This paper based on spiral vector, three phase induction motor is described a detailed modeling by a phase segment methode. Based on this model, A torque control and the equation of regenerative power for the induction motor drive, based on the field acceleration method(FAM), is presented. The speed control system is designed to be applied voltage source inverters that is easy the current type feedback of power regeneration for motor drive. The ability of shaving power to be measured power regeneration has been investigated in speed acceleration and reduction. And it is change of stator resistance that the voltage commands include error, the ripple of exited voltage and torque occur from the results. The experimental tests verify the performance of the proposed regenerative drive for FAM, proving that good behavior of the drive is achieved in the transient and steady-state operating conditions.
The aiming ability is a key to improve the accuracy performance of the gun pointing system in the ground military vehicle. This paper describes the new detection method of chatter vibration using disturbance acceleration in the pointing structure. In order to analysis the vibration trends of the pointing system occurred while the vehicle driving, acceleration data obtained from vehicle was processed by using data processing algorithm with moving average and Hilbert transform. The specific mode constants of acceleration were obtained from various disturbances. Vehicle velocity, road condition and property of pointing structure were considered as factors which make the change of vibration trend in vehicle dynamics. Finally, back propagation neural networks have been applied to the pattern recognition of the classification of vibration signal in various driving conditions. Results of signal processing were compared with other condition result and analysed.
Acceleration signal characteristics of a steel plate, impacted by steel balls, were studied in an attempt to apply the experimental results to the impact location and mass estimation of metallic loose parts in the cooling system of nuclear power plants. Experimental results show that the variation of maximum acceleration amplitude and impact contact time due to the change of ball mass and impact velocity can be well explained by the Hertz impact theory. The frequency spectral pattern shifted slightly in spite of the increase of impact velocity and impact location. Ball mass, however, strongly affected the frequency spectral pattern. Hence the frequency spectrum can be used for estimation of the mass of unknown loose parts in the cooling system.
This paper proposes a portable ECG monitoring system, which integrates uptodate PDA and RF communication technology. The aim of the study is to acquire the subject's biomedical signal without any constraint. It has two types of transmission mode, which are total signal transmission mode and HR(heart rate)/SC(step count) transmission mode. In audition, wireless communication technology uses Zigbee Wireless PAN and can work in low-power mode, which is one of the advantages of ZiBbee communication technology. The developed system is composed of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter has three-axial acceleration sensor. ECG amplifier and Zigbee communication controller. In total signal transmission mode, it can send data 50 packets per second whose transmission speed corresponds to 300 ECG samples and 60 acceleration samples. In HR/SG transmission mode, it can calculate heart rate from EEG data with 216 samples per second and step count from acceleration data and send a packet every cardiac cycle. The receiver forwards the received data to PDA, where the data can be stored and displayed. Therefore, the developed device enables to continuous monitoring for Activities of Daily Living(ADL). Also, this method will reduce medical costs in the aged society.
In this study, the algorithm which can estimate displacements from the acceleration data is developed. For proving the validity of this study, the calculated displacements are compared with the measured displacements through the forced vibration tests in the laboratory. So the sampling frequency and filtering range for the estimation of the displacements are proposed. Finally, these results are applied to estimate displacements from the acceleration data obtained from the real bridge.
In this paper, the natural frequency and damping ratio are analyzed with the acceleration signal of an Euler-Bernoulli beam using the impact hammer test. The results are presented according to crack depth and position using the recursive least squares method. The results are compared and investigated with FEM analysis of CATIA. Both methods agree well with each other regarding the natural mode characteristics. The captured acceleration can be used for the calculation of the natural frequency and damping ratio using time series methods that are based on the measured acceleration. Using these data, a recursive time series model with the acceleration signal was configured and the behaviors of the natural frequency and damping ratio were investigated and analyzed. Finally, the results can be used for the prediction of crack position and depth under different crack conditions for an Euler-Bernoulli beam.
This study aimed to develop a model to accurately predict the acceleration of structural systems during an earthquake. The acceleration and applied force of a structure were measured at current time step and the velocity and displacement were estimated through linear integration. These data were used as input to predict the structural acceleration at next time step. The computation tool used was the Volterra/Wiener neural network (VWNN) which contained the mathematical model to predict the acceleration. For alleviating problems of relatively large-dimensional and nonlinear systems, the VWNN model was utilized as the signal processing tool, including the Taylor series components in the input nodes of the neural network. The number of the intermediate layer nodes in the neural network model, containing the training and simulation stage, was evaluated and optimized. Discussions on the influences of the gradient descent with adaptive learning rate algorithm and the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, both for determining the network weights, on prediction errors were provided. During the simulation stage, different earthquake excitations were tested with the optimized settings acquired from the training stage to find out which of the algorithms would result in the smallest error, to determine a proper simulation model.
Speech intelligibility is investigated on a conference room-window glass coupled system. Using MLS(Maximum Length Sequency) signal as a sound source, acceleration and velocity responses of the window glass are measured by accelerometer and laser doppler vibrometer. MTF(Modulation Transfer Function) is used to identify the speech transmission characteristics of the room and window system. STI(Speech Transmission Index) is calculated by using MTF and speech intelligibility of the room and the window glass is estimated. Speech intelligibilities by the acceleration signal and the velocity signal are compared and the possibility of the wiretapping is investigated. Finally, intelligibility of the conversation sound is examined by the subjective test.

The photoplethysmography (PPG) signal measured from a mobile healthcare device contains various motion artifacts occurring from a patient’s movements. Recently, to reject the motion artifacts, the method of using an acceleration sensor was suggested, but such sensors are very expensive. Therefore, this study deals with a novel sensor device to replace the acceleration sensor, and evaluated the performance of the proposed sensor experimentally. In the results of the experiments, it is shown that the proposed sensor device can reconstruct the PPG signal despite the occurrence of motion artifacts, and also that the variation rate in heart rate analysis was 1.22%. According to the experimental results, the proposed method can be applied to design a low-cost device.
