The purpose of this study is to analyze the planning characteristics of passive house by the building structural types in foreign cases. The interests and demands about passive house have been increased, and various building structural types and design methods have been attempted for passive house in Korea. But domestic research results and development experiences about passive house were lack. The results of this study are as follows; First, in terms of energy performance, insulation performance, airtightness, there are not significant differences at the 95% confidence level by the structural types of passive house. Second, in terms of the types of insulation materials, there are significant differences at the 95% confidence level by the structural types of passive house. Third, in principle there is no need of traditional heating facility in passive houses, but in practice traditional heating facilities are used additionally in about half of survey cases for the comfort of occupants.
This study examined the recognition and purchasing behavior about environment-friendly agricultural produce (EFAP) of housewives in Yeungnam area. The data were collected from 401 housewives by a self-administered questionnaire on April, 2010. Frequencies, t test, chi-square test, and logistic regression analysis were conducted by SPSS Windows V.17.0. The results of the survey were as follows: (1) the purchase group of EFAP showed higher degree of concern about health and recognition about EFAP than the non-purchase group, (2) knowledge scores about EFAP were very low for both the purchase and non-purchase groups, (3) levels of confidence in EFAP in the purchase group were higher than those in the non-purchase group, (4) the purchase group considered high price as the main distribution problem about EFAP, whereas the non-purchase group regarded low trust toward producers, and (5) monthly household income (below 2,000,000 won) and confidence in EFAP were the significant factors affecting EFAP.

Purpose: This study was conducted to assess the factors that affect the confidence of nurses at small and medium-sized hospitals in the control of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms and to establish basic data for the interventional strategy to improve the nurses' execution of the control of infection caused by multidrug-resistant organisms. Methods: A total of 154 nurses working at four small and medium-sized hospitals situated in City C were selected as participants of this study. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 software. Results: Confidence in controlling infections caused by multdrug-resistant organisms had a positive correlation with the level of knowledge of this control and the health beliefs of the nurses. Factors that affect nurses' confidence in controlling infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms included perceived benefits (β=.431, p<.001) and knowledge (β=.354, p<.001) with an explanatory power of 36.4%. Conclusion: It was found that the nurses have higher confidence in executing their duties with higher perceived benefits of and knowledge about the control of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms. As such, it is deemed necessary to establish strategies to elevate the advantages of and knowledge about infection prevention activities at the time of training/education on controlling infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.

Objectives: This study aimed to identify the prevalence of falls in community-dwelling older adults and to identify associated factors using the 2019 Community Health Survey. Methods: The original data was from the 2019 Community Health Survey, and the study sample comprised 1,642 older adults aged 65 years and older in Jeju province. Data collection was conducted from August 16 to November 20, 2019, through an interview done by a trained investigator. Respondents were queried about demographic characteristics, riding bicycles, hospital treatment due to an accident or poisoning in the previous year, fall experiences in the past year, fear of falling, self-management status, and pain and discomfort. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate for associations between potential risk factors and falls. Results: The prevalence of falls in this community-dwelling older adults was 13.1%. Falls were associated with riding bicycles (odds ratio = 4.7; 95% confidence interval: 2.26-9.81), fear of falling (odds ratio = 0.3; 95% confidence interval: 0.24-0.49), hospital treatment due to an accident or poisoning in the previous year (odds ratio = 7.8; 95% confidence interval: 5.02-12.19), self-management status (odds ratio = 0.6; 95% confidence interval: 0.34-0.89), and pain and discomfort (odds ratio = 0.6; 95% confidence interval: 0.40-0.87). Conclusions: We found that the prevalence of approximately about 13% of older adults living in a community has experienced falls. Based on the results of the study, we provided primary data to develop the care management intervention program to prevent falls and avoid risk factors that cause falls in community-dwelling older adults.
Since the global financial crisis in 2008, the world economy has been suffering from the Great Recession characterized by high and persistent unemployment as well as drastic fall in asset prices. Real business cycle theory or new-Keynesian economics which has been the dominant paradigm in macroeconomics for the last four decades is unable to explain the high and persistent unemployment during the Great Recession. This implies that the economics of Keynes should be taken seriously again as a tool to explain the Great Recession. Farmer (2012) proposes a new way of interpreting the economics of Keynes by providing it with a solid micro-foundation based on labor markets with search. According to Farmer (2012), aggregate economic activity independently depends on the long-term self-fulfilling expectations about the stock prices. As a consequence, the government or the central bank should implement a policy that influences the public's confidence about the stock market. For an open economy like the Korean economy, it is not only stock price but also the price of asset such as house that matters more for the aggregate economic activity. Households in the Korean economy hold more than 70 percent of their wealth in the form of real estate asset, especially housing asset. This makes the public's confidence about the future prices of houses even more important in explaining the business cycles of the Korean economy. Policymakers should implement policies to improve the confidence of households about the housing market to recover from the recession caused by a fall in house prices. Little theoretical work has been done in explaining fluctuations in the aggregate economic activity from the point of house prices. This paper develops a small open economy model with traded and non-traded capital based on Farmer (2012) and shows that the aggregate economic activity also independently depends on the households' self-fulfilling expectations about the future prices of non-traded asset such as houses.

This research paper looks into the interrelationships between physical self-perception, performance confidence, physical self-efficacy, dance flow and dance performance satisfaction with dance major students as the central figure. It also looks into the needs of dance majors, and in order to understand the accomplishment in dance and performance satisfaction, studies were carried out on 313 dance major students. According to this research, firstly, in the difference from physical self-perception according to general characteristics, specialists that major in dance have perception about one's body when specialists have a longer dancing time and experience. In the relationship between dancing experience and self-efficacy it could be seen that self-efficacy is postirely comelated with dancing experience. Also, in dance performance satisfaction, the more experience or time one encounters dance the higher the satisfaction. Secondly, when looking at the effect physical self-perception has on performance, confidence and self-efficacy, among the lower factors of physical self-perception, sports competence, condition and fitness have notable amount of effect on performance confidence. Thirdly, when looking at the effect on physical self-perception and self-efficacy, sports competence and condition have a certain amount of influence on body competence. Also sports competence, condition and fitness have some influence on physical confidence. Fourth, when looking at the influence of performance confidence and self-efficacy on dance flow, performance confidence, body competence and physical attraction have some effect on behavioral devotion. Lastry looking at the influence dance flow has on dance performance satisfaction, only behavioral devotion has much influence on dance performance satisfaction.

The purpose of this study is to find out how the Father Class, which is being practiced at a hospital located in Seoul, influences on fathers' level of knowledge and confidence of postpartal mother and newborn care. Research design was quasi-experimental study using non equivalent experiment and control group. The data, questionaires, were collected from Sep. 13, 2001 to Oct. 31, 2001 through e-mail, telephone and mail, after discharge from S hospital located in Seoul, where the experimental group was educated at the Father Class and control group didn't take part in the class. The objects were the fathers who have the first baby through normal delivery or C-sec delivery including experimental group 48 persons and control group 52 persons. Four instruments were the revised ones of Lee Mi Kyoung's(1990) and Kwak Yon Hee's tool based on the resources of direct interviews of fathers and one expert, professor. The reliability of four instruments were Cronbach's $\alpha$ scores .85 -93. Data were analyzed by SPSS 10.0 program using $x^2$-test, and t-test and, One- way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation, etc. The results of this study are as follows; 1.The two groups were confirmed as a homogeneous group by showing no significant difference statistically at the level of 5%. 2.The results of proving the hypothesis are followings: 1)The first hypothesis, "the fathers who participated in the Father Class will have the higher level of knowledge about postpartal mother care than the fathers who didn't" was accepted by significant difference statistically (p=0.000). 2)The second hypothesis, "the fathers who took part in the class will have the higher confidence in postpartal mother care than the fathers who didn't", was supported by significant difference statistically (p=0.000). 3) The third hypothesis, "the fathers who attended the class will have the better knowledge about taking care of newborn than the others", was accepted by significant difference statistically (p=0.000). 4)The fourth hypothesis, "the fathers who participated in the class will have the higher confidence in newborn care than others," was supported by significant difference statistically (p=0.000). 3.The further analysis showed whether they participated in Prenatal Birth Preparing Class influenced on the father's level of knowledge and confidence in postpartal mother and newborn care. In conclusion, the Father Class is the effective nursing intervention strategy that can help new fathers attain father and husband roles by enhancing the level of confidence in and knowledge of the postpartal mother and newborn care.
Purpose: This study aimed to explore the influences of sense of ethics and attitude toward patient safety in confidence in patient safety in nursing students. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted with 198 students who had clinical practices in two nursing schools. Sense of ethics, attitude and confidence about patient safety were measured by a questionnaire. Data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 19.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results: There were significant differences in satisfaction with nursing major by grade. There were significant positive correlations among sense of ethics, attitude toward patient safety, confidence in patient safety, view on patient's safety, and satisfaction with nursing major. Confidence in patient safety was associated with sense of ethics, attitude toward patient safety, and view on patient's safety, with 37.6% of the variance. Conclusion: The findings suggest that we need to develop curriculums for undergraduate students to improve their sense of ethics and patient safety. Further research is needed to examine educational needs on patient safety in nursing students.
