This paper presents the educational methodology shipboard training methods of Maritime Colleges in U.S.A. and the fields of engagement in business of the graduates from them. There are two Maritime Academies, i.e. U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) and U.S. Coast Guard Academy, which are supported by federal government and six Maritime Colleges operated by each State. Maritime Administration (MARAD) in the Department of Transportation (DOT) supports the training of merchant marine officers and crew members with a focus on safety in U.S. waterborne commerce. The shipboard training methods are not unique, but have various process. One is continuous sea term training onboard during sophomore (100 days) and junior year (200 days) in case of USMMA, the other is summer sea term training onboard every three months during freshman, sophomore and junior years in case of SUNY Maritime College. They offer also one month ship simulator training ashore. The employment status for the 1999 year graduates from USMMA shows 43 percent in the field of maritime afloat, 34 percent of maritime ashore, 22 percent of active duty military and 1 percent of others.

This paper explains space-technology startup-business support programs. MSIP (Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning) and KARI (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) began running startup-business support programs from 2013 according to a "space-technology industrialization plan." In addition, MSIP and KARI have been running startup academies and STAR-Exploration for future entrepreneurs and startup companies since 2015. From these programs, five startup companies were established and they are generating sales. This paper shows the results of the programs, and the program cases of the startup and venture companies are analyzed for both domestic and international audiences. The future direction of startup-business support programs that are based on space technology is also discussed.

As the side effects of information society, for example hacking, virus, etc., diffuse, the information security becomes one of the most important issues over the world. Information security manpower are critical factor to complete secure information society. In spite of many plans formulated and implemented by government and civil sector, there is no systematic analysis on the current status of information security educational institutions in Korea. This article aims to analyze the current status of information security educational institutions - colleges, universities, graduate schools and civil academies with Statistical Yearbook of Education and the research of KAIT[11].

CEN/TS 45545 is Europe consolidation standard for fire safety on railway behicles. This is based on the International Union of Railways(UIC) and different European countries. It is intended to protect passengers and staff in railway in the event of a fire on board. It will be prepared in 2012. Based on this consolidate standard, they are going to make single market, for raising technical competitiveness, technical innovation and globalization of that standard. For this reason, European academies, manufacturers, and sub-manufacturers confer and stady animated about CEN/TS 45545. In Korea, get out the safety assessment for ues incombustible interior material, the needs of quantitative analysis on fire protection, demand on recognition of fire protection scenario, and define about fire load analysis are becomin more and more important. Therefore, this paper will estimate and compare Flammability, Smoke Density, Toxicity Index( this is the key point for appraised fire safety performance of material) between CEN/TS45545 and fire standards on railway vehicle. Then suggest criteria for fire safety on railway vehicles.

The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies of Science in the United States concluded in its 2004 report that excessive indoor dampness is a public health hazard and that its prevention should be a public health goal. Water damage in buildings, such as leaks from roofs, walls, or windows, may increase indoor moisture levels. Excessive dampness may promote microbial proliferation in indoor environments, increase occupants' exposure to microbial agents, and eventually produce adverse health effects in building occupants. Epidemiological studies to demonstrate the causal association between exposure to indoor microbial agents and health effects require reliable exposure assessment tools. In this review, I discuss various sampling and analytical methods to assess human exposure to biological agents in indoor environments, their strengths and weaknesses, and recent trends in research and practice in the USA.

In this study, methodologies for the establishment of electrical works technology roadmap and its categorization are proposed analyzing different technologies and organizations roadmaps, existing electrical works technology roadmaps, new technology roadmaps, and so on. These methodologies could contribute on the direction for R&D policies of the government and companies, the cooperation studies between academies, institutes, and enterprises, and new market formation.

The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies Food and Nutrition Board in conjunction with Health Canada recently released the sixth in a series of reports on dietary reference values for the intake of energy and macronutrients. This paper discusses the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs) for energy and physical activity. Several new approaches were used with the DRIs for the macronutrients. Those discussed in this paper include: $.$Estimated Energy Requirements (EER) at four levels of energy expenditure based on doubly labeled water measurements of total energy expenditure (TEE). $.$Recommendations for levels of physical activity to decrease the risk of chronic disease.

After the WHO Growth Standards (WHOGS) was published in 2006, many countries in the world endorsed and adopted the new growth references as a standard measure for the growth of infants and young children. Certainly, the WHOGS has an impact on the global policy about obesity and underweight in children. Such WHOGS innovation has influenced many regional health authorities and academies, which have managed their own growth charts for a long time, in changing their strategies to develop and use regional growth charts. In Korea, along with the tradition to create a national growth chart every decade, we now face a new era of advancing with the WHOGS.

육군 3사관학교는 국가가 인가한 편입학 사관학교이다. 장교양성교육기관으로 2년간의 교육을 마치면 대학졸업과 동시 육군소위로 임관하게 된다. 대한민국 장교가 되기 위해서는 다양한 교육기관을 통하여 양성되고 있는데 미래 육군의 중추가 될 육군 3사관학교 사관생도 모집에 관하여 고찰해보고자 한다.

The Qiantang Medical School(錢塘醫派) formed on the basis of the education provided by L$\ddot{u}$shantang(侶山堂) in the specific area of Hangzhou(杭州) displays clear differences from other medical schools in that it combined medicine with educational and research activities. The Qiantang Medical School(錢塘醫派) played an important part in the history of the traditional Chinese medicine via providing the education through Confucian academies and the researches conducted to find appropriate treatment methods based on the climate and natural environment of the southern part of China. The tradition of joint researches on the classical works of Chinese medicine is equally important in terms of the traditional Chinese medicine.
