This study investigated the extend to which the facilities satisfactorily accommodate people with different disabilities and their specific needs for improving the facilities. Systematic interviews were conducted with 90 disabled people using the non-propertionate stratified cluster random sampling method. Frequency analysis, Chi-square tests, Duncan tests, and analysis of variance(ANOVA) were employed for data analysis. The findings indicated that the respondents' assessment of accommodations and needs for improving accommodations differed by the type of disabilities. People with physical disabilities were the least satisfied with stairs, followed by seating in stadiums and/or theaters. For people with visual disabilities, the lack of guidance and information facilities was the most difficult problem. People with hearing disabilities often pointed out difficulties in using public telephones. meanwhile, people with physical disabilities asked for easy access to assistive devices and improved mobility-related circumstances. yet people with visual disabilities expected to improve way-finding relevant issues, such as detectable warnings on walking surfaces and guidance and information facilities, whereas people with hearing disabilities desired to develop hearing-aid equipments, such as TDD and assistive listening systems.

The study aims to investigate determinants of performance indicator and perceptions of existing and potential customers in accommodation sharing. This study uses data of Airbnb in Busan and Jeju from January 1 to December 31 in 2018, provided by AirDNA. The total number of listed accommodation sharing were 5,109 accommodations in Busan and 11,502 accommodations in Jeju. More than 90 property types of registered accommodation are subcategorized and re-classified in this study. Study 1 examined current usage and effects of factors on performance indicator in tourism destinations by applying Airbnb data. Study 2 investigated effects of perceived factors on satisfaction, intention to use, loyalty, and tourism competitiveness by applying online survey data. This study applies statistical analyses such as factor and regression analyses, ANOVA, t-test, and MANOVA. Results of Study 1 showed that usage and effects of accommodation sharing differ from regulation that is related to sharing types. Effects also differ based on travel destinations. Results of Study 2 showed how customers perceive accommodation sharing differ from pure meaning of sharing. The results of Study 1 and 2 found significant effects of price and service factors on performance indicator and customer satisfaction. The findings of Study 2 showed significant effects on loyalty and tourism competitiveness.

Purpose: This study aimed at finding the optimal input variables of the artificial neural network-based predictive model for the optimal controls of the indoor temperature environment. By applying the optimal input variables to the predictive model, the required time for restoring the current indoor temperature during the setback period to the normal setpoint temperature can be more precisely calculated for the cooling season. The precise prediction results will support the advanced operation of the cooling system to condition the indoor temperature comfortably in a more energy-efficient manner. Method: Two major steps employing the numerical computer simulation method were conducted for developing an ANN model and finding the optimal input variables. In the first process, the initial ANN model was intuitively determined to have input neurons that seemed to have a relationship with the output neuron. The second process was conducted for finding the statistical relationship between the initial input variables and output variable. Result: Based on the statistical analysis, the optimal input variables were determined.

The Onishi model is an objective indicator which can be used to evaluate the relevance of city environmental management in regard to the capacities and processing status of existing urban infrastructure. This study is to analyze the facility carrying capacity and processing status of Jeju Island, a famous tourist site in South Korea. General variables covered by the Onishi model are considered, including water supply, wastewater treatment, waste disposal, and air pollution. Furthermore, the facility carrying capacities for transportation, such as airports and ports, as well as accommodations are assessed as variables pertinent to the characteristics of Jeju island. With the annual number of tourists exceeding that of residents on the island, more facilities for sewage treatment and waste disposal are required. Furthermore, transportation and accommodations used by tourists have already exceeded their capacity. For the future sustainability of Jeju Island, a plan will be needed for adjusting the volume of tourists based on the capacity of each relevant facility.

본 연구에서는 농촌관광 방문객에게 제공되는 편의시설을 유형화하고 어떤 특징을 가진 방문객이 어떤 편의시설을 선호하는지를 규명하기 위한 방법과 그 분석결과를 제시하였다. 이를 위하여 우선 2단계 군집분석법을 사용하여 농촌관광 편의시설을 유형화하였다. 그 다음으로 군집분석에 사용되는 변인이 범주형 변인이 있을 경우 전통적인 군집분석 방법을 적용할 수 없기 때문에 2단계 군집분석을 하였다. 본 연구는 2단계 군집분석법이 범주형 변인으로 측정된 농촌관광의 편의시설을 유형화하는 데 매우 유용하다는 것을 보여 주고 있다. 다중로짓 모형을 사용하여 특정 편의시설 유형을 선호할 확률에 영향을 미치는 농촌관광 방문자의 사회인구학적 특성과 여행특성을 규명하였다. 즉, 다중로짓 모형을 통해 참조항(일반농가형)으로 설정된 편의시설 유형에 비해 특정 편의시설을 선호할 확률에 영향을 미치는 소비자의 특성을 규명할 수 있다는 것이 본 연구의 특징이다.

This paper aims to simulate by FDS(Fire Dynamics Simulator) the distributions of temperature and smoke on fires in accommodations on boards. The paper focuses on analysis of temperature at fire occurrence and soot density. The purpose of this study is to predict the possibility of safe escape and efficient fire extinguishing method using fire simulation results.

본 연구는 한국을 재방문하는 외래 관광객의 특성을 분석하였다. 한국을 재방문하는 외래 관광객의 특성을 분석한 결과 인구통계학적 특성에 있어서 외래 관광객의 방문 횟수에 따라 성별, 나이, 국가별로 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 여행 특성에 있어서는 외래 관광객의 방문 횟수에 따라 여행형태, 동반자수, 방문 목적, 이용 숙박 시설, 주요 방문지, 방문 권역에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 여행지출 경비에 있어서는 외래 관광객의 방문횟수에 따라 1인당 개별 숙박비, 1인당 본인 거주국 지불 경비에서, 만족도에 있어서는 외래 관광객의 방문 횟수에 따라 출입국 절차, 대중교통, 숙박, 음식, 쇼핑, 관광지 매력, 관광 안내 서비스, 치안에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 여행 후 행동의도 및 이미지 평가에 있어서는 외래 관광객의 방문 횟수에 따라 향후 3년 내 재방문 의향, 타인 추천 의향, 여행 전 한국 이미지, 여행 후 한국 이미지에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 외래 관광객의 재방문율을 높이기 위해서는 이러한 특성을 고려한 관광 상품을 개발하는 것이 관광 수익을 극대화 하는데 필요하다.

본 연구는 충북 제천지역의 전통호텔 건립에 대한 타당성과 선호도를 파악하고, 향후 개발방향에 대한가이드라인을 제시하고자 한다. 설문지는 제천의 인근지역(단양, 청주, 원주)에 각 50부씩, 수도권은 100부를 포함한 300부를 배포하여 248부를 회수하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다.1. 전통숙박시설의 건축형태는 외관(한옥)/내부(서양식)의 절충형, 10만원 미만의 숙박요금, 전통음식점, 전통체험관 및 교육시설의 부대시설이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 2. 전통숙박시설의 이용목적에서 적절한 숙박요금과 위치(주변 관광지와의 연계)를 중요하게 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 3. '한옥과 서양식의 혼합형'의 건축형태에서 10만원 또는 15만원대의 객실요금, 자연친화적이면서 전통문화를 체험할 수 있는 공간을 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 건축형태와 전통숙박시설에서 '한옥/서양식 절충형'은 객실/식음료의 적절한 가격, 청결과 매우 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The study aims at assessing information on cultural festivals furnished through the internet homepage of a provincial government. The study examines 29 tourist festivals of ˝Cultural Festivals of Korea 2001˝, designated by the Ministry of Culture and Tournism. Based on the inquiring table, framed through the previous study, each festival´s information was surveyed and analyzed, by visiting the homepages of provincial governments. The results of the study show that 1) ˝The information of festival˝ is low in quality. Particularly, ˝the contents of festival˝ needs to be improved and expanded and ˝the festival periods˝ should be brought up to date. These are the important factors in making a decision to participate in the festival and the chief attraction of a homepage, well-planned and detailed information can influence more tourists who are interested in visiting a festival. 2) Seventeen festivals support ˝foreign language˝. But ˝festival information˝ is weak as it provides only an outline of festival and doesn´t even contain the date and contents of festival. Valuable information, like transportations, accommodations and restaurants when tourists visit a tourist spot, and detailed festival contents should be provided. 3) ˝Search˝ and ˝Q and A˝ are function which provide specifics for users. In addition to the homepage of a local government, these functions on the web page of cultural festivals or on an exclusive web page of tourism is required. 4) The homepage of festivals should offer ˝the information of participation˝. The convenience of information searchers should be considered by providing them information such as local prices, transportations, accommodations and restaurants which are necessary to participate in festival.

This study presents empirical evidence of the benefit of viewing narrative video clips on embedded virtual reality (VR) websites of hotels to relieve travel anxiety. As the effectiveness of using VR functions to relieve travel anxiety has been shown, we proposed that a VR website enhanced with narrative video clips could relieve travelers' anxiety about accommodations by showing the important aspects of a hotel. Thus, we created a website with a narrative video showing the escape route from a hotel room and another narrative video showing the surrounding neighborhood. We then conducted experiments by having human subjects explore the enhanced VR website and fill out a questionnaire. The results confirmed our hypothesis that there is a statistically significant relationship between relief from travel anxiety and the use of narrative videos on embedded VR websites of hotels.
