The study was conducted at semi urban area in Bangladesh. It was based on a field survey by a prepared questionnaire. Various milking and reproduction performance were analyzed. The effects of grazing hour were found significant on age at weaning (AW) (p<0.001), age at first heat (AFH) (p<0.001), age at first conception (AF conception) (p<0.001), age at first calving (AF calving) (p<0.001), post partum heat period (PPHP) (p<0.001), calving interval (CI) (p<0.001), lactation length (LL) (p<0.001) and total lactational production (TLP) (p<0.001). The effects of concentrate feed were significant on AW (p<0.01), AFH (p<0.01), AF conception (p<0.001), AF calving (p<0.001), PPHP (p<0.001) CI (p<0.001), LL (p<0.001) and TLP (p<0.001). The effects of management level were significant on AW (p<0.001), PPHP (p<0.01), CI (p<0.001), daily milk yield (DMY) (p<0.05) and TLP (p<0.001). The overall mean values were $251.88{\pm}2.97$ days for AW, $37.29{\pm}0.33$ months for AFH, $38.43{\pm}0.34$ months for AF conception, $47.62{\pm}0.34$ months for AF calving, $1.30{\pm}0.02$ number of services per conception (NSPC), $191.57{\pm}3.92$ days for PPHP, $17.02{\pm}0.15$ months for CI, $2.49{\pm}0.06kg$ for DMY, $247.23{\pm}3.51$ days for LL and $590.40{\pm}15.00kg$ for TLP.
The present study investigated stocking density and genetic lines, factors that may alter the severity and incidence of angel wing (AW), in White Roman geese. Geese (n = 384) from two genetically selected lines (normal- winged line, NL, and angel-winged line, AL, respectively) and one commercial line (CL) were raised in four pens. Following common commercial practice, low-stocking-density (LD), medium-stocking-density, and high-stocking-density treatments were respectively administered to 24, 32, and 40 geese per pen at 0 to 3 weeks ($1.92m^2/pen$) and 4 to 6 weeks ($13.2m^2/pen$) of age and to 24, 30, and 36 geese at 7 to 14 weeks ($20.0m^2/pen$) of age. The results revealed that stocking density mainly affected body weight gain in geese younger than 4 weeks, and that geese subjected to LD had a high body weight at 2 weeks of age. However, the effect of stocking density on the severity score of AW (SSAW) and incidence of AW (IAW) did not differ significantly among the treatments. Differences were observed among the genetic stocks; that is, SSAW and IAW were significantly higher in AL than in NL and CL. Genetic selection generally aggravates AW, complicating its elimination. To effectively reduce IAW, stocking density, a suspected causal factor, should be lower than that presently applied commercially.
A present semiconductor cleaning technology is based upon RCA cleaning technology which consumes vast amounts of chemicals and ultra pure water(UPW) and is the high temperature process. Therefore, this technology gives rise to the many environmental issues, and some alternatives such as electrolyzed water(EW) are being studied. In this work, intentionally contaminated Si wafers were cleaned using the electrolyzed water. The electrolyzed water was generated by an electrolysis system which consists of three anode, cathode, and middle chambers. Oxidative water and reductive water were obtained in anode and cathode chambers, respectively. In case of NH4Cl electrolyte, the oxidation-reduction potential and pH for anode water(AW) and cathode water(CW) were measured to be +1050mV and 4.8, and -750mV and 10.0, respectively. AW and CW were deteriorated after electrolyzed, but maintained their characteristics for more than 40 minutes sufficiently enough for cleaning. Their deterioration was correlated with CO2 concentration changes dissolved from air. Contact angles of UPW, AW, and CW on DHF treated Si wafer surfaces were measured to be $65.9^{\circ}$, $66.5^{\circ}$ and $56.8^{\circ}$, respectively, which characterizes clearly the eletrolyzed water. To analyze the amount of metallic impurities on Si wafer surface, ICP-MS was introduced. It was known that AW was effective for Cu removal, while CW was more effective for Fe removal. To analyze the number of particles on Si wafer surfaces, Tencor 6220 were introduced. The particle distributions after various particle removal processes maintained the same pattern. In this work, RCA consumed about $9{\ell}$ chemicals, while EW did only $400m{\ell}$ HCl electrolyte or $600m{\ell}$ NH4Cl electrolyte. It was hence concluded that EW cleaning technology would be very effective for promoting environment, safety, and health(ESH) issues in the next generation semiconductor manufacturing.
The characteristics of mass transfer in an inorganic ion exchange system where Cs and/or Sr are separated by means of zeolites was investigated. Experimental work to separate Cs or Sr was carried out for Cs-AW300 and CS-AW500 systems in case of Cs whereas for Sr-4A and Sr-13X systems in case of Sr. The experimental conditions were chosen as follows in the batch type separation : temperature $25^{\circ}C$, agitation speed 300rpm, amount of zeolite 4g, volume of solution $0.5{\ell}$, and concentrations of solution 1000ppm, 2000ppm, respectively. As a result, it was found that the mass transfer rate is controlled mainly by the liquid film diffusion. The mass transfer coefficients in the film were found to be in the range of $10^{-4}{\sim}10^{-3}cm/sec$, while the apparent diffusivity inside the particles was found to be in the order of $10^{-8}cm^2/sec$.
Response surface methodology (RSM) was applied to determine the optimum drying conditions for pork jerky. The physicochemical properties of pork jerky, such as final moisture content, water activity (Aw), pH, and shear force were investigated. In addition, sensory characteristics of pork jerky were evaluated and were used as a parameter for determining the optimum condition. Pork jerky samples were dried at different temperatures between 40 to $80^{\circ}C$ for the time ranged from 0 to 10 hr. The predicted values for moisture content, Aw, and shear force of dried pork samples were in good agreement with the experimental values with correlation coefficients ($R^2$) of 0.95, 0.96, and 0.97, respectively. Both drying temperature and time significantly (p<0.01) affected moisture content, Aw, pH, and shear force and their interactions were also significant at p<0.01 except for Aw. RSM showed the optimum drying conditions for pork jerky, based on moisture content, shear force, and sensory evaluation to be oC$65-70^{\circ}C$ for 7-8 hr.
The resistance for atmospheric corrosion of the conventional 5 epoxy resins (Araldite rapid, Araldite AW 106, Araldite SV 427, Devcon, and CDK), those were used to restoration of the iron relics, were investigated in this study. Temperature, UV light, and water were chosen for the factors of the atmospheric corrosion. The drastic voluminous changes of the epoxy resins were found at the temperature range between $40^{\circ}C$ and $70^{\circ}C$ After UV exposure, the colors of the epoxy resins were severely changed. In case of the indoor exposure the chroma value(${\Delta}E$) of the resins were less than 2, which showed a little changes of the colors. The result of the water contact angle test was Araldite rapid>AW 106>Devcon>SV 427>CDK. Although the contact angles of the resins were reduced by UV exposure, SV 427 was stable comparatively.
The auditory experiments based on subjective responses were undertaken for the standard heavy and light weight impact noise and rubber ball impact noise, jumping noise to investigate relations between floor Impact noise levels and subjective responses and to establish the upper/lower limits of floor impact noises. As a result, it was shown that relations between floor Impact noise levels and subjective responses was linear and the lower limit of heavy-weight impact noise was L/sub i, Fmax, AW/=46㏈ and the lower limit of light-weight impact noise was L'/sub n,AW/=56㏈. Finally the 3 subjective classes of floor impact noises were established.

Precipitation is an important component for hydrological and water control study. In general, AWS data provides more accurate but low dense information for precipitation while radar data gives less accurate but high dense information. The objective of this study is to construct adjusted precipitation field based on hierarchical spatial model combining radar data and AWS data. Here, we consider a Bayesian hierarchical model with spatial structure for hourly accumulated precipitation. In addition, we also consider a redistribution of hourly precipitation to 2.5 minute precipitation. Through real data analysis, it has been shown that the proposed approach provides more reasonable precipitation field.
Objectives : The aim of this study is to measure pulse waveforms by applying 5-level graded pressure, and selecting optimum pulse waveforms. Also to proposing the possibility of using AW(Area of the 1/3 upper height of h1) rate in respect to AT(Total Area) for risk assessment of hypertension or arteriosclerosis is another aim of the study. Methods : Pulse waveforms of normotensive were measured by 5-level graded pressure. The pulse waveforms well reflecting properties of blood vessel(having the largest h1) were selected for optimum pulse waveforms. Various parameters(h-parameter, t-parameter, and others) of optimum pulse waveforms were analyzed. AIx(Augmentation index) was calculated by height-parameters to assess arterial stiffness. The area rate of the 1/3 upper height for h1 in respect to total area was analyzed according to aging. Results : According to aging 1. in height-parameter, h2 and h3 were increased but h5 was decreased. 2. In time-parameter, t2, t3, and t5 were getting short. 3. Area of systolic period was increased, and that of diastolic period decreased. 4. AIx rose by aging. 5. AW was significantly increased despite no changes in AT. Conclusions : By analyzing optimum pulse waveforms of 5-level graded pressure method, we could complement weakness of single graded pressure method. Also, possibility of applying the AW rate to risk assessment of hypertension or arteriosclerosis was confirmed in normotensive population which might not be assessed by AIx.
The effect of flour storage conditions on the lipid oxidation of fried products during storage was studied. Wheat flour was stored at $60^{\circ}C$ in the dark and at water activity (Aw) of 0.3, 0.5, or 0.8 for 21 days. The square-shaped dough ($2{\times}2{\times}0.1\;cm$) made with the stored flour and water was fried in soybean oil at $160^{\circ}C$ for 1 min. The fried products were stored at $60^{\circ}C$ for 15 days in the dark. The degree of lipid oxidation of the fried products was evaluated by conjugated dienoic acid (CDA) content and p-anisidine value (PAV). Both CDA content and PAV of the fried products increased with lengthening storage time of the fried products, suggesting that longer storage of the fried products raised the lipid oxidation. Furthermore, the lipid oxidation of the fried products made with flour that had been stored for a longer time tended to be higher than that of those made with unstored or short-term-stored flour. However, Aw at which the flour was stored did not significantly affect the lipid oxidation of either flour or the fried products during storage. The storage time of flour clearly exerted a greater effect than Aw on the lipid oxidation of the fried products during storage at $60^{\circ}C$ in the dark. This suggests that for the storage stability of fried products, the flour storage time is a more important factor than Aw at which the flour is stored.
