed. Then, the accuracy of transformed coordinates based on the world geodetic system using local transformation coefficients estimated from urban control points are determined. We also analyzed the transformation accuracy of underground infrastructure database using the same transformation method as the case of 1/1,000 digital base map. Through this study, it was found that the estimation of transformation coefficients by Molodensky-Badekas using urban control points was suitable for a local government. Furthermore, it was obvious that the accuracy of a 2-dimensional affine transformation was comparable to that of 7 parameter transformation for a local area. Applying the coordinate transformation and bias correction, we could transform GIS application database which was built by an offset surveying based on digital base map within the transformation accuracy of 10 cm. Therefore, it was judged that there will not be a big problem on the transformation of the GIS DB to the world geodetic system.

For the shake of control for movement object, control theory like neural network, nonlinear model predictive control(NMPC) is realized on digital high speed computer. Predictor of flight control system(FCS) based nonlinear model predictive control has to be satisfied with response for hard real-time to perform applications on each module in the FCS. Simultaneously, It gives a serious consideration accuracy to give full play to FCS's performance. Error of mathematical aspect affects realization of whole algorithm. But factors of bring mathematical error is not considered to calculate final accuracy on parameter of predictor. In this paper, Predictor was made using load control model on the digital computer for design FCS at hard real-time and is shown response time on realization algorithm. And is shown realization algorithm of high effective predictor over the accuracy. The predictor was realized on the load control model using Euler method, Heun method, Runge-Kutta and Taylor method.
A new control law of a VSCS is illustrated and put into an analytical form. Using the presented control law, a VSCS shows smooth response, low control input and high accuracy in comparison with those by typical control law.

Reference trajectory generation plays a key role in the computer control for accurate position control of machine. Generated trajectories must not only describe the desired tool path accurately, but must also have smooth kinetic profiles in order to maintain higher tracking accuracy, and to avoid exciting the natural modes of the mechanical servo control system. To achieve higher accurate position control, a method of limiting accelerating and decelerating speed data of reference trajectories is proposed to draw the path with an assigned accuracy without any complex operations.

This paper proposes the maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of photovoltaic system using fuzzy based variable step size perturbation & observation(FVSS-PO) method. Conventional PO and incremental conductance(IC)MPPT control algorithm generally uses fixed step size. A small fixed step size will cause the tracking speed to decrease and tracking accuracy of the MPP will decrease due to large fixed step size. Therefore, the fixed step size can't be satisfying both the tracking speed and the tracking accuracy. This paper proposes FVSS-PO MPPT algorithm that adjusts automatically step size of PO by fuzzy control according to operating conditions. The validity of MPPT algorithm proposed in this paper prove through compare with conventional PO MPPT algorithm.
In this paper we develop a now procedure to control stepsize for linear multistep methods applied to semi-explicit index 1 differential-algebraic equations. in contrast to the standard approach the error control mechanism presented here is based on monitoring and contolling both the local and global errors of multistep formulas. As a result such methods with the local-global stepsize control solve differential-algebraic equation with any prescribed accuracy (up to round-off errors). For implicit multistep methods we give the minimum number of both full and modified Newton iterations allowing the iterative approxima-tions to be correctly used in the procedure of the local-global stepsize control. We also discuss validity of simple iterations for high accuracy solving differential-algebraic equations. Numerical tests support the the-oretical results of the paper.

This paper proposes a new approach to the designed of visual feedback control system based on visual servoing method. The main focus of this paper is presented how it is effective to use many features for improving the accuracy of the visual feedback control of industrial articulated robot for assembling and inspection of parts. Some rank conditions, which relate the image Jacobian, and the control performance are derived. It is also proven that the accuracy is improved by increasing the number of features. The effectiveness of redundant features is verified by the real time experiments on a SCARA type robot(FARA) made in samsung electronics company.
Servo drives with microcomputer control provide the possibility of using modern and sophisticated control algorithms. As an additional feature it is possible to implement parallel and/or redundant software and hardware structures to realise safe motion or similar security functions. Unfortunately microcomputer control also has some impact on the behaviour of servo drives. Control algorithm, cycle time, sensors and interface have to be perfectly synchronised. Special control schemes are necessary on the line side (power supply) to meet the actual requirements concerning EMC. This contribution presents experiences and results obtained from a modern digital drive system pointing out the influences of low and high accuracy position sensors and the interdependencies mentioned above.
