  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a program outcomes assessment system based on Course Embedded Assessment for nursing education. Methods: This study was conducted in accordance with the procedures of the developmental research method. Results: The major results are as follows. 1) The program outcomes were measured according to the Analytic Hierarchy Process. 2) The Course Embedded Assessment matrix was made according to program outcomes' weight, the curriculum-organizing principle, and achievement levels. 3) The Course Embedded Assessment rubric was developed in logical process, and consisted of a performance criterion, and rating scale. The content validity index of the Course Embedded Assessment rubric was 0.85. 4) An evaluation guideline and 12 documents were developed to facilitate the performance of the assessment system. 5) The average content validity index of the Course Embedded Assessment-based program outcomes assessment system was as high as 0.89. Conclusion: A Course Embedded Assessment-based program outcomes assessment system is more suitable for accreditation of nursing education than previous studies. Because this system evaluates the process of achievement as well as program outcomes, the results can also serve as immediate feedback to improve the educational process. Above all, this system facilitates that students check their achievements and strive to acquire core competencies in nursing.

The first data were collected through documentary survey and homepage survey, and case study of domestic and overseas college libraries was performed and 3 systems among academic library systems were selected to conduct a survey with their librarians and users of the academic libraries. It was found that librarians in charge of each function of services didn't much utilize information data of users created in the MyLibrary functions. As for an improvement method, it was suggested that systematic management to raise recognition on CRM and utilize it as feedback data is required in order to provide high quality services as well as customized information services to users based on data created in MyLibrary.

  • Universities have been investing in their information systems to keep their management functions working efficiently and effectively. Thanks to these efforts, faculty members and other university employees can perform their tasks efficiently almost anywhere and anytime. Several universities embarked upon information systems projects to take advantage of emerging information technologies in their administration and management. Only a limited number of universities have achieved their objectives; some others have been even tinkering with the idea of abandoning their newly developed academic information systems. The development of academic information systems often start with a relatively high risk of system failure. Sometimes, these systems encounter unforeseen obstacles or fail in systems development. These universities with problems also can overcome these issues by collecting their wisdom. The mindfulness theory is suitable for dealing with implementing academic information systems. This research analyzes an academic information systems development case from a mindfulness perspective, and also addresses its research implications and theoretical contributions.

  • The National Science and Technology Information Center (NDSL) database, which provides academic papers at home and abroad, collects, builds, and manages data collected from various sources. In this study, we analyzed the DB paper schema and DB metadata that are currently constructed and managed to derive an integrated DB schema that can manage the high-value-added papers and manage them efficiently by analyzing distributed DB papers. Also, the final academic information data items were determined through comparison and analysis using the Web of Science and SCOPUS schemas that are currently purchased and possessed. The academic information data items constructed and serviced through this study were summarized into seven papers, authors, abstracts, institutions, themes, journals, and references, and defined as core contents under construction. The integrated DB schema was created through this study, and the results of this study will be used as a basis for constructing the integrated DB collection of high quality academic papers and designing the integrated system.

  • In 2020, due to COVID-19, all universities in Korea were conducting non-face-to-face classes. The purpose of this study is to study what factors affect academic achievement under such non-face-to-face instruction, especially for engineering students where practical training is important. Validity of the statistical hypothesis defined in this study by applying a structural equation model using questionnaires about academic achievement for engineering students at University D for this study. In addition, I would like to suggest what factors should be considered in non-face-to-face classes, especially in engineering colleges. As a result of the study, it was found that students' Q&A, feedback and e-learning system had a direct influence on academic achievement. In addition, it was confirmed that they had an indirect influence on academic achievement through the parameters of theory class and practical class.

For this purpose, this study examined the operation condition of academic libraries' services during the COVID-19, analyzing the untact and online services of 63 libraries of universities which have more than 10,000 students. And this research classified the online services into three types, which are 'collection', 'facilities', 'programs' and examined the library homepage and development plans of academic libraries. This study also looked into the services of Korean public libraries and foreign libraries to suggest the sustainable services for academic library. As a result, this study suggests 'providing online materials for course reserves', 'expansion of research and study curation services to invigorate the use of library materials', 'introducing the smart library system and renovation of library facility and space services', 'planning of online programs through expansion of interaction with users'.
