폴리에틸렌 보트의 내구성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Estimation of Fatigue Performance of Polyethylene Boat)

  • 선체 내구성은 기존 선급 규격에 의하여 구조 치수를 결정한 후 이러한 치수의 선체구조에 대하여 스펙트랄과 결정론적 및 간이 방법에 의하여 평가되고 있다. 이러한 방법은 선체재료를 선급 규격에서 제안하고 있는 재료로 구성하는 경우에는 적용할 수 있으나 선체 재료를 신소재로 구성하는 경우에는 적용할 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 폴리에틸렌 보트 선체에 대한 피로 손상을 평가하기 위하여 선체에 부하되는 단기간 선체 가속도를 직접 측정하고 이러한 데이터를 기초로 구조설계와 피로수명평가방법이 확립되지 못한 소형 선박의 선체 내구성을 선형누적손상 법칙으로 평가하는 방법을 제안하였다. 개발된 폴리에틸렌 보트의 경우 최대 가속도 상태에서 보트에 부하되는 최대 Von-Mises 응력은 1.8MPa로서 $1{\times}10^9$ 사이클 피로강도 5.9MPa 아래에 있고 유한피로수명개념을 적용한 폴리에틸렌 보트의 내구수명은 415년으로 평가되어져 거의 무한수명을 가지고 있다.

고출력 형광체변환 백색 LED 패키지의 가속시험 (Acceleration Test for Package of High Power Phosphor Converted White Light Emitting Diodes)

  • This study deals with the accelerated life test of high power phosphor converted white Light Emitting Diodes (High power LEDs). Samples were aged at $110^{\circ}C$/85% RH and $130^{\circ}C$/85% RH up to 900 hours under non-biased condition. The stress induced a luminous flux decay on LEDs in all the conditions. Aged devices exhibited modification of package silicon color from white to yellowish brown. The instability of the package contributes to the overall degradation of optical lens and structural degradations such as generating bubbles. The degradation mechanisms of lumen decay and reduction of spectrum intensity were ascribed to hygro-mechanical stress which results in package instabilities.

  • 엘리베이터 와이어로프의 수명은 제품의 매우 중요한 특성 가운데 하나로서 사용자의 안전 및 장비의 정비 정책과 밀접한 관계가 있다. 엘리베이터 와이어로프의 수명을 사용조건에서 측정하는 것은 매우 비경제적이다. 이 연구에서는 엘리베이터 와이어로프 (8x19W-IWRC)의 가속열화시험 데이터를 활용하여 와이어로프의 수명을 추정하는 방법을 다루었다. 굽힘피로시험기를 이용하여 가속열화시험을 진행하였으며 가속변수로는 인장하중을 사용하였다. 와이어로프의 수명은 대수정규분포를 가정하였고, 선형회귀모형을 이용하여 가수명을 구한 후 가속수명모형을 이용하여 와이어로프의 수명을 추정하는 방법과 고장 확률에 대한 로지스틱 회귀모형을 이용하여 추정하는 방법을 제시하고 두 모형의 수명 추정결과를 비교하였다.

  • Rail-pad is an important and readily replaceable component of a railway track, as it is the elastic layer between the rail and the sleeper. Characteristics and useful lifetime prediction of rail-pad was very important in design procedure to assure the safety and reliability. In this paper, the degradation of rail pad properties as a function of their in-service life is studied with a view of developing a technique for predicting the optimum period of track maintenance with regard to pad replacement. In order to investigate the useful lifetime, the accelerate test were carried out. Accelerated test results changes as the threshold are used for assessment of the useful life and time to threshold value were plotted against reciprocal of absolute temperature to give the Arrhenius plot. By using the acceleration test, several useful lifetime prediction for rail-pads were proposed.

  • Recently, the design process for a railway bogie frame in Europe has been carried out according to the norm EN 13749. The activities in the norm EN shall demonstrate that the design of the bogie frame fulfills the acceptances of 4 steps of the program such as structural calculation, static tests, fatigue test and on-tracks tests. At the end of the acceptance program, the on-tracks tests have the aim to measure the real stress history generated in operation and to verify that they are reasonably next to those calculated and measured on the test rig. Therefore, in order to assure the safety of the railway vehicle, it is important to examined the durability of that under load histories measured from on-tracks tests. In this study, under variable amplitude loading based on the actual acceleration history, fatigue analysis of the welding bogie frame is investigated by using durability software. Moreover, the fatigue life of the frame under the loading in the norm EN fatigue test condition is evaluated and compared with the life under variable amplitude loading.

  • In this paper, The evaluation of durability of the PC Panel lining for tunnel structure was examined through the rapid test by carbonation and freezing and thawing. Also for the purpose of improvement of durability. Namely, the durable characteristics of PC Panel lining by carbonation and freezing and thawing, was evaluated by rapid test and long-term field exposure test and main influence factors were derived. As a result of test, Correlation of accelerating test in deterioration chamber and long-term field exposure test, it will be expected that the proposed correlation well to the prediction of life expectancy of structure and is contributed greatly in the future.

가속열화에 따른 IV절연전선 피복의 과전류 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Over-current Characteristics of IV Insulated Wire Sheath According to Accelerated Degradation)

  • 본 논문은 가속열화에 따른 IV절연전선 피복의 과전류 특성에 관한 연구이다. IV절연전선 피복의 절연열화를 위해 가속수명시험 모형 중 아레니우스 방정식을 이용한 가속열화실험을 진행하여 등가수명 0년, 10년, 20년, 30년, 40년 실험시료를 제작하였다. 그 후 실험시료 대상으로 허용전류 100%~500% 과전류를 인가하여 전선피복에서 최초 연기 및 탄화 발생시간을 측정하였고, 등가수명이 증가함에 따라 최초 연기 및 탄화 발생시간이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 세부적으로 과전류 270%에서 등가수명 0년을 기준으로 등가수명 40년의 전기화재 위험성이 3.2배 증가하였다. 또한, 과전류 255% 및 260% 인가 시 등가수명 40년에서만 탄화가 발생하여 가속열화에 따른 화재위험성이 비약적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 추가적으로 FT-IR과 SEM을 이용하여 IV절연전선 피복의 등가수명에 따른 특성 및 표면 변화의 차이를 확인하였다.

  • Korea Institute of Construction Materials founded Seosan Outdoor Exposure Test Site 2005 at Korea, which is a part of Worldwide Exposure Network (WEN). To evaluate the test site along with other exposure test sites, three different types of paints have been under real time weathering conditions at three major weathering test facilities around the world. Using these test specimens several spectroscopic experiments along with physical tests have been performed. Also acceleration tests have been performed using the same paints. The correlation of weathered paints among three different test facilities and accelerated test results has been compared. From the results the reliability of Seosan Weathering Test Facility and reasonable life time prediction tests are discussed.

  • In previous study, make an attempt to estimate exhaust valve seat and seat-ring wear acceleration factor for engine durability test with measuring and consideration of wear mechanism. But found abnormal initial wear rate in exhaust valve seat-ring. And have to improve exhaust valve seat-ring wear rate for reliability reason, because next GDI/Turbo engine is based on this engine and GDI/Turbo engine have higher combustion pressure and higher thermal load. In this study, Trying to find the cause of abnormal wear factor, improve valve-train durability by change specification & design of parts and verify variant parts for improving durability of valve-train. And then I would like to propose a design guide line of valve-train system in a reliability point of view, besides make a complement of previous study.

Optimal Design of Partially Accelerated Life Testing for Multi-Component Mixed Systems

  • In this paper we consider optimal designs of partially accelerated life testing which is devised for multi-component mixed systems with the considerably long lifetime. Test items are run at both use condition and accelerated condition until a specified censoring time. The optimal criterion for the sample-proportion allocated to accelerated condition is to minimize asymptotic variance of the maximum likelihood estimators of the acceleration factor and hazard rates.
