In this paper, we propose a method for deciding permission from the ATM(Automated Teller Machine) using face detection. First, we extract skin areas and make candidate face images from an input image, and then detect a face using Adaboost(Adaptive Boosting) algorithm. Next, proposed method executes a template matching for making a decision on whether to wear accessories like sunglasses or a mask in detected face image. Finally, this method decides whether to permit ATM service using this result. Experimental results show that proposed method performed well at indoors ATM environment for detecting whether to wear accessories.

본 논문은 '96년 6월부터 ATM Forum에서 표준화가 진행되고 있는 무선 ATM에 대한 각 계층의 역할과 앞으로의 추진 방향 등에 대한 요약이다. 또한 표준화 작업을 위하여 기고된 기술 문서와 현재 국책사업으로 연구 개발 중인 ATM LAN을 토대로 하여 5 GHz 주파수대에서 25 Mbps 전송 속도로 운용되는 무선 ATM LAN에 대한 설계 예를 제시한다.

As user's demands for high-speed data traffic are recently increased, ABR services are considered as one of important service requirements in ATM networks. Unfortunately, a number of existing ATM switching systems have structural drawbacks as to support ABR services because these switching systems have been developed to support realtime(rt) services such as CBR and rt-VBR services. To support ABR services in the existing ATM switching systems, new traffic control mechanisms for ABR services are required. This paper proposes a method for supporting ABR services in ATM swithcing systems without back-pressure mechanisms and evaluates the performance of the proposed method using simulation.

In this paper, we describe the design of the ATM adapter circuit in the BSC for IMT-2000 Network. This ATM adapter circuit can convert received ATM cell into TDM data in the BSC and vice versa. In the ATM adapter, we implemented both AAL1 and AAL5 functions to provide constant bit rate voice data and variable bit rate packet data servives, simultaneously.

초고속 통신의 실현과 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 TCP/IP 통신의 전송 메카니즘으로서 ATM이 널리 사용되고 있다. TCP층과 ATM층의 상호작용이 TCP층 뿐만 아니라 ATM층에도 영향을 미쳐 처리율과 공정성의 성능이 저하되므로, ATM상의 TCP 트래픽 파라미터, 즉 TG(timer granularity)와 윈도우 크기를 적절하게 조정함으로써 TCP 흐름제어가 ABR 율제어와 상호작용하지 않는다. 그 결과로 상호작용의 영향을 최소화할 수 있으며, TCP의성능향상을 가져올 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 윈도우 크기와 TG와 같은 TCP 파라미터를 조절하여 VBR서비스상에서의 TCP 트랙픽의 성능평가를 통해 높은 처리율과 공정성을 나타내었다.

본 고에서는 초고속정보통신망의 기반구조가 될 ATM 및IP/ATM에서의 보호체계 및 인터넷기반인 IP에서의 보호체계에 관하여 기술한다. IPv6에서는 보호서비스를 제공하기 위하여 인증 헤드와 ESP를 사용하고 있으며 이러한 인증 헤드와 ESP에서의 보호서비스 제공에 관하여 기술한다. ATM에서의 보호체계는 ATM포험에서 지금까지 연구한 ATM보안 규격 내용을 보호서비스 측면에서 소개한다. 또한 IP/ATM의 특성을 고려하여 IP/ATM에 적합한 보호서비스와 보호기술들을 기술한다.

본 논문에서는 ATM 교환기 TMN EMS의 성능 분석을 위한 큐잉 모델을 제시한다. ATM 교환기 관리를 위한 TMN 시스템은 관리자, 대행자, ATM 교환기 등이 계층적인 구조로 이루어져 있다. 관리자는 여러개의 대행자와 통신하며, 대행자는 ATM 교환기의 관리 기능을 대행한다. 우리는 EMS를 구성하는 관리자의 용량과 성능을 예측하기 위하여 큐잉 모델을 정의하였다. 이 모델을 통하여 EMS의 평균 서비스 시간과 용량을 예측할 수 있다.

TTA(한국정보통신기술협회)는 2002년 10월 8일 (주)이스텔시스템즈(www.eastelsystems.com)의 ATM(asynchronous transfer mode) Router (모델명 : EAR-155)에 대하여 성능 및 aging 시험을 수행하여 국내 최초 TTA Verified 인증서(번호: TTA-V-02-001)를 발급하였다. 본 고에서는 두 대의 EAR-155 ATM Routers를 이용하여 각 라우터의 확장 slot에 Fast Ethernet port, ATM OC3(155 Mbps) port, ATM DS3(44.736 Mbps) port, ATM E1(2.048 Mbps) port 및 TDM E1(2.048 Mbps) port를 장착하여 back-to-back으로 연결한 환경에 대한 no-loss UDP throughput 시험결과를 소개한다.

This paper describes on the threats such as IP spoofing, denial of service, and ILMI based attack etc. for IP over ATM network. Especially we discuss on the threats due to ATM characteristics that are VC stealing, multiparty and multi-connection call. Also we investigate on the threats of ATM based MPLS network. Finally we discuss and suggest the various solutions of ATM security.

고속의 셀 스위칭 기술인 ATM 망의 확대호 인하여 기존 망 및 서비스와의 연동이 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. ATM 망이 기간 망으로 적용되더라도 기존의 백본망으로 사용되고 있는 FR(Frame Relay)망은 계속 존재 할 것으로 예상？ 때문에 이들 망의 연동은 필수적이다. ATM/FR 간의 연동 규격은 FR Forum과 ITU-T에서 조금씩 다르게 정의되고 있고 다양한 연동 방식과 다중화 방식이 있기 때문에 이를 통합적으로 관리 할 수 있는 도구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 Web 기반의 망관리 시스템을 설계하고, ATM/FR 연동을 IWF를 이용해서 통합 관리하는 구조를 설계하고 구현한다.
