굴삭기용 무인조종로봇 신뢰성 보증 시험에 대한 연구 (Reliability Qualification Test of a Unmanned Control Robot System for an Excavator)

  • 본 논문은 개발 중에 있는 굴삭기 무인조종 로봇을 대상으로 시스템 신뢰도 평가 방법을 제안하고, 제안한 방법을 이용하여 수행한 신뢰도 보증시험에 대한 결과를 나타낸다. 로봇 시스템은 위험한 작업환경에서 작업자의 안전을 위하여 개발되었으며 전체 시스템의 신뢰도는 각 구성품의 신뢰도로부터 계산될 수 있다. 따라서 세 가지 주요 구성품 각각에 대한 전용 시험 장비를 제작하여 가속수명시험에 사용하였다. 가속수명시험 결과를 이용하여 신뢰수준에 따른 보증할 수 있는 평균수명을 추정하고, 적은 시료 수를 사용하는 시스템 신뢰도 보증 시험법을 제안하였다.

가상시험기법을 이용한 승용차 전륜 알루미늄 서브프레임 내구설계 (Durability Design of a Passenger Car Front Aluminum Sub-frame using Virtual Testing Method)

  • Durability performance evaluation of automotive components is very important and time consuming task. In this paper, to reduce vehicle component development time and cost virtual testing simulation technology is used to evaluate durability performance of a passenger car front aluminum sub-frame. Multibody dynamics based vehicle model and virtual test simulation model of a half car road simulator are validated by comparisons between rig test results and simulation results. Durability life prediction of the sub-frame is carried out using the model with road load data of proving ground which can evaluate accelerated durability life. We found that the durability performance of the sub-frame is sufficient and it can be predicted within short time compared to rig test time.

가속 열 노화시험에 의한 탄성받침용 합성고무의 수명 예측에 관한 연구 (Accelerated Heat Aging Test for Predicting Useful Lifetime of Elastomeric Rearing)

  • We performed the heat aging test to predict the useful lifetime of Elastomeric Bearing Chloroprene Rubber (CR) used for supporting bridge. During the test, we measured elongation that are influenced by temperature and aging time. The failure of a test piece is defined as the point at which the elongation reaches to 75% of the initial value. This failure criterion is based on KS F 4420: 1998 (Elastomeric Bearing for bridge). Through the accelerated heat aging test, we found that the Arrhenius relationship and the Weibull lifetime distribution are appropriate as the life-temperature relationship and lifetime distribution of the CR, respectively. Using the Arrhenius -Weibull model, the parameters of the model are estimated and the lifetime of the CR at use condition is predicted.

유압 피스톤 펌프의 수명 예측 연구 (A Study on Life Prediction of Hydraulic Piston Pump)

  • Hydraulic systems are widely used in the field of defense, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, and general industries, due to various advantages such as quick response speed and precision control. The defense equipments such as light rescue vehicle is operated in very harsh environments, so hydraulic components used in defense equipment are required to have very high reliability. In particular, hydraulic piston pump is very important component in a hydraulic systems, so life prediction of pump is essential. Therefore, in this study, we analyze the potential failure and the main failure mode of the hydraulic piston pump for the light rescue vehicle through the FMEA analysis, and predict the life of the pump by the accelerated life test considering the usage conditions.

  • This paper presents a derating design approach for reliability improvement of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor. The capacitor, usually mounted in a printed circuit board, is used to stabilize the circuit. The main failure mechanism of interest is dry-up of the electrolyte that is mainly caused by two stresses-temperature and voltage. The lifetime under these stresses is modeled as a function of these stresses and time using accelerated life testing. Quantitative variation in the lifetime, according to variations in these stresses, is investigated to perform the derating design of the capacitor so that the stress levels are selected to achieve required reliability measures for reliability improvement. Moreover, sensitivity analysis shows which stress would be a more important factor determining the lifetime.

Compound Linear Test Plan for 3-level Constant Stress Tests

  • Several accelerated life test plans use tests at only two levels of stress and thus, have practical limitations. They highly depend upon the assumption of a linear relationship between stress and time-to-failure and use only two extreme stresses that can cause irrelevant failure modes. Thus 3-level stress plans are preferable. When the lifetime distribution of test unit is exponential with mean lifetime $\theta_i$ at stress $x_i$, i=0, 1, 2, 3, we derive the optimum quadratic plan under the assumption that a quadratic relationship exists between stress and log(mean lifetime), and propose the compound linear plans, as an alternative to the optimum quadratic plan. The proposed compound linear plan is better than two other compromise plans for constant stress testing and nearly as good as the optimum quadratic plan, and has the advantage of simplicity.

가속수명시험을 위한 경제적 일정스트레스 계획의 개발 (Economic Constant Stress Plans for Accelerated Life Testing)

  • This paper deals with two economic optimal designs of constant-stress accelerated life test(ALT) where failure distribution follows one of location-scale family, i. e., exponential, Weibull, and lognormal distributions which have been ones of the popular choices of failure distributions. Two optimization criteria to develop ALT plans are the statistical efficiency per unit expected cost which consists of the fixed test cost, cost being proportional to the number of test units, and variable test cost depending on test period and stress level, and the expected loss which combines Taguchi's quadratic loss function and expected test cost. Optimum plan determines the low stress level, test units allocated to each stress, and censoring times at two stress levels under Type I censoring. The proposed ALT plans are illustrated with a numerical example and sensitivity analyses are conducted to study effects of pre-estimates of design parameters.

Shelf-life prediction of fresh ginseng packaged with plastic films based on a kinetic model and multivariate accelerated shelf-life testing

  • The purpose of this study was to monitor changes in the quality of ginseng and predict its shelf-life. As the storage period of ginseng increased, some quality indicators, such as water-soluble pectin (WSP), CDTA-soluble pectin (CSP), cellulose, weight loss, and microbial growth increased, while others (Na2CO3-soluble pectin/NSP, hemicellulose, starch, and firmness) decreased. Principal component analysis (PCA) was performed using the quality attribute data and the principal component 1 (PC1) scores extracted from the PCA results were applied to the multivariate analysis. The reaction rate at different temperatures and the temperature dependence of the reaction rate were determined using kinetic and Arrhenius models, respectively. Among the kinetic models, zeroth-order models with cellulose and a PC1 score provided an adequate fit for reaction rate estimation. Hence, the prediction model was constructed by applying the cellulose and PC1 scores to the zeroth-order kinetic and Arrhenius models. The prediction model with PC1 score showed higher R2 values (0.877-0.919) than those of cellulose (0.797-0.863), indicating that multivariate analysis using PC1 score is more accurate for the shelf-life prediction of ginseng. The predicted shelf-life using the multivariate accelerated shelf-life test at 5, 20, and 35℃ was 40, 16, and 7 days, respectively.

하이브리드 굴삭기용 선회감속기의 가속수명시험에 관한 연구 (Study on Accelerated Life Testing of Swing Reduction Gear Box for Hybrid Excavator)

  • 하이브리드 굴삭기는 기존 굴삭기와 달리 선회구동계에 유압모터를 대신하여 선회전동기를 사용하고 있다. 하이브리드 굴삭기의 신뢰성을 평가하고 보증하기 위해서는 기계와 전기적인 고장모드가 조합되어 고려되어야 한다. 특히, 하이브리드 굴삭기용 선회감속기는 가혹한 실외환경에서 운용되므로 시작품에 대한 현장작동조건을 고려한 가속수명시험이 수행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 선회구동계 중선회감속기에 대한 가속수명시험 기법의 개발을 위하여 FMMA, FMAECA, FTA 및 QFD와 같은 정성적 신뢰성기법을 활용하였고, 개발된 가속조건에 의한 수명시험결과를 유분석 기법 등을 활용 분석하여 평가대상 시료가 목표 신뢰도를 만족함을 확인하였다.

  • 무기체계를 개발할 때, 개발 목적에 맞는 장비의 기능과 성능을 구현하는 것도 중요하지만, 개발 후 장비가 얼마나 신뢰성을 가지고 공백이 없이 운용유지를 할 수 있는지 매우 중요하다. 그렇기 때문에 장비의 신뢰성을 높이기 위하여 다양한 활동을 수행한다. 개발 시 높은 스펙의 부품을 사용하고, 분석을 통하여 신뢰도를 검증하며, 개발 시제품을 이용하여 시험을 통해 장비의 부족한 부분은 보강하고 개선하여 신뢰성을 강화시키기 위한 활동을 한다. 그러나 최근에는 급변하는 외부 정세 및 기술 등에 의하여 개발 일정이 단축되고, 비용 등의 문제로 인하여 충분한 신뢰성 성장활동을 수행하지 못하는 경우가 발생하고 있다. 분석적인 방법(신뢰도 분석, FMECA 등)으로만 신뢰성 활동을 하는 사업들이 그 예이다. 본 논문에서는 FMECA와 초가속수명시험(HALT)을 통하여 분석과 시험이라는 방법을 같은 장비에 각각 수행했을 때, 도출된 신뢰성 성장 활동 내용과, 그로 인한 설계변경/검토 결과가 두 방법에서 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 비교/분석하고, 신뢰성 성장 활동을 강화하기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 개발 초기부터 분석을 통한 신뢰성 성장활동 및 초기 시제 제작 완료 시 시험을 통한 신뢰성 성장활동을 모두 수행해야 한다고 분석되었다.
