Catalistic effect of sludge on $NO_x$ removal in cylinder type reactor (원통형 플라즈마 반응기에서 $NO_x$ 제거에 미치는 슬러지의 촉매효과)

  • In this experiment, an attempt to use the sludge pellets as catalyst for NO removal from simulated gas is experimentally investigated by using cylinder type reactor. An experimental investigation has been conducted for NO concentration of 50[ppm], 100[ppm], 200[ppm] balanced with air. a gas flow rate of 5[1/min]. Cylinder type reactor is at upstream of system for corona discharge and packed bed type reactor filled with sludge pellets ate put at downstream of Cylinder type reactor for catalystic effect. And AC voltage to discharge the gases was supplied. In the result, NO removal with magnetic field is higher than that without magnetic field, when packed-bed reactor with sludge pellet is installed at downstream of cylinder reactor NO, $NO_2$ removal rate increased and $O_3$ is not generated.

  • CMMI(Capability Maturity Model Integration) has been recognized as a critical method to validate the competitiveness of software development organization since its introduction. CMMI imposes additional requirements on the software development organization which has been established and certified to the ISO 9001 quality management system. This paper reviews the similarities and differences between CMMI and ISO 9001. This paper also examines what ate required to deploy the CMMI on the aircraft software development organization which has been certified to ISO 9001. The results of this study will help software development organization to provide the direction for implementing CMMI. Some suggestions are presented to identify and strengthen the weak portion of the software process quality management system.

  • 현재까지 폭풍압은 음압과 음압레벨로 측정되어 왔다. 그러나 발파 소음에 의한 인체의 반응이나 가축의 피해 산정 등의 문제에서는 현행 소음진동규제법에서 명시하는 바, 인체의 청감보정이 이루어진 소음레벨을 사용하므로 변환문제가 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 발파 진동 계측기기로 계측한 데이터를 디지털 필터로 처리하여, 소음레벨로 변환하는 프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 실제 발파계측결과에 적용하였다. 그 결과, 국내에서 널리 사용되고 있는 Instantel Inc,의 Blast1ate series에서 계측된 소음데이터가 정밀도 높은 소음레벨로 변환이 가능하였다. 비슷한 정밀도로 계측결과를 ASCII file로 송출할 수 있는 기종에서 계측된 자료도 같은 정도로 처리할 수 있을 것으로 판정되었다.

The Study of Food Habits according to Obesity Index in Elementary School Children .in Yangju City, Kyeong-gi Province (경기도 양주시 초등학생의 비만도에 따른 식습관 조사 연구)

  • This study investigated the food habits of the elementary school children according to obesity index. The subjects included 1,307 elementary school children classified into four groups according to their individual obesity indices: underweight, normal weight, overweight, and obesity. The distribution of subjects by BMI was 51.5% underweight, 32.9% normal weight, 7.3% overweight, and 8.3% obese. Of these children, 62.6% ate breakfast everyday, and common weight control methods were exercise and diet. Lack of appetite was the most common reason for skipping breakfast(75.3%). Most students(74.7%) had Korean traditional cooked rice and side dishes for breakfast, and 69.6% of students responded that their meal speed was $10{\sim}30$ minutes. In conclusion, the food habits influencing obesity were eating speed, snack intake after dinner, and the number of snacks, while the size of meals did not influence obesity.

  • The portion of thin plate is expected to increases as to the development of design and fabrication technology. The weld-induced deformation is more serious in thin plates than in thick plates because heat affect zone of thin plates is wider than that of thick plates, and in addition internal and external constraints much more influence upon weld-induced deformation of thin plates. This paper deals with the application of the mechanical tensioning method to fillet weld of thin plates to reduce the weld-induced deformation. For this, fillet welding test have been carried out for several thin plate specimens with varying plate thickness and magnitude of tensile load. From the present study, it has been found that the tenssoning method is effective on reduction of weld-induced deformation.

  • A distributed control system is designed and imp, fomented to control various pert pherals of a playback-type industrial robot :or synchronized work motion. The distn buted control system conslists of a 16- bit Mini-computer and several 8bit Micro-computers. In the paper, the struttuie of the control system, the software requirements for system operation as well as the hierarchical computer network for interfacing module computers and the Mini - computer are briefly described. and practical difficulties including including interfacing problem ate discussed.

Effects of Speaking Rate on Korean Vowels (발화속도에 따른 한국어 모음의 음향적 특성)

  • In this study, we examined the acoustic characteristics of Korean vowels through a production test under three conditions of speaking rates (slow, normal, fast). The effects of a change in speaking .ate on vowel duration were found to be very strong. The faster speaking rate was, the shorter the total duration of vowels was. But the duration ratio of two components of diphthong was not changed significantly according to changes in speaking rate. But unlike the temporal aspects, the formant value of vowels at their steady-state and change ratio of formant of semivowels were not affected strongly by the change in speaking rate.

  • Milli-structure components ate classified as a component group whose size is between macro and micro scales, that is, about less than 20mm and larger than 1mm. The forming of these components has a typical phenomenon of bulk deformation with thin sheets because of the forming size. In this study, milli-structure rectangular cup drawing is analyzed and measured using the finite element method and experiment. Generally, milli-structure containers or cases like cellular phone vibrator consist of rectangular-shaped drawing to save installation space. A systematic approach is established for the design and the experiment of the forming processes for rectangular milli-structure cases. To verify the simulation results, the experimental investigations were also carried out on a real industrial product. The numerical analysis by FEM shows good agreement with the experimental results in view of the deformation shape of the product.

  • Chalcogenide glasses are suggested as a candidate for optical recording. In this study, we have investigated the holography recording and reconstruction of the polarization state in chalcogenide As$_{40}$ Ge$_{10}$Se$_{15}$ S$_{35}$ thin films. We have used a He-Ne laser light(633nm) to probe and record of the grating. Also the polarization state of object beam was modulated with a λ/4 wave plate. The polarization state of the +1st order diffracted beam was generated by readout of the grating with a linearly polarized reference beam. It was the same-handed polarization state as the polarization state of the recording beam. The result is shown that the diffraction efficiency of circularly polarized recording represents higher than other polarization state.ate.e.

  • Over the last two decades, air quality models have been developed and used in the United States. Many of these models ate distributed as parts of UNAMAP. These models have been used as useful tools for urban air quality management in Korea. However, when we use these models, many problems could be occured because of their different topographical and meteorological conditions. In the present study it is described that the characteristics about developement of the local scale diffusion models for application to Korea. Also for evaluation purpose of the models, input data requirements such as air pollutant concentrations, emission inventory, meteorological data, and field experiment data, were discussed.
