Recently, the potential risks of tank lorry transportation from the petrochemical plant have been increasing, so the research was performed to build up the evaluation criterion of the transportation safety, as well as aggressive risk+assessment of a variety of chemical materials. This research was applied to the Maximum Credible Accident Analysis technique and modeled on the risk management of chemical transportation using the following four steps for risk evaluation, firstly the comparison of representative fype and standard of hand ling chemical materials transported by tank vehicles secondly, specific classification of potential hazards thirdly, grasp and recognition of virtual accident scenario at last, the risk evaluation of virtual accident scenario(qualitative/quantitative - chemical release modeling).
In a postulated severe core damage accident in a PHWR, multiple failures of core cooling systems may lead to the collapse of pressure tubes and calandria tubes, which may ultimately relocate inside the calandria vessel forming a terminal debris bed. The debris bed, which may reach high temperatures due to the decay heat, is cooled by the moderator in the calandria. With time, the moderator is evaporated and after some time, a hot dry debris bed is formed. The debris bed transfers heat to the calandria vault water which acts as the ultimate heat sink. However, the questions remain: how long would the vault water be an ultimate heat sink, and what would be the failure mode of the calandria vessel if the heat sink capability of the reactor vault water is lost? In the present study, a numerical analysis is performed to evaluate the thermal loads and the stresses in the calandria vessel following the above accident scenario. The heat transfer from the molten corium pool to the surrounding is assumed to be by a combination of radiation, conduction, and convection from the calandria vessel wall to the vault water. From the temperature distribution in the vessel wall, the transient thermal loads have been evaluated. The strain rate and the vessel failure have been evaluated for the above scenario.
A steam generator tube rupture (SGTR) accident, which is a partial reactor building bypass scenario, has a low probability and high consequences. SAMG has been used to manage the progression of severe accidents and the release of fission products induced by an SGTR at the Wolsong plants. Four of the six SAGs in the SAMG are used to manage the progression of a severe accident induced by an SGTR at the Wolsong plants. The results of the ISAAC code calculation have shown that the proper use the SAMG can stop a severe accident from progressing and keep the reactor building intact during a severe accident. These results confirm that the SAMG is an effective means of managing the progression of severe accidents initiated by an SGTR at the Wolsong plants.
This study suggests ubiquitous railway disaster prevention system that gearing Ubiquitous Sensor Network system information take to the subway fire accident information which emergency response procedure as occurring subway fire accident scenario. Also it is proposed that emergency response system though fire scenario. collected Information was analyzed each system over providing information and it is designed to exchanging information structure though relation system. The ubiquitous railway disaster prevention system basically consists by four unit stages as prevention, preparedness, response and recovery system. Especially, in this system can supply real time accident information to the relevant government offices and public through forecasting and warning system by utilizing recognition of the five senses in case of accident. also, it is build that to make decisions as linking 2-dimension and 3-dimension space information interface of ubiquitous sensor networks and expected scenarios.

Hydrogen is emerging as a next-generation energy source and development and supply of FCEV (hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle) is expected to occur rapidly. Accordingly, measures to respond to hydrogen car accidents are required and researches on the safety of hydrogen cars are being actively conducted. In this study, In this study, we developed a hydrogen car accident scenarios suitable for domestic conditions for the safety evaluation of hydrogen car in road tunnels through analysis of existing experiments and research data and analyzed and presented the hazard distance according to the accident results of the hydrogen car accident scenarios. The accident results according to the hydrogen car accident scenario were classified into minor accidents, general fires, jet flames and explosions. The probability of occurrence of each accident results are predicted to be 93.06%, 1.83%, 2.25%, and 2.31%. In the case of applying the hydrogen tank specifications of FCEV developed in Korea, the hazard distance for explosion pressure (based on 16.5 kPa) is about 17.6 m, about 6 m for jet fire, up to 35 m for fireball in road tunnel with a standard cross section (72 m2).
This paper presents a set of typical pseudo-accident scenarios related to major equipments in petrochemical plants, which would be useful for performing such quantitative risk analysis techniques as fault tree analysis, event tree analysis, etc. These typical scenarios address what the main hazard of each equipment might be and how the accident might develop from an "initiating event". The proposed set of accident scenarios consists of total thirteen (13) scenarios specific for five (5) major equipments like reactor, distillation column, etc., and has been determined and screened out of one hundred and twenty-five (125) potential accident scenarios that were generated by performing semi-quantitative risk analysis practically for twenty-five (25) petrochemical processes, considering advices from the operation experts. It is assumed that with simple consideration or incorporation of plant-specific conditions only, the proposed accident scenarios could be easily reorganized or adapted for the relevant process with less time and labor by the safety engineers concerned in the petrochemical industries.ndustries.
Benzene is a class 4 hazardous material according to the Act on the Safety Control of Hazardous Substances. This study qualitatively evaluated the damage size of a "toxic" accident and "pool fire" accidents based on benzene in a virtual scenario of a fire and leakage accident during unloading at a port facility. The KORA program was used as an evaluation method, which is supported as a universal program by the National Institute of Chemical Safety. The range of damage effects of a benzene-induced fire and leakage accident was predicted. In the case of toxic damage range, the accident's damage effect range for the "worst case scenario" was reduced by up to 5.11% with a decrease in the size of the leakage hole. In the case of the leakage time, the damage effect range increased to 145.12% with a 10 min leakage time compared to that of a 5 min leakage time and went up to 20 min (212.29%) with a 20 min leakage time. In the case of pool-fire-induced damage, the damage effect range by radiant heat in the "worst case scenario" was 228.8 m in radius from the center of the handling facility. In the "alternative scenario," the damage effect range by radiant heat was reduced by up to 8.26% compared to that in the "worst case scenario" since the size of the leakage hole was decreased by reducing the cross-sectional area of the pipe.
This paper contains that the current emergency response procedure through the railroad accident type at domestic and foreign, and the response program which is more systematic as a result of improving weaknesses. Because the response program at home is less sufficient than developed country's, we have made an investigation into system of classification in America, British, Germany, Japan for organizing separate emergency response code. we have researched the recognition response of five senses for minimizing the accident damage in a way of spreading the emergency response type analyzed through the accident procedure according to the feature of five senses by the first recognizer. Based on the first recognitions response of five senses, the scenario has been established according to each types and the criteria of accident has been researched through classifying the recognition of five senses response level, early response level, self-response level, outside support level.

The containment response during the first 24 hours of a low-pressure severe accident scenario in a nuclear power plant with a two-loop Westinghouse-type pressurized water reactor was simulated with the CONTAIN 2.0 computer code. The accident considered in this study is a large-break loss-of-coolant accident, which is not successfully mitigated by the action of safety systems. The analysis includes pressure and temperature responses, as well as investigation into the influence of spray on the retention of fission products and the prevention of hydrogen combustion in the containment.
Temporary residence in disaster scenarios emergency response system designed for utilizing emergency incident types identified through the rapid emergency response procedures and proper application of the resulting accident is very important in order to minimize the damage. In this study, emergency disaster expected to analyze the potential for accidents, the possible accident scenarios emergency disaster preparedness These were derived on the basis of temporary residence in the emergency scenario, the scenario for the emergency response and recovery measures were derived. In addition, each event of an emergency response scenario to be taken during the emergency response requirements for emergency response to a step-by-step behavior was defined by the subject. In addition, subject-specific, step-by-step emergency disaster scenarios emergency response is quick and can be done in a comprehensive foundation was laid.
