  • Purpose: In this study, the goal is to analyze this case to prevent the same accidents when using one-shot rifle. Methods: Detailed analysis of damaged parts must first be made in order to determine the cause of the abnormal explosion. The cause of abnormal operation can be determined by analyzing the information of damaged components and the firing mechanism of the weapon step by step. Also we can refer to a statement of shooter, witness and accident scene situation. Based on this theory, cause of abnormal firing can be narrow down. Results: Fracture of pin for fixing firing and latch is cause of abnormal operation of firing. Conclusion: It is deemed that periodic inspection and fundamental improvement of the structure are required to prevent the same accident as this.

  • Most enterprises have controlled claim data related to marketing, production, trade and delivery. They can extract the engineering information needed to the reliability of unit from the claim data, and also detect critical and latent reliability problems. Existing method which could detect abnormal quality unit lists in early stage from claim database has three problems: the exclusion of fallacy probability in claim, the false occurrence of claim fallacy alarm caused by not reflecting inventory information and too many excessive considerations of claim change factors. In this paper, we propose a process and methods extracting abnormal quality unit lists to solve three problems of existing method. Proposed one includes data extraction process for reliability measurement, the calculation method of claim fallacy alarm probability, the method for reflecting inventory time in calculating claim reliability and the method for identification of abnormal quality unit lists. This paper also shows that proposed mechanism could be effectively used after analyzing improved effects taken from automotive company's claim data adaptation for two years.

드릴링시 가공이상상태의 온라인 검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on The On-line Detection of the Abnormal State in Drilling.)

  • Monitoring of the drill wear and hole quality change is conducted during the drilling process. Cutting force measured by tool dynamometer is a evident feature estimating abnormal state of drilling. One major difficulty in using tool dynamometer is that the work piece must be mounted on the dynamometer, and thus the machining process is disturbed and discontinuous. Acoustic transducer do not disturb the normal machining process, and provide a relatively easy way to monitor a machining process for industrial application. For this advantage, AE signal is used to estimate the abnormal state. In this study vision system is used to detect flank wear tendency and hole quality, there are many formal factors in hole quality decision circularity, cylindricity, straightness, and so on, but these are difficult to measure in on-line monitoring. The movement of hole center and increasement of hole diameter is presented to determine hole quality As the results of this experiment, AE RMS signal and measurements by vision system are shown the similar tendency as abnormal state of drilling. And detection of the abnormal states using BPNs was achieved 96.4% reliability.

메밀 추출물의 이상 침전 개선 효과에 관한 연구 (Study on Prevention Method of Abnormal Precipitation in Buckwheat Extracts)

  • The aim of this study was to identify the onuses of abnormal precipitation in buckwheat extracts and to suggest the preventive solutions. Abnormal precipitation was formed by the coagulations of small round droplets, and increased when poor quality or old buckwheat used. It was found that, unlike poor quality buckwheat, extracts made from fresh buckwheat showed almost no saccharifying enzyme activity and a lower number of microorganisms. The addition of branched starch to the extracts restricted the occurrence of abnormal precipitation and microorganisms and imparted stability to the extracts.

An Abnormal Breakpoint Data Positioning Method of Wireless Sensor Network Based on Signal Reconstruction

  • The existence of abnormal breakpoint data leads to poor channel balance in wireless sensor networks (WSN). To enhance the communication quality of WSNs, a method for positioning abnormal breakpoint data in WSNs on the basis of signal reconstruction is studied. The WSN signal is collected using compressed sensing theory; the common part of the associated data set is mined by exchanging common information among the cluster head nodes, and the independent parts are updated within each cluster head node. To solve the non-convergence problem in the distributed computing, the approximate term is introduced into the optimization objective function to make the sub-optimization problem strictly convex. And the decompressed sensing signal reconstruction problem is addressed by the alternating direction multiplier method to realize the distributed signal reconstruction of WSNs. Based on the reconstructed WSN signal, the abnormal breakpoint data is located according to the characteristic information of the cross-power spectrum. The proposed method can accurately acquire and reconstruct the signal, reduce the bit error rate during signal transmission, and enhance the communication quality of the experimental object.

해양 USN 환경에서 수질환경의 온라인 정상·비정상 상태 구분 (Online Identification for Normal and Abnormal Status of Water Quality on Ocean USN)

  • 본 논문은 해양 USN 환경에서 수질환경의 온라인 정상 비정상 상태를 구분하기 위한 기법을 제안한다. 해양 수질 환경 인자의 정상 상태 집합을 정의하기 위해 정상 비정상 구분 특성을 갖는 인공면역시스템의 부정선택 알고리즘을 활용한다. 비정상 상태 구분을 위해 해양 USN 환경에서 센서를 통해 수집된 해양 수질 환경의 정상 집합 생성이 필요하다. 이를 위해 각 측정 인자에 대한 단위 데이터의 돌연변이와 해양 수질 상태를 각 요소의 논리곱적 관점에서 상태 데이터의 돌연변이를 기반으로 정상 집합을 생성한다. 생성된 정상 집합을 활용하여 비정상 상태를 구분한다. 이 과정을 가우시안 함수를 기반으로 돌연변이 된 정상 집합에 대하여 모의 실험을 제시한다. 이렇게 제안된 기법을 해양 수질 센서 로거단에 설치함으로써, 온라인으로 해양 수질 환경의 정상 인자를 모니터링 할 수 있다.

  • In resolving industrial quality control problems, a vector of multiple quality characteristic variables is involved rather than a single variable. However, it is not guaranteed that a multivariate control chart based on statistical methods can monitor abnormal signal in case that small changes of relationship between each variables causes abnormal production process. Hence a quality control system for real-time monitoring of the multi-dimensional quality characteristic vector under a multivariate normal process is needed to enhance tile production system quality performance. A pattern analysis approach based on self-organizing map (SOM), an unsupervised learning technique of neural network, is applied to the design of such a quality control system. In this study we present a new material quality control system based on pattern analysis approach and illustrate the effectiveness of proposed system using actual electronic company material data.

한국의 서비스 품질상 수상이 기업가치에 미치는 영향 : 사건연구방법론적 접근 (Effect of Korean Service Quality Awards on the Market Value by using Event Study Methodology)

  • This paper empirically investigates the impact of winning a service quality award on the market value in Korea. We estimates the mean "abnormal" change in the stock prices of sample firms when information of winning a service quality award was publicly announced. To access the validity of the research question, this paper employed collected 47 firms data that received the Korean Service Quality Awards so far. Event study methodology was used to analyze the effect of Korean service quality awards. The findings are as follows; The average abnormal returns on the event date are not significant at the 0.05 level which means that the receiving Korean Service Quality Awards has no influence on the firms' market value. On the other hand successive awarded firms have an increasing effect on the market value and it is significant at the 0.05 level. Furthermore, the results show that the factors of firm size such as firm's total assets are critical to vary the firms' abnormal returns. There might be some limitations in this study. The most obvious problem is the limitation of sample size. Although 518 sample cases were found during the period from 2000 to 2008, most of the cases were deleted according to the sample criteria. We are expecting the future research with more data and more precise results. Furthermore, our research consider the only two service award institutions even though there are several different service award authorities in Korea. It is needed to expand the research scope and range to adopt the various service award institutions for the future work.

Experimental Realization of Matrix Converter Based Induction Motor Drive under Various Abnormal Voltage Conditions

  • While the matrix converter has many advantages that include bi-directional power flow, a size reduction, a long lifetime, and sinusoidal input currents, it is vulnerable to the input voltage disturbances, because it directly exchanges the input voltage to the output voltage. So, in this paper, a critical evaluation of the effect of various abnormal voltage conditions like unbalanced power supply, balanced non-sinusoidal power supply, input voltage sags and short time blackout of power supply on matrix converter fed induction motor drives is presented. The operation under various abnormal conditions has been analyzed. For this, a 230V, 250VA three phase to three phase matrix converter (MC) fed induction motor drive prototype is implemented using DSP based controller and tests have been carried out to evaluate and improve the stability of system under typical abnormal conditions. Digital storage oscilloscope & power quality analyzer are used for experimental observations.
