The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference and inter-connectivity between the definition of continuity in school mathematics and the definition of academic mathematics in four perspectives. These difference and inter-connectivity have not analyzed in previous papers. According to this study, the definition of 'continuity and discontinuity at one point' in school mathematics depends on the limit processing but in academic mathematics it depends on the topology of the domain. The target function of the continuous function in school mathematics is a function whose domain is limited to an interval or a union of intervals, but the target function of the continuous function in academic mathematics is all functions. Based on these results, the following two opinions are given in relation to the concept of continuity in school mathematics. First, since the notion of local continuity in school mathematics is based on limit processing, the contents of 2009-revised textbooks that deal with discontinuity at special point not belonging to the domain is appropriate. Here the discontinuity appears as types of infinite discontinuity, removable discontinuity, and step discontinuity. Second, the definition of a general continuous function is proposed to "if there is no discontinuity point in the domain of a function y = f(x), we call the function f a continuous function." This definition allows the discontinuity at special point in non-domain, but is consistent with the definition in academic mathematics.
Purpose: This study aimed to utilize concept analysis to obtain a better understanding of the concept of "continuity of care" in chronic diseases. Methods: The concept of continuity of care was analyzed using the Walker and Avant method. Covering literature in English from 1930 to 2018, the data sources included CINAHL Complete, Academic Search Complete, MEDLINE, PsyARTICLES, Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and the Cochrane Library. Results: A comprehensive definition of concept of continuity of care was developed based on a systematic search and synthesis. The key defining attributes were identified as (a) care over time, (b) the relationship between an individual patient and a care team, (c) information transfer, (d) coordination, and (e) meeting changing needs. The antecedents of continuity of care were having a chronic disease, inexperienced with disease management, a poorly coordinated healthcare system, and medical care limitations. The consequences of continuity of care were decreasing hospital admissions, reducing costs, reducing emergency room visits, improving the quality of life, improving patient satisfaction, and delivering good healthcare. Conclusion: The thorough concept analysis provides insight into the nature of "continuity of care" in chronic diseases and also helps ground the concept in healthcare.
In this paper we study in-service teachers' and pre-service teachers' recognition the domain in the problem concerning the continuity of a function. By a questionnaire survey we find out that most of in-service teachers and pre-service teachers are understanding the continuity of a function as explained in high school mathematics textbook, in which the continuity was defined by and focused on comparing the limit with the value of the function. We also notice that this kind of definition for the continuity of a function makes them trouble to figure out whether a function is continuous at an isolated point, and to determine that a given function is continuous on a region by not considering its domain explicitly. Based on these results we made several suggestions to improve for in-service teachers and pre-service teachers to understand the continuity of a function more exactly, including an introduction of a more formal words usage such as 'continuous on a region' in high school classroom.

In this study, the effects of self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and depression on college students' academic persistence in the COVID-19 epidemic and the resulting non-face-to-face education situation were identified as mediating effects on learning satisfaction. In the second semester of 2020, a survey was conducted on students enrolled in a four-year university in Daegu and the data were statistically analyzed. The path coefficient was estimated by the Smart PLS bootstrap method and the significance of the path coefficient was verified. The Sobel Test was conducted to verify the mediating effect of academic continuity intention as a parameter. The research results can be summarized as follows. First, it was found that self-efficacy and perceived usefulness had a significant influence in the relationship with learning satisfaction. Second, the relationship between learning satisfaction and academic continuity intention was found to have a significant influence. Third, depression and ease of use did not show any significant influence in the relationship between learning satisfaction. Finally, a Sobel Test was conducted to verify the mediating effect of academic continuity intention with self-efficacy, usefulness, ease of use, and depression as independent variables and learning satisfaction as parameters. As a result of both regression analyses, it was found that β values decreased, and learning satisfaction had a mediating effect. As a result of this study, it is suggested that research to increase learner satisfaction and develop various contents to increase the effectiveness of education that can increase self-efficacy and perceived usefulness should be conducted in parallel. I think this study can be used as basic data in establishing measures to continue studying for college students in natural disaster situations or psychological crisis situations called COVID-19.

Purpose: This study examined the correlation between satisfaction with major, academic self-efficacy, and academic persistence with the general characteristics of students in a health-related field, to determine factors that affect academic persistence. Methods: The study was conducted on third- and fourth-grade health-field students at Daejion. The questionnaire consisted of a self-report, and a URL was sent by text message to students who agreed to participate after reading the purpose and necessity of the study. Results: Major satisfaction was 4.23 on average, academic self-efficacy was 4.15, and academic continuity was 4.25. Grade and school life satisfaction were the factors correlated with a significant difference in academic persistence. Significant positive correlations were seen between satisfaction with major (r=.637, p<.001) and academic self-efficacy (r=.563, p<.001); higher major satisfaction and academic self-efficacy led to higher academic persistence. Conclusion: A more systematic management approach needs to be conducted by developing active learning participation and applying customized counseling management and support programs by grade to improve the academic self-efficacy and academic persistence of students in health-related fields.

This study is a descriptive correlation study to investigate the mediating effect of familiarity and social support in the relationship between grit and academic continuity for Mongolian students. A survey was conducted from May 1 to June 30, 2021 on 124 Mongolian students from universities across the country using Google questionnaires. As a result of the study, grit had a significant effect on the familiarity and social support of Korean culture. The intention to continue school was significantly influenced by grit, familiarity with Korean culture, and social support. Grit directly had a significant effect on academic continuity, and familiarity with Korean culture and social support had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between grit and academic continuity. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to increase grit and seek counseling and education programs to help using Korean cultural familiarity and social support systems.

Adult-learners of online education have been distant from studying for a long time and are rather familiar with the old massive education. As a result, despite the excellent ability in self-control learning that results in great academic performances and academic continuity, the learners give up on learning, feeling depressed for not being able to perform their advantage, the self-control learning ability. The study developed a self-control learning model and UDL design learning model in order to establish e-mentoring system. For the analysis on results of the experiment, the researcher extracted academic grade, the rate of re-register, and the amount of total studying time after dividing new students and transfer students of H cyber university into the control group and the experimental group. In conclusion, the results showed that more satisfied the control group is, the higher academic achievements and the higher academic continuity are accomplished.
