In this study, the effects were analyzed by applying the vibration absorption liner into the guide rail bracket as a part of method to reduce the vibration and noise on the high-rise apartment. As the result of vibration absorption liner performance, it was checked that the level of vibration and noise was reduced around 65.49% in the car side and around 90.05% in the counterweight side. Therefore, the vibration absorption effect by the vibration absorption liner of elevator guide rail bracket became fairly good. In case of the vibration absorption liner application, there was an effect on the reduction of 7.26 to 22.22% at hoistway section area, 3,840,000 to 9,780000 KRW at the cost of material and installation by comparing with the damping beam application. Also, in case of the vibration absorption liner application with light weight instead of damping beam with heavy weight, it was thought to become significant effect at preventing the safety from the accidents on installation site.
The vibration resulting from railway operation is transmitted through the tunnel to adjacent buildings and the transmitted vibration radiates structure-borne noise which is causing a lot of public complaints by its negative effects to the buildings near tunnel. This study performed the parametric study about sleeper space and track support stiffness in order to reduce vibration on the concrete track and near structures. In this study, it was compared and performed vibration analysis and field test about these. In addition, as changing the sleeper space and track support stiffness, vibration of the structures was evaluated. Via this study, in terms of reducing the figure of the sleeper space and track support stiffness to the half, as vibrating acceleration transmitted through concrete round is getting reduced, it transmitted through the tunnel was analysed to the same phenomena. In conclusion, suggested track structure into this study, it can be applied to the track structure of existing line, and it is expected to be a new effective anti-vibration method to prevent public complaints.
Recently, railway industry has been developed not only functional parts such as acceleration and high performance of the railway but also emotional parts such as improved ride comfort and blocking noise. However, some important components of railway such as wheel and rail always had exposed too much operation time, cyclic load and rolling contact directly. The variations of load, vibration and chemical compositions were caused of wheel and rail having a lot of different types of contact fatigue damages. Therefore, It is necessary to improve inspection and maintenance technology in order to ensure safety and reliability of railway. Many researchers have already been reported the technology. Magnetic camera, one of the non-destructive testing technique can be used to inspect and evaluate the changes of magnetic field in ferromagnetic and paramagnetic materials with cracks. When an electromagnetic is applied to a specimen, a magnetic field will be distorted around a crack on the specimen. In present paper, the distribution of magnetic property in wheel with cracks using magnetic camera had investigated. The crack can be detected and evaluated by distribution analysis of magnetic field. The magnetic camera technique can be detected and evaluated the crack by rolling contact fatigue.
This paper discusses the applicability of Acoustic Emission (AE) to assess the damage in reinforced concrete (RC) structures subjected to complex dynamic loadings such as those induced by earthquakes. The AE signals recorded during this type of event can be complicated due to the arbitrary and random nature of seismicity and the fact that the signals are highly contaminated by many spurious sources of noise. This paper demonstrates that by properly filtering the AE signals, a very good correlation can be found between AE and damage on the RC structure. The basic experimental data used for this research are the results of fourteen seismic simulations conducted with a shake table on an RC slab supported on four steel columns. The AE signals were recorded by several low-frequency piezoelectric sensors located on the bottom surface of the slab. The evolution of damage under increasing values of peak acceleration applied to the shake table was monitored in terms of AE and dissipated plastic strain energy. A strong correlation was found between the energy dissipated by the concrete through plastic deformations and the AE energy calculated after properly filtering the signals. For this reason, a procedure is proposed to analyze the AE measured in a RC structure during a seismic event so that it can be used for damage assessment.

A recently developed filbert-Huang transform (HHT) technique is applied to detect damage locations of bridge structures. The HHT may be used to identify the locations of damages which exhibit nonlinear and nonstationary behavior, since the HHT can show the instantaneous frequency characteristics of the signal. A series of numerical simulations were conducted for bridge pier systems with damages under a controlled load with sweeping frequency. The results of the numerical simulation study indicate that the HHT method can reasonably identify damage locations using a limited number of acceleration sensors under severe measurement noise condition.
For the past ten years' efforts have been made to introduce environmentally-friendly "green" electric-taxi and maneuvering airplane systems. The stated purpose of e-taxi systems is to reduce the taxiing fuel expenses, expedite pushback procedures, reduce gate congestion, reduce ground crew involvement, and reduce noise and air pollution levels at large airports. Airplane-based autonomous traction electric motors receive power from airplane's APU(s) possibly supplemented by onboard batteries. Using additional battery energy storages ads significant inert weight. Systems utilizing nose-gear traction alone are often traction-limited posing serious dispatch problems that could disrupt airport operations. Existing APU capacities are insufficient to deliver power for tractive taxiing while also providing for power off-takes. In order to perform comparative and objective analysis of taxi tractive requirements a "standard" taxiing cycle has been proposed. An analysis of reasonably expected tractive resistances has to account for steepest taxiway and runway slopes, taxiing into strong headwind, minimum required coasting speeds, and minimum acceptable acceleration requirements due to runway incursions issues. A mathematical model of tractive resistances was developed and was tested using six different production airplanes all at the maximum taxi/ramp weights. The model estimates the tractive force, energy, average and peak power requirements. It has been estimated that required maximum net tractive force should be 10% to 15% of the taxi weight for safe and expeditious airport movements. Hence, airplanes can be dispatched to move independently if the operational tractive taxi coefficient is 0.1 or higher.
Mesh denoising is a method to remove noise applying various filters. However, those methods usually spend much time since filtering is performed on CPU. Because GPU is specialized for floating point operations and faster than CPU, real-time processing for complex operations is possible. Especially mesh denoising is adequate for GPU parallel processing since it repeats the same operations for vertices or triangles. In this paper, we propose mesh denoising algorithm based on bilateral filtering using GPU parallel processing to reduce processing time. It finds neighbor triangles of each vertex for applying bilateral filter, and computes its normal vector. Then it performs bilateral filtering to estimate new vertex position and to update its normal vector.

The development of modern civilization result from the abundance of material. Yet modern people live with chronic mild stress. Excessive chronic mild stress leads to various diseases. From the risk of the disease in order to protect our bodies need to manage chronic mild stress. The purpose of this study is to inspection the effectiveness of detecting in chronic mild stress using the Multi-sensor system. The Multi-sensor system is designed that can be measure three kinds of vital signals of chronic mild stress for the detection. First Photoplethysmogram(PPG), second Electro Dermal Activity(EDA), third Skin Temperature(SKT). The ages and occupations exposed to chronic mild stress, people often use out of this system was applied to dairy products(Pen). In addition, vital signals that occur when the variety of noise was used to remove the accelerometer. Chronic mild stress by the analysis of measured vital signals from Multi-sensor system to the measurement information to a PC to a wireless transmission(Bluetooth). In this study, using Multi-sensor system writing conditions and a variety of situations in the movement to measure vital signals and measurement results verified the accuracy and reliability. Through this measure chronic mild stress in everyday life and managing to maintain will help more healthy lifestyle.
Research on vibration of a vehicle with a transversely mounted 4-cylinder engine was performed using a vector synthesis method, Data of the engine vibration for the vector synthesis method was obtained experimentally and the data was ODS-fitted to calculate vibration level on any engine location assuming that the engine is rigid body in the frequency range of interest. In order to derive the excitation force on the vehicle body, the displacements were converted from the acceleration of engine. The transfer functions from engine mounts to toe pan on the floor were obtained experimentally. The vibration level on the toe pan was predicted by multiplying the excitation force by the transfer function. The predicted vibration level was compared with experimental data and the result was reasonable. Using the developed method, analysis was made for the effect of body fixture conditions of the vehicle when testing the engine vibration and for the effect of the transfer functions when the engine is installed or when the engine is removed. Finally the degree of contribution for 12 transfer paths was calculated.
In apartment buildings, floor-impact sound has been regarded as the major source that causes complaints from residents. It is mainly due to the use of light-weight structures and the lack of researches in terms of floor-impact sound. The purposes of this study are analyzing the characteristics of vibration response and sound radiation of 12type void slabs in the improvements void slab by impedance method and finding the fittest improvements void slab on the 12type void slab. The main results of this study are summarized as below: (1) In the $\frac{1}{3}$ octave band level of sound radiation, $\frac{1}{3}$ octave band levels, measured from four-divided improvement void slab(No.8) and eight-divided improvement void slab(No.12), are 10~25 dB lower than that of standard void slab(No.1) in the 1250 Hz. Especially, eight-divided improvement void slab(No.12) is the best void slab in terms of radiation efficiency of sound level. (2) In the correlation relation of acceleration and sound radiation, standard void slab(No.1), four-divided improvement void slab(No.8), SK standard four-hole void slab(No.10), and eight-divided improvement void slab(No.12) are positive correlation relation.
