Objective: Service industry has become the most important industry among various economic activities, as the percentage of service related industry in advanced nations is over 60% of their GDP and the percentage of service industry in South Korea, a traditional manufacturing nation, now takes up over 60% of the entire economy. Background: Such industry paradigm shift has changed consumers from those that simply purchased products into groups of people that evaluate the companies that manufacture products, thereby further intensifying competition among companies and increasing the importance of integrated communication between companies and consumers. However, the excessive existence of sub-identities that have been developed for integrated management of the existing corporate identities, as well as the undifferentiated general management strategies by companies are creating confusion not only for consumers but also for various corporate interest parties. In addition, service identity strategy has become the most important strategy than any other sub-identity strategies in forming corporate identity at the increased importance of corporate service in the era of service industry. However, the current domestic circumstance is that the concept of service identity has not been well established through specific related studies. Method: Accordingly, the existing academic and field studies on the corporate identity(CI), brand identity(BI) and product identity(PI) used for the communication with consumers were reviewed in this study to establish and summarize the concept of service identity(SI) that appeared at the service economization. Results: The purpose is to examine the kind of change that could be brought about by SI for the corporate integrated identity strategy developed through the existing corporate, brand & product image in order to present a new direct in corporate identity strategy according to the industry paradigm shift through a SI centered new corporate identity framework. Conclusion: For preparing the new era of service industry, the corporate integrated identity strategy must be integrate with concept of service identity and which is essential to differential from other companies. Application: The proposed concept and framework of service identity on this paper will help to understand and clearly define why service identity is important factor of the new idea of corporate identities.
This study presents a discussion on the biomedical laboratory science (formally clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory science) with the identity of biomedical laboratory science, as well as the academic classification system for systematic approach. The field of biomedical laboratory science is not registered in the academic research area classification system of the National Research Foundation of Korea. Since the inception of the first department of biomedical laboratory science in 1963, about 52 departments were since established. Despite the scientific identity, biomedical laboratory science have not been acknowledged professionally in most institutions. Observing the academic research area classification, the physical therapy, occupational therapy, and dental hygiene science are systematically classified and approved the identities by the authorities. This study is freshly academic area classification system of the biomedical laboratory science. The contents of this study are summarized as follows. The medical laboratory technologist's discipline is considered within the medical and science category, clinical pathology in class, and biomedical laboratory science in division. Sections of biomedical laboratory science include hematology, transfusionology, immunology, biochemistry, microbiology, parasitology, science, molecular biology, histology, cytology, cardiopulmonary physiology, and neurophysiology.
Purpose: This study was designed to explore the effects of core competencies on adaptation of the major, career identity and career search ability in nursing students. Methods: A correlational research design was used with the convenient sample of 360 nursing students. After explaining the purpose of this study to the participants, those who signed the consent form were provided with a self-descriptive questionnaire. Results: The highest average score of leadership of core competencies was 5.5 on 7 point-scale. The lowest average score of problem-solving ability was 4.4. There were significant correlations between adaptation of the major, career identity, and career search ability and core competencies, with the exceptions of nursing students. Adaptation of the major could be explained 25% by the instrument application ability, leadership, organizational structure, teamwork and career development. Career identity could be explained 13% by leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and career development. Career search ability could be explained 12% by responsibility, conflict management, teamwork, communication ability and career development. Conclusion: Based on the results, core competencies showed statistically significant effects on adaptation of the major, career identity and career search ability in nursing students. Thus, it is necessary to develop an educational curriculum to improve core competencies, career identify and career search ability.
Purpose: This study was done to develop and test a maternal role strengthening program based on home care nursing. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was employed. Changes in the variables(maternal identity and confidence of maternal role) were evaluated to test the effects of the developed program. Participants were first-time mothers receiving home care nursing from S Medical Center following normal spontaneous vaginal delivery(experimental group 29; control group 29). Data collection was conducted from December 2008 to February 2009. $X^2$-test, Fisher's exact test and t-test were used to analyse the data. Results: Hypothesis 1, that the experimental group receiving this program would experience a stronger maternal identity than the control group, was supported(t=-7.990, p=<.001). Hypothesis 2, that the experimental group would have higher confidence in their maternal role than the control group, was also supported(t=-10.109, p=<.001). Conclusion: The maternal role strengthening program based on home care nursing developed in this study was found to be an effective means of improving maternal identity and confidence of maternal role. As these traits are developed once the baby is born, active nursing programs which provide continuous training and demonstrations to mothers are needed prior to hospitalization and following hospital discharge.
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between parental support and senior high school students' career development. For this study, the data was gathered from 1,468 students in 15 classes(different divisions) at 9 high schools (3 Academic high schools, 3 Industrial technology schools, 3 Vocational high schools) in Seoul. The results of the study were as follows: 1. There is significant difference, statistically, in the relation between parental support and career development by gender. 2. As for the division factor, the recognition level of parental supports was higher in girls than in boys and the average of their career development level was also higher. 3. As for the division factor, the recognition level of parental supports was most highest in academic high school students than in other groups and the average of their career development level was also the highest. 4. There were significant correlations between the parental supports and career decision-making self-efficacy, vacational identity, career decision. 5 As for the effects of parental support on the student's career development, career decision-making self-efficacy was higher than other vacational identity, career decision.. The $R^2$ value was weak but still statistically significant.

The purpose of this study was to examine influential factors for the transition to college life and career identity of nursing students and what changes social support from parents brought about to them by academic year. The subjects in this study were 542 selected students who majored in nursing in four-year universities located in Seoul and the provinces. A self-administered survey was conducted to find out their general characteristics, social support from fathers and mothers, college adjustment and career identity. A hierarchical regression analysis was made to determine how social support from parents affected the college adjustment and career identity of the nursing students. Social support from parents had an impact on their college adjustment and career identity. The factors that affected college adjustment were academic year, satisfaction level with major and emotional support from mothers, and the factors that impacted on career identity were academic year, satisfaction level with major and informative support from fathers. In order to facilitate the college adjustment of nursing students, professors should try to develop efficient learning methods, meet with parents to inform them of the necessity of social support, share information on the major field of study and learning methods, and provide an opportunity for students to communicate with graduates or students who are years ahead of them in college so that they could have a better understanding of majoring in nursing.

In the rapidly changing field of Management Information Systems, the definition and educational programs must be continually reevaluated and revised. A study was conducted to find a way to which the modeling principle is applied for redefining the identity of Management Information Systems as an independent academic field and to develop a plausible MIS curriculum based on the modeling principle. Previous researches on the MIS frameworks, knowledge and technology requirements for IS professionals, and standard MIS curriculums were reviewed thoroughly. For this study, the Kantian cognitive model was adopted as a basis of modeling principle. The result shows that modeling ability has been the core competence of IS people in the field of MIS. The applicability of a modeling principle is also verified in establishing the identity of MIS and developing a normative MIS curriculum. For the MIS field to thrive as an independent academic field and research discipline, it is believed to be imperative for the discipline to have a unique educational goals distinguished from both other management areas, and sub-fields of computer science.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing intentions regarding blood donation among nursing university students. Methods: We collected data from 165 nursing students at a university in D city via a self-administered questionnaire from May 28 to May 30, 2018. Results: Intentions of blood donation had significant positive correlations with blood donation motivation (r=.52, p<.001). Also, blood donation motivation had significant positive correlations with self-identity (r=.27, p=.013). A regression analysis showed that factors affecting intention of blood donation were intrinsic motivation for blood donation (${\beta}=.30$, p=.028), and extrinsic motivation for blood donation (${\beta}=.32$, p=.013). These factors explained 25% of intentions of blood donation (F=8.06, p<.001). Conclusion: Therefore, motivation and self-identity should be considered when developing blood donation programs for nursing college students.
