  • In this paper, concepts of quasi-normal and dually quasi-normal relations are introduced. Characterizations of these relations are obtained. In addition, particulary we show that the anti-order relation ${\nleqslant}$ ($={\leqslant}^C$) is a (dually) quasi-normal relation if and only if the partially ordered set (X, ${\leqslant}$) is an anti-chain.

  • The evaluation of the Fuzzy Expected Value (FEV) as a typical value requires complete knowledge about the domain of the evaluation, and the distribution of the population in that domain [1]. Since in many situations it is not possible to gather complete knowledge regarding the domain, it is necessary to relax some of the restrictions involving the evaluation of FEV. In this paper we discuss solutions to this problem by using the concept of the Fuzzy Expected Interval (FEI).

  • Park, Ryu, and Lee recently defined a Henstock-type integral, which lies entirely between the McShane and the Henstock integrals. This paper presents two characterizing convergence conditions for this integral, and derives other known convergence theorems as corollaries.

  • This paper presents a fundamental theorem of calculus, an integration by parts formula and a version of equiintegrability convergence theorem for the Mα-integral using the Mα-strong Lusin condition. In the convergence theorem, to be able to relax the condition of being point-wise convergent everywhere to point-wise convergent almost everywhere, the uniform Mα-strong Lusin condition was imposed.

  • There are lots of disabled mathematicians who overcame their disabilities and made great achievement to the world of mathematics. In this article, we introduce disabled mathematicians who overcome their disabilities and contributes to the development of mathematics: Nicholas Saunderson, Leonhard Euler, Lewis Carroll, Solomon Lefschetz, Louis Antoine, Gaston Maurice Julia, Lev Semenovich Pontryagin, Abraham Nemeth, John Nash, Bernard Morin, Anatoli G. Vitushkin, Lawrence W. Baggett, Norberto Salinas, Theodore John Kaczynski, Richard E. Borcherds, Dimitri Kanevsky, Hwang Yun-seong, Emmanuel Giroux, Kim In-kang, Zachary J. Battles, and Pratish Datta. As well, we classify mathematics education environments and the role education played in helping these mathematicians overcome their disabilities and other obstacles. Then, we discuss educational environmental changes in the 21st century for special mathematics education.

  • By means of constant- pressure molecular dynamics simulations, we studied the liquid- glass- crystalline transition of a system composed of Lennard- Jones particles with periodic boundary conditions. Atomic volume and enthalpy were calculated as functions of temperature during heating and cooling processes. The Wendt- Abraham ratio derived from radial distribution function and the angular distribution function characterizing short range order were analyzed to distinguish between liquid, glass and crystalline states. A liquid phase resulting from a slow heating of an initial fee crystal amorphized on fast quench, but it crystallized on slow quench. When slowly heated, the amorphous phase from fast quench crystallized into an fee structure. A system with free surface was shown to melt from the surface inward at a lower temperature than bulk system and to have a strong tendency for crystallization even during a fast quench from a liquid state.

  • Chondrosarcoma of the chest wall is a rare primary neoplasm found to occur in elderly men. Patients present with an enlarging, painful, anterior chest wall mass arising from either the vicinity of the costochondral junction or the sternum. Treatment includes wide resection with appropriate chest wall reconstruction. We report an unusual presentation of this uncommon tumor occurring as a huge chest wall mass in a young teenage girl.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the delayed muscle soreness after exercise and the indicators of muscle damage. Subjects of this study were 9 male students. Some muscle enzymes and others(GOT, LDH, ALD, CPK in serum, WBC, ESR) that known as the indicators of muscle damage were measured before exercise. After measurements they run on a treadmill ($incline:25\%$, speed;3.5miles/h) for 7 min. on an average. The intensity of this kind of exercise was $90.5\%$ of maximal exercise intensity. After exercise, same indicators were measured at the just after exercise, 24hr after, 48hr after, 72hr after. Also muscle soreness level was evaluated at same intervals by make use of Modified Abraham's scale. The result was as follow: There was no relationships between muscle soreness and the indicators of muscle damage but ALD was the most important indicator that can be explains the muscle soreness very well.

  • The successful application of fuzzy reasoning models to fuzzy control systems depends on a number of parameters, such as fuzzy membership functions, that are usually decided upon subjectively. It is shown ill this paper that the performance of fuzzy control systems call be improved if the fuzzy reasoning model is supplemented by a genetic-based learning mechanism. The genetic algorithm enables us to generate all optimal set of parameters for the fuzzy reasoning model based either on their initial subjective selection or on a random selection. It is shown that if knowledge of the domain is available, it is exploited by the genetic algorithm leading to an even better performance of the fuzzy controller.
